We arrived around 11:30 and got seated immediately and there were a few open tables still left so a good time to go. I would say the greeter was not super friendly and it took a good 10 plus minutes for someone to come to the table. A waitress that noticed that we had not been helped for awhile caught my eye as I was looking for our server stopped by and took our drink order and apologized for the wait and shared that most servers were just coming on duty. So that was the only negatives I have for our lunch. The restaurant is not super large but it is very cute. Has a lot of cute decorations and a good feel, although I am not a big fan of plastic over the seat coverings but I understand it makes it easier to keep it clean. I ordered a western omelette (don't forget to tell them to add cheese or you don't get any) and potatoes and a biscuit. Also had a glass of the fresh squeezed OJ and it was perfect. The food was excellent and the portion size was good, my only comment was that the biscuit could have been a bit more cooked but the taste was divine. My husband had the reuben and fries and his was very good also. The cost was a little over $50 so not somewhere I would go daily for breakfast but it is located in the tourist area so to be expected. I would recommend a visit for a great meal and I am looking forward to going again and trying some pancakes or French toast. Enjoy!

Since we were going to be in the Millsboro, DE area, I was not sure I would find anything unique or interesting. I came across Kaisy's Delights on Yelp. The reviews were pretty good, and the most recent one I saw was about three months old. After looking at the menu and reading the reviews, I decided to give it a try. When we arrived, the place immediately caught our attention. The building used to be a small bank, and the interior still has the original vault, which makes it really interesting. A young couple with a small child walked in just ahead of us, and the owner invited both of us into the vault. He showed us pictures and shared the story of his family and how the restaurant came to be, along with the inspiration behind the food. My wife ordered the Sweetie Kaiserschmarrn, and I ordered the Skier's Kaiserschmarrn. Kaiserschmarrn is a fluffy, caramelized Austrian shredded pancake, often called Emperor's Mess. It is made from a thick batter with separated eggs, torn into pieces while cooking, and served with powdered sugar and fruit. It has a light, almost soufflé-like texture. My order also came with two sausages. The meal was excellent. The owner was very interactive and enjoyable to talk with. My wife and I both grew up around restaurants, so we tend to notice the details. The place was very clean. The table setting and dining ware were simple and nice. The presentation of the Kaiserschmarrn looked like a mess, which is exactly how it is supposed to look, and it tasted wonderful. We really enjoyed both the food and the conversation. Hearing the owner's story and how he got to where he is today made the experience even better. I would highly recommend giving Kaisy's Delights a try. There are a few more items on the menu I would like to try, and we will be going back.

It was not busy at all when we arrived on a Monday mid morning so we were seat immediately and the server was quick to give us a drink. She was very helpful explaining what some of the menu items were so we could make an informed decision. For our meal we had the Our Iconic Grostl and an open faced Latke - the Jambon de Paris, eggs and cheddar. The Grostl was good, tasty sausage and potatoes and the Jambon was a layer of thinly slicked ham. It was very good but the serving size was rather small for the price. Overall it has lots of options and is worth a try. I would have liked to try one of the pastries but maybe next time.

A Solid Bagel Stop in Lewes…read more I've eaten at Surf Bagel before, so on the way home from a recent business trip I decided to stop again and grab breakfast to go. I ordered a sesame bagel with egg, cheese, and scrapple, along with a hash brown. The bagel was nicely toasted and very fresh, which is really what you hope for when you're stopping at a place that specializes in bagels. The sandwich itself was simple but very satisfying. Nothing over the top or crazy fancy, just a well made breakfast sandwich that hit the spot. The service was friendly and quick, and the place itself has a unique feel to it. Inside they sell quite a bit of Surf Bagel merchandise, which gives it a fun local vibe beyond just being a bagel counter. I included a few photos because the shop has a cool look to it. I stopped in around 9 in the morning and it was still pretty busy, even during the off season. That tells me this place probably gets packed during the summer months. Overall, everything was fresh, the staff was nice, and it's definitely a place I'd stop at again when I'm in the area.
