If you want an honest and caring service expierence DO NOT go to this dealership. My car was throwing codes and the check engine light was on. I called David over at Robert Horn Ford on 10/21/24. I explained everything that had gone on with my car in the last month and the fact that I had just gotten home last week from getting work done in California and even told them the codes that the code reader was getting off of my car. Codes: P0300 and P0303 (these will be important later in my story.) I had to call them each time I needed an update no customer service or keeping customers updated at all. When I called later that week he told me that I was lucky that my car was already in the bay. Most people are waiting a week or two to just get diagnosed. Then came back that my car was fine and all they needed to do was jump/charge the battery and then it would turn over just fine. Then they decided that my car needed to do a parcite test on my battery because something was draining my battery and that is the only issue they found on my car. I agreed to the test. They decided from this test that BCM was going out/ not turning off so it was draining my battery. They charged me 1,100 to fix this issue and even admitted to keeping it an extra day so that they could makesure it did not drain my battery. They came and got me to give me back the car. Got car back on 10/29/24 NOT EVEN 24 hours later I was getting off of the power road exit off the 60 freeway and my car dided in the middle of the lane when we were waiting for the light to turn green. I got it half in and half ou of the lane so we were partically out of danger. Did my best to let the car rest and then finally got it started and limped home. When I called the dealership to report this issue and ask why I would be expierencing this David told me that they didnt even take my car out for a road test after they replaced the BCM in it while they had it. Yes you read that right they replaced a brain to my car and then DID NOT take it out on the road to see if it fixed my problem. He called me back once they towed my car back to their shop to look at it and low and behold it was throwing the codes P0300 and P0303. Now if you look up at the beginning where I told you I hooked it up to a reader and got the codes off the car before it left my house those codes are the same. How does it happen that I leave my car with a dealership for over a week and when it gets back to them it is still throwing the same codes it threw when the car got there the first time? Because they dont listen to their customers or even do the 139 point diganostic test that they charge you $195 for in the beginning. Now when you put those codes into a code reader it tells you that mostlikely the reason for this bad spark plugs and coil packs on the misfiring cylinder. The interesting part about this is when I picked up the car David asked me as he handed me the keys if I did the 100,000 mile service (tune-up) he said that if I would of done that or when I get that done I will see more power in car on the road. When you ask what their advice or remedy was for these codes. They requested $9500 high estimate for a complete engine. Not only do I need an new engine but since Ford is having so many issues with 1.0 L engines it will be a rebuilt one. So that price isnt even a brand new one. The best part about this diagnosis is the only thing I recieved from David and the team when I asked for a diganosis report was a screen shot of a google search of the common problems a 2018 Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost engine has. Then I tried to get help and talk some sense into them through the customer service line to FORD its self. But that is like when you and your sister are introuble and talking to dad. They are just the middle man who goes between the two parties and will did not actually get them to do anything like check into the recall or test for other things before just calling for a entire new engine. They did give me the number to the BBB autoline and I will be presuing that as well because this dealership is shady in their dealings. 11/14 my car was towed home today at my expiense because I refuese to pay even their "for my incovence" price of 6,500 for a engine that my codes do not call for. We even heard him say " This guy is fucking pissing me off" when my husband was having him run numbers. The sales associate flat out said that he didn't want to make my sale because he was in it for the money and our review wouldn't help him collect his bonus. Booked an appointment for an oil change online on 1/8/2022. I selected the "maintenance package - 85K $49.95". I went in this morning 1/11/2022. When I was presented with the bill, the Charge was $66.95. I asked why not $49.95. I was told that on Dec 1 there was a price increase. That is not what their website reflects. If they changed their pricing, why wasn't the website updated? When given a "coupon" , I was charged $55.53. I don't go in often as I am a snowbird. When I do go in, there is always a problem with pricing. I recommend going to another dealer even if it is farther. That's what I'm going to do! read more

I called into the parts department to check inventory on a few items, they had them in stock so I had them set them aside so I could pick them up. I asked them over the phone if they would price match ford oem parts price online and he said sure. When I showed up to pick up the parts they would not price match Ford OEM parts in fact, he mentioned they will only price match another dealers price only and nothing online showing pricing. I asked for reasoning as the items I was showing them online were from a certified ford dealer and his answer was "online companies like that buy bulk quantity of parts and sell them dirt cheap" Dishinest or uneducated employees behind the parts counter with no professionalism at all. Sales: Sean Cross (sales manager/assistant/internet sale director scross@sales.roberthorneford.com) ruins everything he touches. April2023 I was happily working with Brett on an F-150 and Sean continually butted-in and micromanaged. I ignored it because dealerships are always weird, but after what I THOUGHT was rapport-building with Brett and Sean, Sean printed out a contract and tried to pressure me into signing late in the day, with many added prices that I never asked for. I also posted this review to Google Maps. I had a good working relationship with Brett and then Sean seemed to always come in and make things shady. First, Brett was emailing me as I asked, but then Sean kept emailing me asking for a good number ("What the best number that myself can reach you at directly" as his poorly-written email said), and always wanted to talk on the phone. I like email because promises made are in writing (see attached quotes). Sean writes the usual politician stuff like this: "Also understand that we are not here to complicate anything for you and want nothing but to help and earn your business. As stated previously we are upfront and transparent. I have been honest with you from the first correspondence and appreciate you doing the same with myself and Brett. Please feel free to review everything as much as you need and let me know how I can help. [...] If it's today or one month from now, we are willing to always look at the deal and adjust according. I hope to earn your business with our family here and look forward to continued years of a relationship here for down the road. It's not about just helping you with one vehicle, it's earning your trust and relationship for your future business too. My job is to make the car buying experience easy and fun. If we are not the right fit for you then I apologize and let me know how we can improve our process to better the experience. Thank you." ...yet his actions are quite opposite. Bait-and-switch, high-pressure trying to get me to sign at the end of the day when we haven't even talked out-the-door price, etc. Sean seemed to relate with me, then when he knew I didn't want any extras and that I heavily researched prices and financing, he tried to add-on a bunch of 'dealership-installed extras' that were never on the original quote. He responded to my concerns about price changes and added stuff with more poor English writing skills, no reading comprehension, and politician non-answers: "I discounted the vehicle for the amount of the dealer installed equipment that is on the vehicle and included the total in the price so you are not paying for anything additional. The deal that I am doing is the same deal that I gave you when we first corresponded. I thought I emailed you back earlier but it must of not went through with this information.[...] I have been upfront and transparent with you from the beginning. If the deal is not for you then I understand and wish you the best of the luck and hope to earn your business on your next vehicle if not this one. Have a great day and talk with you soon." ...but as you see in the timestamped quotes, those extras (VTR etching, Bedliner already sprayed-on, Window Tint already applied, SmartShield already sprayed/applied, and $4,298 Fidelity extended warranty that I never asked for) were NOT on any quotes, until I went in-person and Sean wanted me to sign within 2 minutes of him printing the paper quote I took a photo of. I got Sean to remove the price of the items, but he insisted on leaving the 4 extras on the quote, even though I argued that the dealership added them without me asking, so the price should have already reflected that, and I wouldn't sign a paper with line items that I didn't want. Sean always dismissed my concerns and changed the subject. 1/5 stars. I ended up leaving because Sean was so shady, and I went to Sanderson Ford where they gave me a transparent price and I bought a 2023 F-150 XL hybrid for just under 60k OTD. Highly recommend Sanderson Ford and Dallas Germundson, but I will never go back to Horne if Sean Cross is still there. read more

UPDATE: Service Manager Todd was reasonable to deal with, and helped come to a solution that both parties could live with. While I wish the service advisors would have properly inspected the vehicle before quoting a price, Todd did ask he could to make things right. Frustrating experience, but ok in the end. Original Post: I dealt with Anthony and Manager Todd Rebhan. Performed an "inspection" of the vehicle and quoted a price for brake repair ($360). Called later to say that their inspection was faulty and they realized the back rotors required replacement. Increased price by $500 (to over $800). I told them this was unacceptable. They did the work on the front, which they received on the false pretense that they would do the whole car. I could do the brake repair for 1/3 the cost. This was a FRAUD and incredibly poor customer service. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. read more

The service department refuses to answer the phone or return phone calls. I have been calling for an update on my vehicle in service without exaggeration for 4 days. Phones ring with no answer, hang ups, etc. Why is my motor home in service you may ask? They replaced my triton v10 engine that failed. I took the vehicle home and it failed again. apparently, they replaced an entire long block without first figuring out what cause the failure. Weeks and weeks later, all I want is an update but it's like pulling teeth. They literally hang up on phone calls to avoid them. Worst service center ever. I received my car back and this happened the first night. I informed the service department in the morning of the issue, they wanted me to drive my car back to them so they could look at it. After a few choice words they did come pick car up. Then they want to tell me that the leak was coming from my windshield. That's not coming from windshield you can see exactly where it's. NOW because it's water damage nothing is covered under warranty. They refuse to take responsibility. It took Big O Tires to identify the problem and Horne Fords "Good Will" fix of over 600.00 ( they charged their own Corporate) was for nothing...They just keep kicking the can down the road! I'm so sick of their lies and taking advantage of me. They wont even give me corporates phone number! The service Director wont show his face and just tells his service guy to deal with it. Even he feels I got the shaft but what can he do! I'm going to corporate and then Pinal County Courts because they knew from day one there was a problem and just kept putting a Band-Aid on it to shut me up and send me on down the road. They took $4000.00 down from a 60 year old woman on disability in Mesa, AZ with 117 degree weather and sold me a car with a leaky A/C system and just kept filling it with Freon until my time ran out! Worst yet, they led me to believe they actually fixed it several times like a reputable company would and I believed them! If it wasn't broken, why did they continue to "fit it"?? I guess the Judge will have to decide who the villian is because I'm not asking for anything that wasn't promised...an A/C that works! I unexpectedly lost all the coolant in my Grand Cherokee due to a broken heater hose. I called Horne, (the closest repair shop) . They got me in right away, fixed the problem in a day and the cost was very reasonable. Brandon and Tim were both wonderful to deal with, they were professional, and respectful and always available when I called for an update. They were supposed to paint a bumper and the paint was not even the same color, then they lied and said that the driver seat required a part and when I went for the car the driver seat was the one that was broken and not even bolted in the car. they are scammers. I special ordered two - 2022 Ford F150's Lariats through this dealership approximately 14 weeks ago. I was told by my sales rep Bruce Tessness "Any available rebate or offers available when the vehicle arrives are available to you, but not the offers available at the time of ordering". Well, my truck arrived last week, and I received an email stating the vehicle was ready for me. I go down the next day to the dealership and find out that the vehicles are in fact not ready. One still needed tint and the other needed tint and the spray in bedliner done. My sales rep was not in yet, but I was helped by his manager (Ben Coffeen). I brought up the rebates and he told me "I will take care of that for you". I received a call later that day from my sales rep (Bruce) telling me they cannot honor that offer because I received too good of deal already by doing an order from the factory. I asked him why he said any "offer or rebate" would be available at the time of delivery and he stated well my manager said you already got a good deal. This was the definition example of bait and switch practice. They then told me if it was going to cause me to have a negative experience then they would just keep the vehicle. (It should be noted all calls to my work line are recorded so this isn't here say). I told him they were very eager to take my business to order two trucks when they had nothing on their lot to sell, but now I don't appreciate being threatened just because he would like to make money on my two trucks that finally came in have 13 weeks. I will include a picture of the offer on their website that has no terms or conditions to the offer, which they have since added. Secondly, when i received an email from the factory stating my vehicle was in production, I noticed the price had changed from what I originally signed for. I asked the dealership and they told me they have no control over this, but they provided a phone number for Ford Corporate. After speaking with corporate I was told there is a price protection guarantee and that the dealer needs to speak with their assigned corporate Ford representative. They said I would not be paying the difference but would pay the original price. After going back and forth several times with the dealer they agreed there was price protection guarantee and told me I would be receiving a refund from Corporate once they sent the dealership the refund check. My sales rep Bruce Tessness sent me an email with the breakdown of the price increase. I was told I would receive the refund. Now after picking up the truck the tune has changed with the dealer, they are saying there is no guarantee and it's up to corporate and they can't guarantee if any how much I will receive back. I am expecting the number provide by their employee plus the given tax increase to the purchase price. I will include a picture below of the email from Robert Horne Ford's employee Bruce telling me the price increase difference I should be refunded. I will also provide screenshots of the dealerships responses sense i reached out to them directly trying to resolve this professionally. Third, the dealership was upset I did not pick up the vehicle before the end of the month. I did not pick up the vehicle because the vehicle was not ready and two because the dealership failed to get me the paperwork needed in time to have signed by my CFO before he left town even though they were given advance notice of his upcoming trip. They day I finally went to go pick up the vehicle I asked if the vehicle was clean and ready to which they respond "The truck was all prepped, washed and detailed the other day. I can have it re washed before you arrive if you wish?" Last time I checked when I am picking up a brand-new vehicle for over $60k I expect it to be clean when I pick up. I will include screen shot of the email. Lastly, the dealership "forgot" to include my $500 deposit towards the final invoice they sent me and then were unable to refund the original card or cut me a check while at the dealership for the refund. I leave this review simply for you to know the facts of what you may walk into should you decide to do business with this establishment. I wish I would have seen it prior to my purchase, but check out Robert Horne Ford's BBB rating. It is a D- Very telling... I bought an electric Ford vehicle back in April of 2024. They told me they hadn't done the registration with the IRS to take my tax credit off the purchase price--that's fine I can get it at tax time. Only problem is that the IRS' website and brochures say a dealer is required to give me a sale report showing that they reported my sale and VIN to the IRS so I can claim my credit later. This isn't something I made up and I provided them with references to the IRS' documentation. Bruce, the sales manager told me there is no such thing and that they checked with Ford and said it's not real. Really? So the IRS has a hoax littered all over their website? When I asked for an email from them explaining what he told me, that I could give to my accountant at tax time, he said he couldn't do that and would escalate the matter to their General Manager, Billy. Well, it's been over a month now and I can't get a call from Billy. I've even left several messages with the front desk over the last few weeks asking him to return my call and he hasn't called once. I am shocked by the lack of customer service and HIGHLY recommend you go elsewhere for your vehicle purchase. We're talking about me possibly losing out on $7,500! Sold me a lemon. Purchased a brand new car at Robert Horne Ford. 24 hours after purchase the car experienced power train failure. I was stranded in the middle of the desert and had to get it towed to the nearest dealership. I called management at Robert Horne Ford to ask for a swap or to "unwind" out of the deal. Management said it was the right thing to do, however they were happy with the sale. They haven't responded to any of my requests or emails. Untrustworthy dealer. Last week I made a 9:00 appointment for an oil change at Horne Ford. When I got there I walked into the service reception area. Five men who worked there were sitting paying no attention to customers. One eventually waited on me. He could not find my appointment made by a female individual last Friday. There was no appointment in their system for me. When I made it, she mentioned there was a 9 and a 3 o'clock so she must of had access to their system. I took the 9. After all this they told me I could wait 1-1/2 hours to get the oil changed. This was the second attempt to get my oil changed at this establishment. This dealer is a joke they wanted me to pay them 500.00 dollars inspect my 2020 f250 I brought in for what I assumed would be an emission related warranty at 75000 miles on a 2020 power stroke Diesel. Diesel exhaust fluid leaking onto my truck exhaust pipe under cab of truck looked like my truck was in fire when hot. They hang up on you instead of answering phone. They try and have you leave a message instead of answering phones. I need updates on my truck in service department. I have no faith in a power train warranty that should cover emissions related items that was a factory defect. Instead they charged me 1700.00 1500.00 of that was labor BULLSHIIT RIPOFF. A 2020 model with 75,000 miles not covered under warranty. I will tell all folks to avoid this dealership all together. The service department is a bunch of lazy dudes playing on their cell phones all day sitting in their chairs Avoid this delaer at all costs. I take care of my air filter fuel filter oil changes etc. They even tried to recommend these items when they are fine. My wife received calls from this dealership to stop in and check them out before she purchases a vehicle. I went with her and the first thing I saw were salesmen scoping us out like they were lions and we were zebras. The first thing that pissed her off was the fact they tried to run her credit when she wasn't interested in making a purchase. That did not sit well with either of us AT ALL. Another thing was an off-color comment that further pissed my wife off. We decided to shorten the visit to me test driving the Edge ST. The Edge ST I test drove was suffering from the infamous shift flare between second and third gear. It felt slower than my 2011 with the 3.5 L V6. So when we bought the Ford vehicle that we owned, everything was great. But since then and we've had to deal, the service department is terrible, they are unreliable or they don't respond. They don't communicate in general. The last time we got the Ford went in for an oil change we went to pick the car up and there was a dent a pretty significant dent in the side door. Than everybody just kind of tried to brush away and nobody tried to do anything or tell us about it in the dent was so big you can't tell me that nobody felt that when they hit whatever they hit. As I opened the passenger door I noticed a water stain on the seat. The closer I looked I noticed dark oil stains on car matts and filthy carpet and seats in the back. The car looked liked it had been submerged in water (Gla 250).How can you pull up a car to the front for a client looking like that? I experienced the worst customer service at Robert Horne Ford Service Department. I made an appointment to bring my car in for service on a Tuesday morning. I asked the assigned Service Advisor (Brandon K.) to call later that day to let me know how long they may need to keep my vehicle after their initial inspection. I did not receive a call later that day. I called on Wednesday afternoon to speak to my Service Advisor, but I was told he was busy at that time but he would call me back soon. I did not get a call back on Wednesday. I called back Thursday morning and I was told again that my Service Advisor was on a call, but he would call me back very soon. He did not call me back, so I called back at 4:30 PM and I asked to speak to the Manager of the Service Department. The man identified himself as Todd on the phone. I explained the situation and the lack of communication for the previous days. Todd said my vehicle was in the shop at that moment and that he would go speak to the Technician that was working on the vehicle and call me back within 10 minutes. I never received a call back that day. On Friday morning I decided to go back in person to the Service Department to determine what was going on. I asked to speak to the Service Manager, Todd, but was told he was in a meeting. But was told I could speak the another Manager named Mike. I explained to the situation to Mike and he went in the shop to get me an update. A few minutes later, a very apologetic Mike explained to me that my vehicle was not worked on at all since I dropped it off four days prior. He indicated that my car was #3 in line today for work. He provided me a copy of my work order which also showed no work had been done and he said there was excuses and they should have called with updates. I simply asked for my keys to take my vehicle elsewhere. It was most disappointing to have the Service Manager (Todd) tell me on Wednesday that they were actively working on my car at that moment. Clearly this Service Department has zero clue what customer service is and is not trustworthy establishment. You will see many available appointments on their online self-service website. Clearly having an appointment means nothing. I spoke to another of their customers on the day I picked up my vehicle and he said that this location was notorious for bad service. Today I took my 2016 Ford F-250 pickup the Robert Horne Ford for a simple oil change. I booked my appointment in advance to save time and was quoted $89.95 plus tax for the service. After the service was completed I got the bill for $155.00 so I asked why it was more than I was quoted. The service writer first told me nobody quoted me $89.95 and was extremely rude to me. They finally admitted they book the service thru a third party booking service. I reminded them they are acting as an agent of their company and they needed to quote honest prices. After demanding to speak to the general manager and then waiting 20 minutes they finally adjusted my bill to the price I was quoted. I haven't been treated that rudely in many years. I will never give them any further business as bait and switch is against the law and that is clearly what they practice. read more

We have dealt with a number of Ford dealerships throughout the years and Robert Horne Ford is the only one that offers consistent quality of service and pricing. They were able to fix our fuel port housing and replace a key quickly and for far less than others were offering. Went out today with the plan to buy a new truck. Started at Robert Horne Ford because it is close to home and the Google reviews were positive. The Yelp reviews were more negative but a lot fewer of them in general. I AM GLAD I didn't allow the Yelp reviews to scare me away. They experience was very good. The information on their website was accurate and they honored the pricing without issue. There were some minor dealer add-ons not mentioned on the internet pricing, but they were reasonable in negotiating the ones I really wanted and didn't want. Dale and Mike were easy to work with and made the experience as painless as possible. I feel the dealership is honest and trustworthy. To me that means a lot. read more

If you are looking for a dealer that delivers what it promises - keep looking. The website says no gimicks and no games. Be careful - the price listed on the website is NOT the price of the vehicle. The vehicles listed on the site are not necessarily even there - even when the sales person says he is going to grab the keys for you. They are there to get you into the dealer. There are many surprises and frustrations along the way. By the time they got done with us the truck was almost $2,000 more and it took almost four hours to get the paperwork done even though we sent the documents in ahead of time. There are "installed accessories" that are extra as well as "optional" items that are not optional. Even if you ask multiple times if the price is really the price - be assured - that is not the price - you are paying more. Their paperwork team struggled with the Farm Bureau rebates we had and could not title the truck the way we needed it titled. so after paying them for the title work once we get the title we get to head to DMV and do it again. We gave the dealer the opportunity to rectify the situation before posting a review and after a 30 minute conversation with the sales manager going over the issues and hearing the reasons/excuses and the challenges of being a car dealer, nothing changed. Responses to the posted review showed the dealership hadn't even read the review but yet claims they "care about the customer" We are not sure where there is a car dealer that delivers what they promise but we do know it isn't at Robert Horne Ford.
