I have to say during the offseason my bagel always seems a bit old and stale. My last 3 times here the bagels were ordered toasted for our sandwiches and they were not toasted. Also, the cheese was missed on a sandwich. No big deal but it makes a huge difference when a bagel is not fresh and also not toasted. He was wild, but that was how he liked it and so did we we like it wild once we finally got our bagels we order 369. I put emphasis on the 69 because the way the flavor is boomed, so did we once we finally took a bite of our lovely bagel sandwiches to flavor store to melt in her mouths we armed, and and moaned at the lovely taste of gushing sausage and meat and creamy creamy cheese in our mouth with the added touch of the thick, thick, thick bagel everything came into our mouths and so did we we loved our experience at surf bagel. Love their onion & everything bagels. But their "veggie" cream cheese didn't have veggies in it - just plain cream cheese with a few tiny flecks of scallions and carrots. (See photo). When I opened the bag - in store- I thought they mistakenly gave me plain cream cheese. I showed it to them and they said that's how they make it. I asked if they could add more chopped veggies - after all I paid $6.50 for "veggie" cc - they said no. I'd already paid and we had ordered two bagels for the road so I did not ask for a refund. The blue hen was AMAZINGGGG I had my doubts at first at a old bay seasoned bagel with chicken salad in-between but as a Marylander who's going to UDel I tried it anyways and am so glad I did. Surf Bagel is one of my favorite spots to hit while we're doing the outlets in Rehoboth. Their fresh bagels, great coffee, friendly staff, and tasty sandwiches mean we are never disappointed! This time I got the Malibu Bunny bagel sandwich which came with avocado, veggie cream cheese, tomato, and lettuce. My only complaint is that this sandwich could use some sprouts but regardless, it was excellent. I got it on a roasted tomato bagel which was fresh & soft. Stopped here with a friend and our two kiddos before making the trip home from the shore. The shop is cute, in an easy-to-access strip mall with plenty of parking. Inside was PACKED at around 9 am on a Sunday. Lots of seating, mostly claimed, and a long line at the counter. Folks are the register took our orders quickly, and we waited along a crowded sidewall, where there the coffee urns are available for self-service. It took longer than I would've liked for four bagels, but that's what happens when a place gets slammed. When we got in the car, I realized our orders weren't quite right -- my everything bagel wasn't very "everything," nor was it toasted. My daughter's everything with butter actually had cream cheese. And my friend's son's chocolate chip bagel was actually a cinnamon raisin (he's not into cinnamon). Minor errors, but still frustrating after waiting 20ish minutes for something so simple. Good news is the bagels were delicious! I'm willing to give them another try when we return to the shore, but I'm not ready to declare them our traditional stop just yet. read more

I got a dozen anyway but had to go down the road to Panera Bread that does not have any dairy in their plain and everything bagels. My co-pilot ordered a egg everything with egg, bacon, and avocado. The bagel was just a right amount of chewy and soft, a perfect balance... with a little bit of crustyness on the outside.
