Our waitress, Mia was amazing and the food and drink were delicious. Upon learning of a dairy intolerance in the group, she took it upon herself to ensure that each item ordered was safe and would be enjoyed by our group, asking follow up questions if she was unsure about dairy being present and assisting with modifications from the kitchen. Very impressed with the chicken hibachi. The chicken was tender and well seasoned. I could have used more ginger dressing on the salad but the added yum yum sauce on the side did the trick. The clear soup was light and refreshing. It had mushrooms and fried onion strips. I had the jasmine milk tea with boba. It was not too sweet. I will have to get extra boba though next time. I was welcomed with ice cold water when I sat down. The staff were friendly and attentive. The ambiance was inviting with moon sculptures on the wall. It was well lit, lots of windows allow natural light inside the restaurant. It also has outside seating. This place is highly recommended the dish I tried was delicious. The menu is not customizable. I have ordered the udon noodles which comes with shrimp. I asked if I could order just vegetable udon noodle bowl and I was angrily told, no! I was really shocked. I will not go again. Additionally, portions are quite small and prices are high. There was absolutely nothing that made this restaurant stand out. The crab rangoon doesn't look like how it was picture on the website, for an appetizer its portioned like a "side" and I was hoping for something more authentic but pork shoyu ramen looks like it's from one of those ramen kits you get from the store. I'm sure the hibachi items are good and the boba tea was good, but it just seems overpriced for the substandard delivery of the food. New restaurants tend to have growing pains, but we found Tea Aki to be a wonderful surprise. The decor was very inviting and modern. I have to compliment the chairs because I found them very comfortable. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. But what blew us away was the food. We started with the bang-bang shrimp. You can be assured that this is a great starter. Crispy despite the sauce, which was not overwhelming. The entree comes with both soup and ginger salad and both were excellent. But the soup, was so amazing that I told our group that this was where I was getting soup from now on when I was under the weather. The chef and owner stopped by the table to thank us for stopping in. I raved about the soup and he explained that he uses beef bone to make his stock. As for the shrimp stir fry, I don't think you can get better taste and serving size anywhere in this area. And I'll go so far as to say anywhere in Delaware! To say I was impressed is an understatement. My only criticism is the layout. Unfortunately there is only inside table seating for 24. And I can ensure that that is not enough now, and once the word is out, in the future. The tables are 4 tops. Had they all been 2 tops, they could seat more people. Additionally, there is some wasted space that could handle a couple more tables, both in the front and along the back wall if the decor was removed. All that said, if I get there and they can't seat me, I'll do take out instead of going somewhere else. The food is that good!!!! Excellent job and all the best to Tea Ali!!!! read more

This is real deal great food. Had the fried Gyoza, Street Noodles, and Steak/Shrimp Hibachi. The best I've had in a long time. Tastes clean and fresh. Not oily like similar dishes can be. We'll be ordering once a week, at least! Thank you to Tea Aki for bringing this great food to Lewes! read more

Well the wait is over! Yeah the place is a sit down place and has an outdoor area. The food is delicious has a spin on food that is not like any other. And the service is wonderful cheerful. Hours are Monday through Sunday. They do take out also. Please support they have parking . I would suggest not bunching up between 5-6 very busy. At this time no reservations are needed. read more
