We had been there once before in the Winter, and thought that the food was very good. I remember having a Monte Cristo, which was tasty. We arrived and placed our order: Southwest Turkey and a Chicken Caesar. Neither sandwich had any substitutions or changes. They were ordered as is. The receipt (see photo) shows that the order was placed at 11:47am. There were others ahead of us, so we sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. After about 15 or so minutes, we noticed that patrons who came in and ordered after us, we getting their orders. Finally, at apx. 12:25pm my wife went up and asked where the food was and wanted a refund. The cashier apologized. Suddenly, the food came out and we were told we could have a bag of chips on the house. We grabbed a bag and left. When we arrived home, we found out that not only did the order take over 30 minutes but that it was wrong! We got two Chicken Caesar sandwiches (see photos). One looks great, the other not so great. So, our second visit will be our last.

Yeah, again, I love my ham and eggs. I also ordered three drinks. A coffee, a water, and an OJ freshly squeezed. The tastes were delish, and the colors were so bold. Oh so colorful and bold like my buddy Joseph and his technicolor coat. I doubled up on my cup of Joe. My daughter ordered the taco omelet, and she loved it. She loved it so much that she wanted one to go. Kids. They're too funny. She says I look like a whale but eat so quickly like a bunny. The ham and eggs were perfect, not too salty not too sweet. The eggs were aplenty, and the hash browns were a treat. Sammy's is a staple, and I'm so glad we were able, to get ourselves a table, and eat some great foods while watching basic cable. The best part of it all is that it doesn't cost and arm and leg. Sammy, you fine person, you made a lovely place. A safe space where visitors can eat and enjoy at their own pace. So, for years, we came to Sammy's and were pleased to see eventually Sammy's take over the entire space. But that's history. We enjoyed our meals and the service at Sammy's very much. This year - not so much. I got the chicken fajita omelette with side pancakes and also a side of turkey sausage. I found the chicken fajita omelette to be ok, the chicken was a bit dry. The pancakes were dry. And the sausage was dry and a bit hard. Overall, pretty disappointing. The coffee also was kind of meh. The service was fine, but not great - we had to call our server over a couple of times for water refills. And the place wasn't very crowded. Overall, I think I'll try Sammy's again, but there also are plenty of other breakfast places to try and I can't recommend Sammy's based on our recent meal alone. The food and service just wasn't what they used to be.

The market is upscale and cute. They have some great last minute host gifts and then they also have an amazing dessert case. I was so shocked that we were almost the only ones there each days. Coffee runs $4 a cup, but it's worth it. After multiple trips to Rehoboth, a great cup of coffee is the one thing we couldn't seem to find until now. If you go right when they open, you can snag a day old cinnamon bun for a discount. Totally worth bringing back to the hotel to heat up for 30 seconds in the microwave. We also tried the breakfast sandwich which was fine (eggs, cheese, sausage or bacon on a biscuit). Staff were super friendly. Highly recommend stopping by, if only for the cinnamon buns!
