We have been to multiple islands in Hawaii and have had great Hawaiian food in California. This…read morefood truck was a surprise and it was amazing. Positives: -their prices were very good and reasonable. -you get a lot of food, great bang for your buck. It was much appreciated especially coming from California where everything still costs an arm and a leg. It's so bad in California that I would have to share with my wife when we go out to try and save money. Sure we can stay home, but we're on vacation and I want to give her a good time. In California I would have to decide between filling up my tank or going out to eat ‍ -we got the BBQ mix plate which had short ribs, teriyaki chicken, and bbq beef. Everything tasted great, I loved how the chicken wasn't too sweet. My wife loved the galbi, that's saying a lot because she's very picky with her galbi. It was just the right amount of savory and had just the right amount of fat. We also got the poke bowl, the fish wasn't too sweet very good and tasted fresh. -service was quick and friendly Ambiance: Note that this is a food truck though they gave a small covered area for rainy days and if you want to eat your food right away. It's that food. Overall 5/5 We didn't expect to find such good Hawaiian food in Astoria, can't wait to come back.

It's on property at a Shell gas station with a convenience store and Growler Guys branch. There is enough strategic parking spots for quick pick up and go. The ambiance of this spot is that there is ample outdoor seating for those brave enough to handle the weather, with most of them covered for rain protection. The service was authentic Hawaiian Style customer service. It always starts off " Whoa, what part you from"... And the conversation could go on for hours without even talking about food. Owner is from Wahiawa (Island of Oahu), his cousin helping him cook is from Waiahole (Oahu) and the daughter of the owner was taking the orders up front. The first test of any Hawaiian Comfort Food eatery is the weight of the take out container. If you need two hands to carry the package, then your in for a treat. The BBQ mix plate was on-point. The Teri-Beef had the right amount of sweetness and juicyness making it a must try for any first timer trying Hawaiian comfort food or former Kamaaina, craving for Island grinds. When people travel along the Oregon Coast, Fish & Chips or seafood is always on top of the eating bucket list. However, you may want to add Tuimato's to that bucket list, for belly satisfaction and enjoying a little bit of Hawaiian Style hospitality.

The French fries (aka British for chips) in my Fried Scallop Full Order basket were cooked just right & plentiful. The scallops were plump and mouth watering! Fresh Coleslaw tasted like it was made that day too. My lunch time desire for seafood made me order a cup of their creamy Clam chowder. Every spoon full had a piece of yummy clam and potatoes were cooked perfectly as well. Because we had driven leisurely to Astoria from Portland Oregon, my appetite was huge. So I ordered their Onion Rings and they were fried to perfection. The order taker, food runners and any staff we encountered, were super courteous and attentive to our requests & first time dining questions. The outdoor setting is massive, fully covered for many tables and super clean. Am so looking forward to returning very soon to Ship Out Fish & Chips to eat their delectable seafood

My cousin and I stopped by this food cart after walking around the Astoria Sunday Market…read more It took 46 minutes to receive our orders after paying, and I'm pretty sure that's due to the staff being extremely stoned, but we forgave this as soon as we bit into our burgers. My cousin ordered the Oklahoma Double Smashburger, and I ordered the Bacon Black and Blue. I thought I had ordered a double, and she thought she had ordered a single, so we ended up moving one patty from her burger to mine. I was really, really hungry. I devoured my burger and fries. I was a little disappointed that fries were the only potential side (all burgers automatically come with fries), but, given how much trouble the staff had keeping orders straight, maybe they don't need to be adding menu items. The Oklahoma was the first decent Oklahoma smashburger I've found anywhere. Both of our burgers were true smashburgers, with caramelized patties. My cousin's had a lot of mustard and onions, while mine had bacon and blue cheese. I didn't love the amount of bacon and blue cheese. It's not my new favorite blue cheese burger of all time-- a spot still held by Gott's in California. But it was really, really good. Good enough to make us forget how annoyed we were at waiting 46 minutes for two burgers. The toppings were all fresh. The bacon and blue cheese were both top quality, although I wished there was a little more of each. The smashburger had really good flavor, but was on the lighter side as far as smashburger patties go. The cart was in a little food cart plaza with about ten carts surrounding a beer tap hall. The vibes were slightly more classy, beach like, and romantic as opposed to other food cart malls. Our burgers were about $18 each, which was definitely on the higher side, but that's what it's like ordering from a bougie food cart by the sea. We carried our burgers down to the alley with murals behind Pine Street Market for amazing photo ops on our way down to the ocean.

That said, I've eaten it ordered from ladies squatting next to rocket stoves on the street...and I want my Thai properly spiced, like my eyelids oughta sweat. American Thai food is adjusted to our tastebuds. So, I typically get it as hot as I can, and add my own chili dust. Folks, I have met my new go-to Thai! They offer spice levels one through five. I ordered it a six. The server told me she could adjust it up to a nine spice level, if I needed that. Um, no ma'am! Six is delightful! Phad Thai tends to accentuate the savory and sweet in most presentations. Not so, this savory, crunchy, tart, and fiery masterclass in Thai noodles! It was incredible. I cannot wait to go back and put myself at the mercy of their amazing presentations of what many will visually recognize as "Thai"......but your tastebuds are in for a treat! This is a destination food truck, people! Wow. I decided, on the strength of the Phad Thai, I should taste the Thom Kha Gai I ordered before I chilled it for my intended lunch tomorrow...... Yeah, so Dee Dee has spice DOWN! Her food also has the delightful flavor layering I love most in really good SE Asian food. The mushrooms in the soup? Buttery, and perfectly cooked. A delightful springiness. The tomatoes are bright and soft. The onions still have body, and onion flavor........and there's a lot of lemongrass and galangal floating around in there! Like the other entree, the Thom Kha is super special. I'm so glad this is a local option for me......my belly has a delightful burn, my lips are only slightly numb, and I'm really content with my Thai tea and mango juice. Love this place already.
