Everyone enjoyed their food, appetizers and dinner! Their ramen was 100x better than Silverlake and I'm kicking myself for not trying this place out sooner. We can't wait to return and try new things, our two youngest (5 & 10) are already begging for another family dinner date. They do offer military discount which we super appreciate AND they were up front about adding 20% gratuity to our bill at the end of the meal which I was shocked and pleasantly surprised as usually other restaurants don't bother to even mention it at all. Always good ramen and great service! Another visit, another satisfied taste buds. Today was perfect time to go back to Jake's for some good ol' ramen soup. It was rainy and cold day which called for some warm food. We ordered spicy tan tan ramen and spicy scallions ramen (added spicy ground pork meat to scallion ramen). Both broths were well balanced and spiced as always. Tea stained egg, green onion, steamed cabbage, seaweed and sweet corn paired well with the soup. To fished all off we ordered tempura green tea cheesecake. The dessert was tasty. The only downside was that the tempura coating tasted like deep fried egg rolls or tempura vegetables. If i could, i would give this place like a 3.6/3.7 Everyone's been hyping this place up to me and i decided to stop there yesterday as we were running some errands in Temecula. I've had a couple people tell me this place is good and to be honest it was very mid. If you've had good ramen before, you definitely won't be impressed by anything here. But for Temecula it's pretty decent and helps get the craving you get. The takoyaki was honestly the worst part of the meanl. Tasted like frozen balls that they just reheat up. Too much sauce on them and they were missing the bonito flakes which honestly isn't that expensive to add to make it feel more "authentic" definitely a -1/5 for me. The miso ramen was very basic and tasted like a plain miso ramen. But i will say the black garlic ramen was actually worth the hype. Both broths were very salty but the black garlic one actually was balanced out with the garlic. I would come back for this item. The service was great so i can see why it has such nice reviews but the food was just not my cup of tea. read more

Haven't had much luck in the ramen department around the area, but had read the great reviews on this place and decided to give it a try. I ordered the Spicy Beef ramen and the hubs got the Volcano ramen. Both looked pretty delicious on the pix - and we decided to add some karaage and octopus legs. We got it to go because, well, kids. The packaging itself was great. Soup was in a separate container and noodles with all the goodies were in a very sturdy sealable plastic bowl. Appetizers we probably should have nixed since fried food tends to not transfer well. Appetizers: The karaage looked very similar to Chik Fila nuggets. They weren't bad, but even with the sauce were just...okay. Next time I'll just order Chik Fila nuggets lol. Way cheaper. The octopus legs were unfortunately over battered and not thoroughly cooked through. Both of the appetizer portions were decent, but both fell a little short on actually being appetizing. Ramen: Spicy Beef: One of the first times I didn't finish my ramen. Overall wasn't bad. It was tasty, but the broth almost felt watered down or "healthy". Can't quite put my finger on it, but it definitely wasn't the full bodied ramen broth that I'm used to. The beef was tasty, tender and I enjoyed it. The portion wasn't bad for a regular size, but again the whole dish was easily forgettable. Volcano: The spicy beef broth was actually way better than this one. Again, it tasted as if the full body of the broth was missing or strained out? Wasn't bad, but wasn't great. At $14 a pop I was expecting something a little tastier. Compared to Soho Ramen, we actually enjoyed Soho more - but that's not saying much. It's comparing average ramen. Guess we'll have to keep searching or only save ramen for other areas. read more

The absolute best food available! Their lunch special is a great deal and you can substitute a different ramen, if you do not like the 2 offered. I had the Curry Ramen with sweet chili chicken karaage and the panko shrimp. It also came with a bowl of rice which was perfect for me because U love to add it to my ramen. Everything was delicious! The service was over the top making us feel like we were special. Also, their restrooms are beautifully decorated and spotless. They smelled clean too which is important to me. We will definitely be bringing friends and family here, as this is now our favorite place to eat! Do yourselves a favor and visit this place next time you are in the area. From time to time when my parents are in town, we visit Rockin' Ramen. They have patio seating as well as inside dining seating. They've got a variety of appetizers, rice bowls, ramen and boba-type smoothies. During a visit with my mom, we ordered their sweet potato fries, takoyaki, beef rice bowl, and shio ramen. The sweet potato fries were made perfectly crisp with a side of ketchup and sweet chili sauce. I absolutely love takoyaki and had to order it. It was fried where it wasn't oily and topped with their sauces that went well with it. My mom ordered their beef rice bowl which was like a beef teriyaki thinly sliced over a large bed of rice in a bowl. For my lunch, I picked their shio ramen. The shio ramen has chashu, steamed bean sprouts, seaweed, green onion, seasoned egg and sweet corn. Everything blended well together and the broth was hot and flavored with a nice umami. I like this Ramen house compared to the others in Temecula. Food is great and the servers and cooks are really nice. I ordered the volcano Ramen last time I visited and wanted to do something new with it so I asked if I could add spam to it which isn't on their list of meats you can add. The cooks didn't mind and chopped up to slices of spam (that they would use to make masubi) into cubes for my Ramen bowl. That was awesome and made my bowl extra special. After the hustle and bustle of some recent holiday shopping we were in the mood for warm soup, specifically noodle soup, on a cold winters evening. Luckily we remembered this ramen noodle shop's presence from a visit long ago and decided to give them another try, and boy, am I glad we did! We were warmly greeted and seated promptly. The restaurant had a steady stream of diners and take-out orders. After some chit-chat with our waiter, we learned that the restaurant has been under new management and despite the poor reviews of the original establishment, he was eager to show us how their take on ramen was much different. That's when we got a hint that we were in for a treat. Shortly after placing our orders, the capacious ramen noodle bowls were delivered to our table steaming and smelling heavenly. I have to say, the flavors were rich, creamy and flavorful, not at all too bland and watery like we originally remembered it being. I was really surprised by the overall 4-star rating when it comes to the Ramen itself. I will say aside from the food everything else was positive during my dining experience. I'll elaborate. Service was no issue. The waitress was quick to get me seated and understood I was there for a quick lunch so she hustled appropriately to get me in and out of there. The restaurant was clean and tables were spaciously spread during covid times. I had no issue finding the place and there is plenty of parking. I was SUPER excited when I saw that they had Tan Tan Men Ramen here as it's one of the rarer ramens to find, at least where I live. The menu description was described how I know the flavors to be so I put in my order. If you can see the picture attached with my review and are familiar with Tan Tan Men, you'll notice it looks a little "off". Visually, it didn't have the creamy and dense texture because of the cream or milk that some do. Also little bits of corn where in the ramen which wasn't noted anywhere on the ingredients description. I went in for a bite and was majorly disappointed based on flavor. Super super bland and didn't taste authentic at all. I tried to eat it but was quickly over the taste, super lacking. I would say the restaurant has potential given that the service was fine and they have a pretty large menu so I'd imagine you could find something to your taste. I just worry if they got the dish I ordered so wrong flavor wise I don't anticipate to come back as there are so many great Ramen options both north and south of here. read more
