Advertised Internet Price for 2014 Ford Focus $11,016. Received letter stating they will pay KBB Trade-In Value plus an additional $2,000 Bonus. Letter did state offer valid on 2005-14 Ford models; Letter did not state that the certificate could not be used for the purchase of a vehicle found on their website (internet price). They were going to give me $800 as a trade-in for my 2005 Ford Focus; They would not honor the $2000 certificate with the internet price; The total cost to purchase the 2014 Ford Focus with 42,450 miles was over $12,000. The finance specialist did not/would not speak to me directly, only through the salesperson! I was ready to write a check for the purchase of this vehicle plus extra warranty coverage (11,016 - 800 - 2000 = 8,216 + 2000 for extra warranty coverage = 10,216 x 12% = 1226 for a total of $11,442. I will not recommend this dealership and will not return to this dealership. read more

I absolutely hate the car buying process. So when a freak hail storm blew through Colorado Springs and totaled BOTH of my family vehicles I wasn't looking forward to having to search around to replace them. Went to several dealerships in my area to try and find a replacement, I knew my budget and what I was looking for I was not indecisive, and didn't receive much help. One salesmen never called me back ( three separate times) and another after misleading me on a car I had attempted to purchase tried to push a car that was way out of my budget. I was fed up with the local Ford dealership and checked in Arizona since I am soon the be moving here. I say all this to emphasis how happy I am that I found Robert Horne Ford on the USAA car buyers website after weeks of headache and frustration. I called explaining that I wanted to put a car on hold so I could fly to Arizona to purchase it, and Ronnie Bennett was extremely accommodating. It's so refreshing to find an honest car salesmen after having so many bad experiences elsewhere. He never attempted to BS me or push products I didn't want or need. And when it came time for me to pick up the car, the process was pretty simple and quick. He even took the time after the dealership had pretty much already closed to walk me through all the technology in my new Escape. This whole ordeal has been a huge stress and having a dealership that cares about taking care of it's customers is a big relief. If I ever need a car in the future, I will definitely come back to Robert Horne Ford. PS if you're into classic cars like I am, they have some really old Fords in the guest area. I went to this place to take a look at the Ford C-Max Hybrid since it's a new vehicle and I wanted to just learn more about it. It look a while for me to find a salesman, even though I talked to a guy through email and told them when I was going to come by. They were friendly and very low pressure. You can tell that they pride themselves on being honest and not charging people for extraneous items. They actually have a wall of shame where they post stickers from other dealers that have outrageous charges on them. I didn't buy a car from them but not because of the dealership, but because I haven't decided on the car I want yet. I would definitely go back to this dealer if I decide to get a Ford. read more

Runaround. My lease is ending, so I called to schedule a buyout appointment. Dealership opens at 8:00AM, so I set an appointment with Bill Hanson for Friday morning between 8 and 9 to complete my transaction. I show up... greeter tells me that Bill does not come in until 11AM. Hmmm... ok, then speak with the lease end manager and he tells me that they do not complete lease end buyouts at the dealership and to call Ford Credit. I leave, call Ford Credit, and they tell me that the dealership is wrong... purchase transactions must be made at the dealership. Ford Credit recommends that I visit another dealership capable of completing the transaction. I most certainly will... and that was the last time I will visit Robert Horne Ford. Camelback Ford in PHX offers 1,000 times better service and attention to loyal Ford owners. read more

Have visited this place 3 Times now. First to look into the new Ford fusion hybrids for my wife. They were less than informational in telling us about the vehicle, less than helpful in attempting to find the color and trim we wanted. This should have been a sign. But I decided to take my Excursion diesel in for service. This was strung out over 2 days back and forth, didn't resolve any of the issues I brought it in for, charged about $680 for this visit. Not a month later my truck just stops working after running just fine. I call them to get a tow into service evening prior, service woman states that if I get it there she will get it worked on first thing in the morning. Well called at noon this next day... guess what it hasn't even been looked at. Note this is my only work vehicle, I own a distribution route and need this truck to tow everyday. Which I also informed them of upon taking it in. Sorely disappointed with this Ford dealership, I will probably be contacting superstition Ford to get this resolved. #roberthorneford read more

My wife took our vehicle in for an oil change and came out paying for unnecessary "diagnostic" fees. The Sales advisor in the service department, they call them Service Advisors, used a sales tactic to convince my wife to authorize them to run a diagnostic on a switch that had gone bad. They said "oh we can look at that and probably have it fixed today". They didn't disclose that this would be an additional cost, or even an estimate. The switch was indeed bad, but if the "Service Advisor" had done a quick inventory look up he would have known that having it fixed that day would not be possible as they did not have any in stock. We live in a day and age in which most companies have an electronic inventory, and instead of checking he over promised, over charged and under delivered. The part that needed to be replaced would have cost an additional $300 according to them, interestingly it could be found on the internet for $76. To clarify it was the window lock switch, for those of you not familiar that is the switch on the door that locks the other windows so passengers cannot roll their windows down, meaning it is held in place by clips and can be popped out quite simply. Needless to say if you want to go to a dealership that doesn't provide you full disclosure and isn't even capable of doing a quick inventory search, then this is the dealership for you. If like me you want a straight forward service department, one that doesn't use sales tactics, but instead that is truly focused on customer satisfaction and full disclosure find someone else. read more

I called several days ahead and got an Service appointment for 9:30 AM. Arrived about 9:15 and stood in front of the Service Writers desk for 10 minutes, he finally asked if he could help me. Yes !!! Maybe he thought I was waiting for a bus. After explaining who I was, that I had and appointment, and what my problem was he advised they would look at it after lunch. Appointments do not mean anything at this place. Stay away, attitude is very bad. Will not ever return. They spend a lot of money to advertise and then treat customers like you are bothering them. We walked into Horne Ford, Apache Junction with the intention of purchasing a "Used Car" as our 2008 Ford Focus was "totaled" on June 20 by a "Red Light Runner" through no fault-of-our-own. We had always taken our "Ford" into Horne to be serviced and they were always "honest" with services to be performed. We met the "real professional, honest and "care-about-you" sales person, Jamie Rich, of our lives. The car purchase experience was very stressful and not enjoyable! The Sales Manager was a high pressure, in your face person that implied we were stupid or lying about the research we did on KBB and Craigslist! We ended up with two sales people and a manager putting pressure on us, which I would consider an extreme pressure tactic and bullying move! Was helping my Girlfriend and if it was me buying, I would have walked at that point. Wife was in the pickup waiting and told me she saw a couple leave so mad that the guy flipped them off, I wondered about it but now I know.. I agree I hate to post bad reviews but you will regret going out to this place they play the old switch and bate game, while making you wait. then the A hole from the hidden desk comes out with a Carfax telling you your pickup was in a wreck, and why didn't I tell them. my pickup has never been in a wreck and when I looked at his dumb ass report it wasn't even my pickup. There is a single star here for a multitude of reasons. Initially contacting the dealer through the site and email was a great experience. Dealing with the rest was a huge mistake and nightmare. After agreeing on a time, I showed up ready to look at a new mustang. I have always been into sport cars, and because of the drive to work, it just wasnt going to happen. Seeing the new Mustang had such great gas mileage on the V-6, I was jumping on that. My Focus being only 2 and a half years old had over 80k miles on it. So I was getting close to warranty, and there were issues with the car over all. The Salesmen didnt have anything ready, and it was a mess. I had already qualified, but they needed the car for some of the details on trade in etc. The finance manager came out with the salesmen, greeted us, took my keys and headed out. The salesmen tells us to hold on, he will bring the car up front. A few minutes later, the un-washed Mustang is front and center. He gets out, and we get to see the inside, and well that was it. There was no offer to test drive, pop the hood, kick the tires..nothing. The sales guy heads in, comes back out and well..we need to come in with 6k. We wince, and he panics. We hold on while he runs in, and then returns with a...Ok..we can make it work at 3k.. We shook hands, and we left. How do I know they could have done better? The car I did buy from another dealership, that was a fully loaded car, only had me put 1250.00 down. PLUS..a year of oil changes...AND, free floor mats. How these other guys were able to make it work with less down, and a huge decrease in APR..baffles me.. read more

I have debated writing a review for Robert Horne Ford, as I really don't like to leave one star reviews. YIKES... Want to buy a Ford, go to another dealer. I was in the market for either a New or lightly used F-150, and they had some nice trucks posted on their on-line ads, so I make the 30 minute drive out to see them... and YES, I had my check book with me. Before, I go on, its important to add to this story, that it was my day off, so I was dressed in a T-shirt, jeans and was driving my 18-year old Toyota Tacoma. The salesperson was excellent in showing me the trucks. I had found a new F-150/ FX4 that I liked, and took it for a test drive. Earlier, you will remember that I said that I drive a Toyota Tacoma... a very small truck, the 1999 was even smaller than the current body style. So, I explained to the sales person that I would like to take an extended test drive to see if I would be comfortable driving a larger vehicle. He then introduced me to the sales manager who essentially kicked me out of the dealership. He said, "you can drive it all you like if you buy it." Then he said, "We don;'t want to put any miles on our vehicles." I said, "so you're not going to let me take a more extensive test drive?" He said, "only if you buy it." Needless to say, I left. Later that day, I went to another dealership, purchased an F-150, King Ranch, 4x4. By the way, the salesperson there said, "Drive it all you like.--If you are happy with it then we'll make a deal." You have many choices to make these days. Choose businesses that are HAPPY to work with you, and don't judge you on wearing jeans and a T-Shirt. read more

Called them about a car they had listed on CarGurus.com and attempted to negotiate but they held firm on the price of $14,998. The price wasn't great but it wasn't horrible either so we agreed to pay full price. The plan was to fly down from Vegas tomorrow and pick up the car. They said to just come in and finalize everything tomorrow. I insisted on getting a total "Out the door" price before arranging airfare. They said they needed some time to work that up. They called back 20 minutes later and the price had jumped to $17,300 for accessories they claim to have installed on the car and dealer document fees. I expect a couple hundred in dealer document fees but not $2,300 They defended themselves saying they charge everyone that amount. I asked why the CarGurus ad did not have the price for the "extra accessories" and he said he doesnt know why but that all their other buyers are okay with it. Needless to say we cancelled the transaction. I just felt like I should share the experience in case anyone else is tempted to travel to them without getting a total price for the vehicle. read more

I leased a 2015 Ford Escape last year. I was just in for my second oil change. Everyone there is super friendly. As soon as I pulled up in the service area, someone was there to greet me before I even opened my car door. I had an appt. to get the works done. They told me it would be 1- 1 1/2 hours. It was done in 1 hour and 20 minutes. They also gave my car a free car wash. 2 weeks ago I stopped in because my low tire light came on. Again, I pulled up in the service area and someone was there to greet me immediately. They took the car around to the back to check tires. They were back in 5 minutes, had put air in one of my tires. They said no charge and told me to have a good day. I love the customer service here. read more

I brought my F-350 in for routine maintenance. I always make an early appointment several days in advance and, as usual, a service writer approached almost immediately on my arrival. The check-in process went smoothly and my wait for the work to be completed was within the estimate that was given to me. The customer waiting area is not fancy, but adequate. I am giving a 3 star rating because I have no cause to complain, but I did not see that anyone - from the service staff to the cashier - went "above and beyond" to make me feel really valued as a customer. Everyone with whom I dealt was efficient and matter-of-fact in their role, but I get that same level of service at a self checkout in a grocery store. Because of the proximity to my home, I will probably continue to have my vehicle serviced at Robert Horne Ford as long as the complimentary coffee is fresh and hot. read more

Picked up a 2018 Ford Raptor this weekend. Worked with Kevin Hort. We worked everything out via email. He was upfront and honest. He drove his own car to pick me up an hour away and took me back to the dealership. I test drove the truck and made the purchase. There were no surprises with the price. The salesman, Corey Royal is one of the most pleasant people I've ever worked with on a vehicle purchase.
