There is ample parking, and it's a quick stop off highway 4. Excessive indoor seating and an outdoor patio, so you are guaranteed a table. I visited this place for breakfast 2 months ago! My coworker had actually recommended it! I just got the breakfast zombie and it was delishhh. I love the concept of this place. I regret not ordering coffee on the side and I still think about how perfect it would have been but I will for sure come back once I'm in the area. The service is so nice as well. I love this place and food is almost always consistent , but unfortunately today when I ordered I was served a sandwich with very bitter cheese that had gone bad and gave me food poisoning, I had to toss the sandwich after the first bite but the rest were amazing . Dammmnmmm! Tasty!!! This was my first visit and this place was no joke! It was early, time for breakfast, but was told they had fresh pulled pork a nd brisket. I went for the pullednpork and it was delicious! The pork was jucy and oh so tasty. The bread pocket was so fresh and tasty. Loved it! And the coffee!! Wow!!! This is not Starbucks (not a fan of that chain). I drink my coffee black, so Im picky. This is not a typical coffee. Super strong, but not bitter. Sure, strong coffee but really an interesting taste. I asked, it is Columbian. I like wine and whisky tasting, tried to pick out some flavors but couldn't, no bother, it is just awsome. I might have to make this place a regular stop. read more

I have been trying since the day this place opened to get an Apple pie zombie and I have yet to be able to try one because they are always sold out. I have called 20 min after opening and they have said they don't have the Apple zombie. I am finally at the point where I given the heck up because either this restaurant doesn't know what supply and demand is or just lazy and don't make the Apple zombie everyday and therefor shouldn't have it on their menu. Either way it's poor Customer service and satisfaction. We had been running errands and realized we missed the most Important meal of the day. I had not had a "zombie" in quite awhile and it seemed like a quick solution to my missed meal. Wifey had wanted to get a coffee, so we definitely marked 2 things off our lists in one full swoop. I had purchased a Ham and Cheese and wifey had ordered a Cappucino. Yummmmy I felt almost as if I was munching on a pork bun but way better this place is a gem

A staple of the east bay. Cheese zombies are something I grew up eating at the school cafeteria and to find them in a restaurant/bar is so satisfying. They taste just like how I remember them and even have some interesting novel flavors. Service is always quick but they can run out later in the day so make sure to come by lunch time! There aren't too many food options in North Concord and Rob's Zombies is a great choice. The location is spacious and there is easy parking in the lot. We ordered ham and cheese, the breakfast, and the apple pie. Unfortunately, they were out of the pups the day we went. I do recommend eating them warm! One thing to note is that my husband has ordered the breakfast zombie twice and both times the zombies were mushy. He wasn't sure if it was undercooked or if it was supposed to be that consistency. Apple pie was interesting, I'm used to flaky crusts and this was a new take. Ham & Cheese is the best and my favorite! Highly recommend! read more

First thing first, the zombies are super yummy which is why I did 3 starts. When i went to pick up my order (which I ordered from the toast app) The lady informed me that there was no order for me. So they ran out of the pizza zombie and none of my drinks were made yet. She promptly started fixing my order and she was super nice 5 stars to her! I ordered a cappuccino, drip coffee and hot chocolate which tasted like water. No good. Annnd my cappuccino....ugh...my cappuccino....! I think she forgot to put the shot in because it was like some kinda caramel milk. That's not the worst part about my drink though. Even after she secured the lid on in THE TRAY it did not stay on. which means.. yup, you guessed it EVERYWHERE! all over my car and myself that S@#T was HOT! PLEASE get better cups and lids so this doesn't happen to anyone else. I am just glad it was my drink and not my daughter's hot chocolate. I would've been very upset. Robs Zombies. Very nostalgic! They are serving breakfast sandwiches and other things. But I came in for the cheeses zombies. These sandwiches are filled with cheese. They also have some filled with chicken and jalapeño and more. These sandwiches were served at my high school. It was very nostalgic of the good old days. It tasted like it did back in the day. I loved it. I also bought a very large chocolate chip cookies. It was bigger than my hand. It was soft and chewy just like how I like it. The size of the bread is maybe a little bit bigger than a normal burger. The price is standard and but I don't mind it. Service was great. Very friendly people inside. I've been wanting to try a Zombie for a while now and finally got a chance to a few weeks ago. I don't get it. I read through other people's reviews and these sandwiches definitely get a bump due to the nostalgia factor (of which I had none). Got the Original, which is a roll stuffed with American cheese. The bread's not that great - would not recommend this one. Also, tried a Ham and Cheese - which is the same thing with thin sliced deli ham on the inside. It was fine - but a lot more interesting than the Original. Had I known what the Zombie was - I'd probably get something way more flavorful like the hot link or pizza. I didn't have either of those, but I would bet those are more tasty. Positives are this place is really fast with the food and it's inexpensive if you just want a quick, hot lunch to go. read more

After learning about Patty's, I also saw that Rob's also served cheese zombies. I decided to compare the two, so I came over and as a control, I bought the original cheese and a cheeseburger zombie as a new flavor. The original reminded me of eating a cheese zombie in a school cafeteria for all the wrong reasons. The bun was fresh, but the cheese just wasn't melted as much as Patty's. The cheese zombie was too bready for my liking, but I was excited because they said they had jalapeños, which I asked for. The jalapeño added a good taste of heat, but I was really hoping it'd be baked inside the zombie with the cheese. The cheeseburger said it had pickles, onion, ketchup, and mustard, and I was hoping to get the sweetness of the ketchup and some tang from the mustard, but it really ended up tasting like a regular burger. The employees were super helpful and kind, and I was able to place my order at a room level conservation. The bathroom was clean, but what was startling was the Joker painting right above the toilet. I ordered a large batch of breakfast sandwiches for the staff meeting and let me tell you they did not disappoint. Each sandwich was individually wrapped and mason warm when I picked them up. Everything was boxed and ready for me with perfect timing. Service was exceptional, top-tier For the food, I wish they had a Rob zombies everywhere because this is a perfect grab and go breakfast. It's fresh filling and just plain delicious. The concept of a stuffed bun is absolutely amazing. It's almost like an American style bao. There's not a lot of places out in this area to eat. Working here recently I passed by this spot a few times, but finally decided to try it out. Very friendly staff and the ambiance is nice inside. I ordered a ham and cheese and a sausage and pepper jack cheese zombie. And tot top it off an iced vanilla latte. The zombies were delicious. Much bigger than I thought they would be (truthfully one would have been enough) and very tasty. The latte was good not great as it was a bit too sweet, but hit the spot. I've been craving a cheese zombie since I graduated from CVHS in '93. I heard from a couple people about this spot and finally hit it up. It was everything I remembered and missed. Still warm and gooey cheese. They package each one in a aluminum pocket that keeps it warm and snuggly until it gets in my belly. I also tried the Apple zombie which was good but nothing like the classic plain cheese. Next time I'll try the ham and cheese one. I have a feeling this going to be a new regular place for me. You'd never know this place was over here but it's actually easily accessible right off of Hwy 4 Solano exit next to Kinders and an easy hop back onto the freeway. Staff and the owner all super cool. Zombies are super nostalgic to both my husband and I having grown up in the area where they were a stable brunch item at school. We stopped in on a weekend morning to grab some breakfast. They are hot and ready so you can swing by for a quick grab and go meal. I had the ham and cheese and hubs got the jalapeño popper and hot links. They come pre-made but if you call in advance they can make them more customized. We ordered and they instantly handed us warm buns filled with oozy cheese and fillings. Today we ordered a Zombie quad including a Breakfast Zombie, Zombie Popper, Sausage and Pepper Jack Zombie, and a Hot Link Zombie. Always fresh and always hot. My favorite is the Zombie Popper which is just like it sounds jalapeño, bacon, cheddar and cream cheese. Prices are reasonable ($6-$7) and Iappreciate the variety here as it is slightly different than Patty's. We have to switch off between the two locations. read more
