Seriously the best breakfast croissant (bacon, egg, and havarti cheese) I've ever had! My son had the Nutella croissant and it was scrumptious too! The iced latte was perfect, and service was fast and friendly. Will be back.

This is from a different day

Best croissants I've had in Delaware, I'm local to the area and go every chance I get! Wish the lines moved faster. I understand they have a new girl working but maybe if the other workers see there is a huge line...maybe they should step in to help get the line down. I waited 20 mins just for 2 croissants! If you go be sure to give yourself 15-20 mins if they have a line!

Lili's place knows how to pack a ton of deliciousness into the even tastier vessels... with freshmade arepas and empanadas.. i always pick to make a beach lunch at Lili's a non-negotiable for our beach vacations. Yes, they have pizza, sandwiches, and other options... but the empanadas have won it all for me! Two of those delicious pockets and an icy cold Jarritos equal a divine beach bite! Today, I ordered two Argentinian Chicken Empandas and two Nutella Empanadas with a Mandarin Jarritos! The savory come with a salsa that is literally "lick the container out" good. The chicken is finely minced to make every bite filled with flavor and the empanada dough is perfectly flaky. The Nutella was an explosion of gooey goodness. Packed with Nutella and sprinkled on top with powdered sugar, these empanadas make you wonder why they aren't on every dessert menu. The inside is so perfectly decorated with gourmet pictures of their food options, signs to remind you that waiting for good food is a good thing, and a perfectly placed bottle opener so you can kick back and pop that top off!

I saw 2 people ask for refunds while waiting 20 min past estimated time for my order. They do offer gluten free crust and vegan cheese which is appreciated. The gluten free pizza was disgusting. Family said the regular pizza tasted like cheap tourist beach pizza and nothing special. The arepa was way too thick and was more like a corn pancake. The steak on it wasn't much better and was chewy

You know they are both the same owner or at least the same franchise even though slightly different names and a slight different array of offerings. This location at the inside area of the same plaza has seating and more seafood. They use quality bread for their oyster po-boy and and use slightly different ingredients compared to the po-boy at DB-Fries. I forget what the ingredients were at both places- you can investigate yourself, lol. I just wanted good food and to stay out of the slight rain on this particular day. The fries are fresh and well done. Better than Thrashers imo and not a line. Looking back, I probably should've gotten the lobster roll here and the po-boy at Henlopen instead because at Henlopen, it's a combination of seafood instead. Nonetheless, the seafood here was fresh and if it's not a bad day and love seafood, you probably can't really make a wrong choice Staff here is friendly.

I could go back for every meal if the lobster roll tasted like that every time. The coleslaw had what I believe to be horseradish or something in it that set it aside from all the other local ones. It was super tasty. The fries were decent but nothing special just all around good fries (maybe the need a special sauce for those to set them off). Service was short and to the point and not much of a vibe or ambiance for a snack shack style.

On our annual Bethany Beach vacation, we searched for the latest restaurant openings and Surfin' Betty's looked like a place worth trying... WOW- IT CERTAINLY IS!! The menu is mind numbingly good!!! We had such a hard time picking our meals because everything sounds amazing from the burgers to the fried chicken sandwiches to the wings to the hot dogs. The abundant toppings, the clever names, and the clear passion for food jumps off the page!!! Maybe it's called Surfin' Betty's because you will keep Surfin and Surfin through the menu on a tidal wave of salivation!!!! We did an online order for takeout. Modifications were simple and the entire ordering process was a breeze. The restaurant is down Garfield Pkwy inland, but only a few minutes from Bethany Beach. The parking lot is jam packed as a few good restaurants are all in the same plazas. But patience is a virtue and spots open up! FYI it's a good thing if a popular place is popular... just remember that! The food pickup was even simpler. Clearly tagged and bagged.. even with a Bag 1 of 2 to ensure that I grabbed both. The order had hand written notes on each container to even make handing it out so easy with an order for a large family. THIS FOOD was THE BEST that we ate all week at Bethany Beach!!! Unanimous decision from the entire family! Highlights - Jam Good Bacon Burger - with two smash patties crisped and greasy, a gooey bacon jam, and applewood bacon that was utter perfection, this burger is still in my dreams!!! Pittsburgh Dawg - my hometown represented 7 hours away, I had to order it! The beef link with creamy coleslaw and crispy French fries all held by a buttery Texas Toast - I hate to say it .... But Primanti's should take notes Sweet Thai Chicken Wings - crispy wings with the tastiest sauce ever. Perfect balance of sweetness, savory, and spice!!! I'd eat Sweet Thai as a salad dressing or use it as a toothpaste - I loved it!! The restaurant itself was super well decorated too. This location has been through new occupants for the past few vacations, but I no doubt will see Surfin Betty's next year and for years to come!!

With that known, I found it to be a bit overrated. To begin, I ordered the mozzarella moons for an appetizer and they were excellent. The breading was crispy and the cheese was fresh with a great pull. These were easily the best part of the meal. After that, I ordered the Jam Good Bacon Burger with fries and the results were mediocre. To explain, the burger was overcooked and the meat was bland. Similarly, the bacon jam was over the top sweet and just didn't work well with the burger. On the other hand, the bun was fresh and had nice flavor. But, it was still a below average burger. On the contrary, the fries were pretty good. To intricate, the fries were thin, crispy, and tasted hand-cut. To finalize, Surfin Betty's offers mediocre burgers, but the fries and mozzarella moons are worth your time.

Having frequented this location under its previous name, 99 Sea Level, I wanted to summarize our…read moreinitial two experiences under the restaurant's new management and rebranding. Our first visit took place on Mother's Day around 4:00 PM. Because brunch was still being served and dinner didn't begin until 4:15 PM, I booked a table for two, and we passed the time at the bar. We caught some live music while I enjoyed a $16 Maker's Mark Manhattan before settling the bar tab. Once dinner service opened at 4:15 PM, we were seated inside at table 45 to escape a breezy outdoor deck. It turned out to be the debut day for their new menu. I ordered another $16 Maker's Mark Manhattan and the $36 seafood stew--a rich combination of fish, clams, shrimp, fennel, pepper, onion, Spanish chorizo, and tomato seafood broth accompanied by grilled bread. It was a generous portion, so I brought the remaining stew home to enjoy later that evening. To conclude the meal, I tried the Lucky 7 porter from Evolution Craft Brewing Company ($7), which featured dark dried fruit and sweet toffee tones balanced by notes of chocolate, coffee, and smoke. Our server, Brendan V., did an excellent job caring for us and demonstrated great knowledge of the new menu, even while managing a large outdoor table with five children. Our total bill for that evening came to $114, excluding gratuity. We returned on Memorial Day for a second dinner, this time in a group of five that included family and a friend visiting from Scottsdale, AZ. Since the outdoor fire tables were completely full, we secured a table on the left side of the restaurant. I began with a spicy mango margarita for $14, which featured tequila, mango, lime, agave, jalapeno, and a tajin rim, and opted for the $36 seafood stew once again. Unfortunately, the cocktails were inconsistent this time; I ordered a Maker's Mark Manhattan up, but it tasted like watered-down bourbon. When a second Manhattan tasted exactly the same, I decided to cancel the order. Nevertheless, our server Nadine K. provided excellent service throughout the evening, and our bill came out to $92 before gratuity. Ultimately, we all agreed that we would gladly visit again.

I know the restaurant industry is difficult, and I am usually not one to write bad reviews, but…read morethis one is justified. Don't be lured by the great ocean views. This is still a hotel restaurant, and a mediocre one at best. The good . . . great views of the Atlantic and decent drinks. The bad . . . just about everything else. I'll preface this by saying that I was not going to write a review despite the underwhelming experience, but after the final straw, I simply can't resist. We started with a round of cocktails that were attractive and well mixed. The night was off to a good start. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there. Appetizers were fried cauliflower and calamari. Entrees were crabcakes, a Caesar salad topped with a crabcake, seafood bucatini, and seafood stew. Service was indifferent at best. Server did not offer any specials until asked and did not know how to handle problems (see below). The appetizers came out and were fine. The cauliflower was fried, but not as crispy as a really good fried cauliflower. The chipotle aioli had a nice flavor. Calamari was well fried, but the sauce was overly salty. Then came the entrees. The seafood bucatini was the highlight in that it was perfectly acceptable. For $52, I expect a meaty crabcake with lots of jumbo lump. This crabcake was loaded with filler. As for the caesar salad, the menu says it comes with "Shaved parmesan, anchovies, croutons, house made caesar dressing." But the salad came out with no croutons. When we asked the server, he said they ran out of croutons and he needed to bring the manager over to offer a solution (which turned out to be sunflower seeds, smashed cashews, and leftover bread from the kitchen - when we said we'll take them, the server said we may be charged for keeping all three). Lettuce was also the top of the romaine, which was mushy and needed the non-existent croutons to save it. Then there's the seafood stew. The bowl came out with no spoon and no bread (and no plate for shells, but I guess that's not a necessity). They brought a spoon when asked, but said it doesn't come with bread, and we would need to order bread if we wanted it. Seemed odd, but okay. The broth was ridiculously salty and borderline inedible. We paid and left feeling like it was fine, but we probably won't return on future visits to Bethany. Then we checked the menu to see what it said about the seafood stew. Sure enough, it is supposed to come with "grilled bread." Perhaps they ran out of it with the croutons, but to say we would need to order it separately reflects a lack of knowledge of the menu, complete indifference, blatant lying, or all of the above. Beyond that, the pop music was far too loud for a restaurant that wants to be a decent restaurant. The view was nice, but I feel like I just threw my money into the ocean.
