My husband and I came back for a second visit to give this place another try. The restaurant has a simple setup with a casual Japanese-inspired decor. We stopped by during a late lunch, so it wasn't too crowded, making for a relaxed dining experience. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout our visit. I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen. As someone who has been enjoying ramen for many years, I found the broth somewhat underwhelming. It lacked the rich depth and complexity typically achieved through a long-simmered broth, resulting in a lighter flavor than I expected. The noodles also weren't the type of ramen noodles I'm accustomed to finding at more authentic ramen shops. That said, the portion was generous, with plenty of protein in the bowl. My husband ordered the Chashu Bowl, which he thoroughly enjoyed. The bowl was generously topped with tender meat, and the portion was more than satisfying. While this may not be the most authentic Japanese restaurant in my opinion, it is a good option for those looking for hearty portions and friendly service.
Best ever!! Honestly one of my favorite!! More like#1. Scallion soup delicious 10/10 and the wasabi was so spectacular! Great ambience, great serving, and honesty such affordable prices! Highly recommend!
Stopped by for lunch with some coworkers on a weekday and had a really good experience overall. Ramen spots in Temecula are pretty few and far between so it's great to have a place like this around when the craving hits. Since we came on a weekday it was pretty quiet which made the whole thing really relaxed and easy. We got seated right away and the staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in. There is also a cool glass window by the kitchen where you can peek in and watch them making the ramen which was cool. We decided to go with the lunch special and it was such a great deal. I ordered the 2 item combo with miso ramen, potato croquette and panko shrimp and it came out to only $14. The sides were definitely the highlight of the meal, both were cooked really well and full of flavor. The ramen was enjoyable though it did not completely blow me away. But honestly for that price it is really hard to find anything to complain about. All in all a great little lunch spot with good food, fair prices and a welcoming atmosphere. If you are in the area and want a satisfying ramen meal without breaking the bank, this place is worth checking out!
First meal at Rockin' Ramen and it was amazing! Service was incredible and the food was just as great. The staff made us feel even more special as a newlywed couple by introducing us to the incredible mango cheesecake. Rockin' Ramen was the best choice to have our first meal to have as husband and wife.
First time trying this place out today. Great customer service, and not too long of a wait on a Saturday. There isn't much seating inside so I can imagine there being a long wait on a weekend night. The bathroom was nice and clean which is a plus. We ordered two different ramens and both were so delicious! My favorite was the beef ramen, I got it with vegetable broth & it was so creamy and flavorful. Highly recommend. I can't wait to come back again.
This ramen spot was so delicious! And the staff was very kind and accommodating as well. I got the miso ramen and my bf got the Chicken Katsu. So good, I wanna go back and try other ramen flavors
This place is tucked away in a shopping strip. Inside and outside was super clean and modern looking. The service was fast and friendly. Unfortunately we had something come up so we had to leave after appetizers arrived. Thankfully the waitress bagged the rest of our order to go and we ate the rest of the ramen later that night. Overall it was still delicious hours later. And the price was pretty reasonable. Loved the takoyaki although they were a little smaller than I have had before, but still very tasty.
First time trying this ramen spot. Was honestly not a fan of the flavor of the broth. However, they have multiple different flavors so maybe I just need to try a different one. The service was very friendly and fast. I also like that they have a dog-friendly patio so we were able to bring our pup with us. The heaters outside also kept us nice and warm out there.
Had lunch at Rockin Ramen and ordered the spicy rockin ramen, sweet chili chicken karaage, and a garden salad. The ramen had a good level of spice with a broth that was full of flavor. Noodles were chewy and held up well. The chicken karaage was crispy with just the right amount of sweet chili glaze, easily the standout. The garden salad was fresh and a nice lighter side. Service was fast and friendly, making it a solid spot for lunch.
We had a fantastic lunch here. We chose the 3 item lunch special and it did not disappoint. Miso ramen with panko shrimp, fish katsu, and chicken kaarage AND Spicy Ramen with panko shrimp, egg rolls and chili chicken kaarage. Both were delicious and came with a side of rice. Food was fresh and tasty, a great value! The panko shrimp were my favorite. The restaurant is quaint and clean. The servers were attentive and so pleasant. Excellent staff here. I would definitely come here again when out in Temecula area.
Ramen was not the best in the area. I tried the Spicy Beef Ramen and although the beef was actually surprisingly tasty and tender, the broth was not the best. On the bright side, this spot is located in a plaza with lots of parking and even has a dog friendly patio. Service was very friendly and food was served super fast.
Great food! First time to an authentic ramen spot. Plenty of parking out front with inside and outside seating. They do have a bathroom too. Tables and location were very clean. When we walked in just before 12pm on MLK there was only one employee, she didn't acknowledge us when we came in so we took our own seats. Another older woman came in to work around 12. Both were nice taking our order and serving. Place filled up quickly by 12:15pm. We ordered the miso ramen, kids ramen, and chicken with rice. All were delicious and good portions! We also had the strawberry/banana and the plain banana boba smoothies. These were sooooo good! Our waitress also brought us the fried octopus and tako yaki. We thought it was free or included since it was our first time. These were also delicious! Unfortunately when it was time to pay we found out they gave us the $20 worth of appetizers by accident and asked if we would pay for them. I agreed, but lost -1 star for the mistake and then having us pay. Overall a great ramen spot with tons of options. The boba smoothies are excellent and food was well priced for the portions. Just wish the waitresses were a little more attentive when we walked in and what table they were taking food to.
My son and his gf came to visit and took us to dinner at Rockin Ramen. First time having ramen at a real ramen shop. Parking was plentiful. There's outside seating w heaters. The inside has a lot of seating but got crowded during dinner time. Service was great, they constantly refilled our drinks. We ordered spam musubi, sweet chili chicken, chicken ramen, meat lovers ramen, and spicy beef ramen (w substitute miso broth, yes for me because apparently most of their soups use pork broth). Each ramen serving was huge and could have been shared between 2 people. The noodles were good, the beef was tender and I love the subtle miso broth. The sweet chili chicken was delish w a hint of spice (honestly could have been spicier). We finished our meals w taro boba smoothies and Thai tea boba smoothies. Overall a really great ramen spot!! It's such a nice feeling when your child takes you out to dinner and handles the entire bill!!
I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen. The broth was fatty and full of flavor. The highlight was the Shrimp Tempura that was delicious. Had to order 2 orders because it was that good. It was a combination of the batter used that was sweet along with the sauce. Not bad size for a Ramen joint and it seemed to be very popular. There's a handful of tables and a bar area. TIP: NO ALCOHOL SERVED. That's the only negative for me. It would've been perfect to have a beer. read more

Well Date of Visit : February 12, 2023 and We were Craving some Delicious Ramen here In Temecula !! So I looked on Yelp and Rockin Ramen came up and looking at the pictures on Yelp it looked really good !! So off We went and it is located next to Stater Bros in Temecula !! And in a Corner !! So as We walk in we were greeted with a smile and asked if we needed help so first they asked what we wanted to drink so We all got water but looking at there Boba Drinks it sure looked refreshing so I ended up getting there Passion Fruit Boba Drink also !! So as the server brought my Boba Drink to our table I wanted to share with my family and they brought us an extra empty cup so I can pour some around but all of a Sudden we were pouring to fast and spilled it all over the table !! So the worker was kind of enough and wiped down our table really Quick and Brought us a new one plus and half cup on the side !! Great Service I would say !!! She worked fast and checked on our table quite often !!! Next We got the Miso Ramen Soup and the Shoyu Ramen and it was dang delicious !! Another prime Ramen Spot I would say !! Great Service and Good Ramen also !!! As for Parking no Problem lots of space !!! One more thing I also got the Pork Katsu and it hit the Bullseye also !! So if you are in Temecula and looking for a Prime Ramen Restaurant this is the one !! I surely are returning and enjoying more !! read more

It's the best in town since there's no competition here in the valley. We had the seafood and beef ramen and both were great the first time, but was pretty meh after the second time. I thought the noodles were under cooked but then again, maybe that's how they make their ramen. I'll probably come back again if I feel like having some hot noodle soup but I'm not jumping up and down for it. Service was fast and efficient, nothing great. read more

Love their lunch special. I typically ask for the ramen soup temperature to be very hot (I think it tastes the best). I recently came here and did not ask for the temperature to be hot, and that was a mistake. It tasted funny to me, and the soup was lukewarm. They are CLOSED on Tuesdays. Staff is nice and attentive. The food is great. Their bathroom is clean and doesn't smell. I typically dread using public/restaurant restrooms, but this place is good. read more
I came here for lunch with my coworkers and it was pretty crowded. The restaurant is pretty big with tables and bar seating. The service was a lacking. When we entered, we were left waiting at the door for an employee who finally acknowledged us after about 10 minutes. He said that he would clean a table for us and then disappeared. Another server came to us and said the same thing about cleaning the table and then disappeared also. 10 minutes later the server finally cleaned the table and sat us. We looked over the menu, decided on our orders, and waited for someone to come take our orders. It took about another 20 mins for someone to take our orders. Our food did come out pretty quick so we were happy with that. I ordered the lunch special with Spicy Rockin ramen, chicken karaage, and cold tofu. The chicken was really dry and tough to eat. The cold tofu was really just cold tofu and soy sauce on the side, nothing crazy. The ramen itself was lacking flavor. Maybe it's because I just came back from Japan and had eaten a copious amount of ramen over there that has influenced my expectation of ramen but this bowl was not satisfying. Ill have to give it to them that the noodles were decent but a little on the thin side. Overall, I have had much better ramen. This place is decent for Temecula but I don't think I will be returning again specially since it took me an hour in and out of the restaurant for lunch. read more

This has been our third visit at Jake's. If I can recall correctly, the last time we've visited was around a couple of years ago, right about the same time in the year when the weather was starting to get cold in Temecula. The place is welcoming to where it gives you the feeling of an authentic Japanese restaurant. The hostess is friendly and courteous, which I believe is the same person running the tables from our last visit, years ago. It was a busy night, but we were seated fairly quick. Our food came in right away, which was considerably fast. There were only two servers, but they had it down to science and were able to manage the busy dining area. We ordered the following: - Hot Green Tea - The wife ordered this drink and our server used a well-crafted cup with an engraved note, "Hello, Gorgeous". The little things that had made the spouse happy. Indeed, notably artistic. - Soft Macha Slush with boba - Macha flavor is one of my favorite dessert drinks after the mango. The boba was gelatinous and remarkably soft to the core. - Tako Yaki - Appetizing meatballs whereas this one was stuffed with either an oyster or an octopus. It was very delicious. - Miso Ramen Soup x 2 - The soup was flavorful and the soft egg was cooked perfectly with a half juicy yolk. The pork belly was tender all around, matched with tasty soft layer fat around the meat that melted right in the mouth. It was a great dining experience overall. Good food, excellent customer service and certainly a plus for offering a discounted tab for yelpers. We will certainly visit again. read more

What I love about this place is they don't skimp out on their customers at all and the prices are fair. They have many great appetizers to choose and for the most part they are under 10 dollars. I got the panko shrimp which was amazing. For the most part my food was really good, and had it not been for the boba Thai drinks that tasted like what I can only describe has a protein shake with a overly sweet kick then I would have said my meal was perfect. Their lunch deals are totally worth it, whatever you choose from comes with 2-3 different sides. read more

Update*** Went again & AGAIN it was delish!!! We were so excited to find this spot!!!! The soup- out of this world!!!! The appetizer- bomb!!! We got there 5 minutes before their rush... so we didnt wait for seating ir service. I will most definitely be going back.. very soon!!!! This food was delish!! read more

Ordered the panko shrimp & veggie miso ramen, so delicious--the broth was just scrumptious, light and filling. My date ordered the black garlic ramen and Japanese fried rice/yakimeshi, also so tasty. Love they carry Japanese sodas from childhood, felt nostalgic and I enjoyed it. Service was super friendly and attentive. My husband and I were craving ramen for dinner. New to the area, we looked online for the nearest ramen place and found this gem. It's still crazy covid times so only outside dining, online ordering and takeout were available. Mask needed to be worn inside but outside not required. We were asked by the welcoming hostess/waitress if we wanted to eat outside or if our order was to go. We decided to take our food to go. She gave us a menu to look over, offered us to take a seat, offered us glasses of waters. She was very polite and kind. Food came out quick. Once we got home, our ramen was still pretty hot. I ordered the chicken ramen which had an egg, corn, cabbage, and seaweed. Simple but very delicious. I also ordered some veggie rolls. Good decent size and perfectly crispy and stuffed with veggies. My husband ordered the meat lover ramen which had chashu, chicken, ground pork, an egg, cabbage, corn, and seaweed. My husband enjoyed it. Also cleared up his sinuses. If you love spicy food, this one is for you! He also ordered some fish katsu. It was tender fish inside and also perfectly crispy on the outside. They also sell boba! Didn't get any on this trip but we saw other customers ordering boba drinks and they looked delicious! Defiantly coming back to this spot so we need to get a boba drink next time! Very good food and service was great. check in desk is literally at the door i wish there was a more spacious check in so you don't look like you're just standing in a doorway but would def recommend this place and i plan on going again soon. read more

This place is a true hidden gem in Temecula; I've been here twice now and it exceeds my expectations in every way. We had different servers both times, but they maintained the same kindness and consistency of checking on us and delivering quickly if we needed something. The food is also always served legitimately the fastest I've ever seen a ramen restaurant pump out orders- my table got our appetizers and bowls within 5 minutes of individually ordering them. I live pretty far away but come down to Temecula every so often and this place will be the highlight of my trips from this point on. read more

It was OK. I've had better Ramen in my life, but maybe I did not order the best of the best? I would try it again just to find out if there are tastier items on the menu. I ordered the miso Ramen, just for future info... On a better note, they have that really great finally shaved ice in their drinks. Love that stuff! read more

Being half Hawaiian, I am ALWAYS on the hunt for good saimin. A lot of ramen places and hawaiian bbq's offer saimin, but not the way I am used to eating it. Jake's still does not have it the way I like it, but with that said, they have a wide variety of ramen choices and the food is very good. The restaurant is clean and the decor is nice. It is a friendly atmosphere and I will be back to enjoy some ramen again. In the meantime, Vegas is still the only place now to get the saimin the way I like it. ;-) read more
