A bare-bones, no frills, tasty diner breakfast. They were super busy, but the server (who was really nice) was upfront about the wait time. I loved that they had a half biscuit and gravy option (which was still a whole biscuit!) and they threw in an extra egg for the wait. That whole platter for 8 bucks. My partner got the French toast, and I couldn't even get a taste because he devoured it so fast. Special plug for the sausage links, they were so crispy and juicy. Could the service have been faster? Yes. But honestly we weren't in a rush and the food more than made up for it. read more

This place did not disappoint. Started with fresh brewed coffee and ordered food. Each was just delightful on every bite. Staff was great and very kind. This place deserves more ratings. We would definitely come back on our next visit to the state read more

Coffee was very weak, meal had an odd smell I would guess from the Denver omelet, BUT the omelet was really good, lots of filling, finely diced. Hash browns brown on top, very oily underneath. Toast was just ok hot, maybe not that fresh. Lots of Stuckers jam, but strawberry was on the other side of the glass, looked like a mirror at first. Offered more coffee fairly prompt, but very low key sort of dark place, hard to find too (did not stand out which building it was in. read more

Standard breakfast done perfect! Going pier 11 or walk halfway down the outside to a sign that just says restaurant Great service, friendly staff, clean and eclectic! Enjoy your breakfast!!! read more

This location is in Pier 11. It's a small place, about ten tables and has a rustic/nautical decor. I like it. The food was delicious. We all liked our meals. The reason I'm rating it a 3 is because of our server. He looked like an old pirate and he didn't have a friendly personality. We literally watched him discourage people from the place because he had to clean up tables. He would take the cart to clean up tables and would hit chairs (with people in them) along the way. There isn't enough room for it. He did get out orders right and as I mentioned the food was delicious. I'm not sure if he is the regular server so I'd still give it a try because the food was really good. read more

So I love me a good local diner. Nothing fancy or pretentious but with simple food that is delicious! If you like these things you will love this place. Small place that is inside a antique gift shop and on pier 11! All the best things! We tried the biscuits and gravy and the veggie omelet with fresh cut hash browns. Goodness. The biscuits were like pillows the gravy was creamy and had a different sea side spin which was delicious. My veggie omelet we literally FULL of veggies. I would recommend this place to anyone in Astoria! read more

2stars bc the 2 staff members were amazingly kind and patient. Dark Arts weekend is sure to be slammed for any business in Astoria. We arrived at 1105 expecting to wait a bit and be able to eat a hearty breakfast before going to the festival.. by 1215 I asked the one and only waiter for an eta -- we were still 4 tickets behind and he quoted about 20+ minutes. He profusely apologized said they were understaffed due to a sick call. Again - not his fault at all! The kitchen could have been quicker. 2 cooks back there but only 3 tables were fed their meals in the hour we waited. I'd like to come back and try this charming place when it isn't so busy for them. He comp'd our coffee even tho we begged him to charge us, and we still left him a big tip. Staff is 5Stars. But I wish they prepared better for the crowds this weekend. read more

Fantastic breakfast. I had the biscuits, eggs, and gravy. My spouse, the chicken-fried steak. They obviously take pride in their food. Ambience was nothing to leave home over and the location is a bit difficult to find, but I'd return in a heart beat. read more

This place serves perfect, spot-on traditional American breakfast. It's a one man operation, and the poor fellow can get overwhelmed when it gets packed with folks (he being both the waiter and the cook). Be patient. It's worth it. I had one of the better corned beef hash and egg breakfasts that I've ever had here. read more

They don't have alot on there menu but what we ordered was good. The restaurant is inside the tiny mall. Service was good, they were friendly, attentive. It's kind of feels like "a hole in the wall" kind of spot so I appreciate that. read more

Great service but odd location inside of antique mall. Great French toast for the kids and I had beans and egg rice. Pretty good.

ANOTHER GREAT BREAKFAST. This was our third time here and it's still as great as we remembered from last June. We skipped the free breakfast at our hotel to come here and it was absolutely worth it. Good coffee, great chicken fried steak, perfect hash browns, and a great owner/host/chef. Look for us to hit this spot next trip to Astoria. read more

I was very pleasantly suprised. This place is a bitty hole in the wall restaurant. You would swear the people serving you are pirates on shore leave. The menu is basic, but everything we ordered was terrific. I recommend the chicken fried steak. read more

This place is clearly run with love and devotion to quality by the owner and his team. Prepare for a 20 minute wait while your food order is perfectly prepared from scratch. We had fantastic pancakes and chicken fried steak for brunch. First class. Excellent coffee. Excellent service. Not slick, glossy, or franchised. The real deal. No wonder it's the top-rated breakfast place in Astoria. read more

I took a chance on this hyper-local spot and boy - am I glad I did! The one man band is kind and answered all of my questions - except one - what should I get! I wanted him to tell me what to order, but he just wouldn't. So I took a chance on the biscuits and gravy and it was delicious. Homemade old school breakfast! Such a delight. He's the only one - cook, server, register - so after I ate it had gotten a bit crowded and I had to wait for a break in the activity to pay my bill, but when he got to me it was quick and painless using square. I can imagine some people getting frustrated by the "slow service", but to my heart, what you get in TLC and real food is worth it. This breakfast was a highlight of my trip to Astoria! read more

I came in on a Sunday around 10. For one cook and one server, I thought they did well with timing. They were both friendly, and the cook even handed me my food when the waitress was busy. Quaint little place in an easily accessible area downtown. The food was great! I got the country fried steak and eggs. The seasoning was on point. I would definitely eat here again the next time I'm in Astoria. read more

Outstanding breakfast place. Really sweet and helpful staff. My cheese omelette was a perfect size and delicious. The hash browns were perfectly golden, crispy and I've been wanting more all day! The only suggestion I might have is some kind of chicken or Turkey sausage or bacon option would be nice. My husband had 2 fried eggs, hash browns, and toast and his plate looked like he licked it clean. We will definitely be back next time we're in town. read more

Located in an antique mall on the Columbia River. Not fancy, no view but the food was excellent, hot and pretty quickly delivered. Could get a better quality coffee but I am a total coffee snob read more

Arrived and the place was already full. Stayed full during my breakfast so arrive and prepare for a bit of a wait. From the items I see on tables all looked good. I settled on the Chicken Fried steak and eggs. Good sized meal for the price with great "crispy" hashbrowns. Always a plus. Gray on the steak was scratch with good amount of Sausage and choped up red/green peppers as well. It was quite tasty as well. Price for breakfast is accurate to what is posted on Yelp as of today. Would recommend for a good breakfast choice in the Astoria area or a drive up from Warrenton. Nice job guys! read more

For the people who complain about the slow service and limited staff, you must remember that this is a local business, in a small town. The service won't be regulated and pre made like at any chain breakfast establishment. What I assume is the owner/cook was shy at first but once you get him talking he really is a nice guy. He mentioned to us that his morning staff was late so it may be a few extra minutes, there were a few people already dining. We didn't even notice. The food came out hot and fresh and quick, the eggs were sooooo fluffy, the French toast was divine, and my ham steak was cooked perfectly. The salsa in the rice plate was super good in combination with the rest of it (eggs, rice, meats). A classic breakfast place, you will see us again! read more

It's actually inside of a building beside a shop with lots of items for sale (think antique-thrift shop)...the service was good..though it took a long time to get the food. Yikes. Bland and old tasting. Expired condiments on the tables. Staff was friendly but clearly inexperienced and poorly trained. Unclean.

Hidden gem inside the Pier 11 mall! Prices are extremely reasonable for breakfast and the service is EXCELLENT! The inside is quaint and filled with eclectic decor; even though you may be close to another table the owner works to get you seated and fed quickly with nice portion sizes. There's also a wide variety of hot sauce options. Our family of three would definitely come back for breakfast again when we're in the area. read more

I want to "ditto" what other reviews mentioned. I wouldn't have gone inside if it weren't for the 5 star reviews! The "guy" is the owner and after hearing his story I'm so happy Riverwalk is thriving! 'Love patronizing the local businesses, even as a tourist! read more

My family and I went to breakfast here a couple weeks ago on a Sunday. There wasn't a wait and the food was very good. All the food was good and I highly recommend the breakfast fried rice dish. The place is kind of hard to find. It's tucked in a consignment shop on a pier. We visited the shops in the building while we waited for our food. The space that houses the restaurant is dimly lit but clean and has cute decorations. The service was kind of weird but we never had to wait long for anything. read more

This little spot in the Pier 11 building is serving some of the best biscuits and gravy I've ever had in my entire life. B&G is about 70% of my total breakfast orders, so I've probably eaten biscuits and gravy at 200 different restaurants, and I'd put these in the top ten. Great pancakes as well. No idea what this guy is doing with his recipe (bullion maybe? some certain kind of butter?) but the biscuits and gravy speak for themselves. If you're a tourist in Astoria looking for breakfast this should be your go-to for a sit down American style breakfast. Avoid Pig and Pancake at all costs. If you're a late riser or looking for something with a bit more pizzazz, try Tapitio under the bridge in Uniontown and get the sunrise enchiladas or huevos rancheros. Or go to Arnie's in Warrenton. read more

Excellent food! This place is tucked away on Pier 11 but don't let that keep you from giving it a try. Husband got the eggs and hashbrowns.
