    a variety of baked goods
    Joe E.

While visiting family in Lewes, I stopped in here a few times in the morning. The first time I stopped in, there was a small line. It was really confusing and even overwhelming. Staff did not seem particularly personable. Not seating available currently inside, just a couple tables in front of the store outside. Walls lined product for sale. A whole section where tables would have been, is decorated with huge sacks of coffee beans and other items. Not much maneuverability inside and felt disorganized when waiting in line or waiting for your order. Even a challenge to find the menu to order from. I wasn't even sure whether they offered barista drinks. I walked out my first time. Next time, they were not as busy. Similar impressions the second time. When you walk in you are faced the baked goods counter and a order / cashier station. There is a sandwich menu posted high on the wall to the left of the cashier. There is a chalk board on the floor underneath the cashier station that lists type of coffee drinks available. To the right of the baked goods display case, on the floor, is another chalk board of available non-caffeine drinks. You really have to hunt around to see just what they offer. The tight space with dispersed menu signage really adds to ones confusion and makes it harder to order for those who are not local. Then, I didn't know where to stand while waiting for my order. Service was mixed. A couple times, staff was more perfunctory. Other visits, different servers were friendly and helpful. With all that said, their hot Belgian cocoa was wonderful! Rich, creamy and smooth. Their pain au chocolat did not skimp on the chocolate, inside and out. Chocolate drizzled over top of the buttery, flakey croissant like bread. I could get addicted to them.

Sub par BLT. Also specifically asked for mayo and toasted bread. Neither was done.

Just got a BLT to go. I asked specifically for mayonnaise and toasted bread. There was neither mayonnaise nor toasted bread. Of course because it was to go it was too late to bring it back. And I got to pay the whopping sum of nine dollars just for that sub par sandwich alone. And besides all that... It had minimal amounts of bacon.

Can you say yummy ? What a cute little shop that is filled with bags and bags of coffee beans. The coffee had a unquie taste to it , the pastries were really good. I decided to get the pumpkin pastry which was out of this world, it was really really good. Everyone there was really nice and down to earth which you barely ever see anymore. Really enjoyed coming here , definitely will be coming back.

Salty service, great coffee and almost broke my tooth on the Ooey Gooey. Last year it melted in my mouth! Maybe a change in recipe? All butter croissant was amazing!

Walked over from the Dogfish in with our coffee in dogfish mugs, ordered a sticky bun, ate said sticky bun, and started Tuesday off right.

One of the Lewes residents recommended this place during my recent stay, and an excellent recommendation it was! Located about 3 miles from downtown Lewes, there is plenty of parking in the busy shopping center...which I always appreciate. Don't be surprised if there is a long line upon walking in as this place is popular with the locals. The smell of freshly baked bread is the first thing that hits you. There is a wide selection of croissants, cakes, muffins, cookies, rolls, danishes, and of course, loaves of bread. A complete list of their offerings can be found here: https://www.labaguettede.com/menus/#lewes-menu As I was vacationing with a group, we got a few items; but I opted for the namesake baguette. When we returned to the AirBnB, the skinny baguette was still warm and had the signature crispy-ish exterior and nice flaky interior. Spread on some butter with coffee, and that was a perfect breakfast. I forgot to take a pic, but the breakfast bacon, egg, and cheese sando was excellent. Crispy strips of bacon, fluffy eggs, melty American cheese, is contained within toasty bread. At $8.50, honestly that is a good deal since it was large enough for two meals. Service was efficient, albeit perhaps a bit brusk...but it was busy so I'm not gonna detract any stars. The staff behind the counter just want you to give the order and don't have time to engage in too much small talk. From start to finish, a large-ish order of 12 items (including 3 breakfast sandos) only took about 8-10 minutes. In additon to baked goods, there are grocery items, t-shirts/cups, and other retail items for sale. While there is limited seating indoors, if you're lucky enough, snag one of the small table outside to enoy dining al fresco.

Wonderful brunch!…read more Stopped in on my birthday for brunch and had a lovely experience. We had the Pistachio Honey Latte, Shakshuka, beef soup, salmon toast and maple veggies. As a Shakshuka lover who has spent time in Israel I am quite picky about my Shakshuka but I can confidently say I was pleasantly surprised by this one and enjoyed every bite! The beef soup was a bit bland unfortunately but the salmon toast has copious amounts of salmon and was delicious. The maple veggies were also wonderful. The pistachio honey latte was perfectly balanced not being overly sweet. Service was nothing to note as you seat yourself and get your own food here but staff was nice. Ambiance was alright, we had to sit out in the patio area which while heated was a less than desirable location to eat but it wasn't bad. Overall we truly enjoyed our time at The Station and will be back without a doubt.
