Lunch shrimp & grits - SO delicious!
Kristin P.

Delicious food! Very attentive service! And fun decor that was welcoming. If I lived here, I'd come here all the time!

Grilled sausage plate, Mac & cheese side

Excellent food. Amazing service. Quiet & quaint atmosphere. I'm a bit at a loss for words. The food was well-spiced, well-presented, and a delight to eat. The service was attentive and not over chatty. The ambience was cute, a bit feminine (especially at the door), but quiet, nicely lit. If youre trying to buy a car in Canton, like we were, and want a nice lunch to talk things over, you won't go wrong here. Loved it!

Hanger Steak
Andy X.

TLDR: hanger steak was very good, mashed potatoes were eh. Came here for a rehearsal dinner with a large group. We got appetizers of French loaf rosemary bread, fries, and fried green tomatoes. The bread was a bit tough, fries were standard, and fried green tomatoes were quite good. The hanger steak on the other hand was very well cooked, tender and flavorful. I thought it was a bit undercooked at first for medium rare but ended up being perfect. Mashed potatoes were a bit dry but the steak with chimichurri made up for it. I wish the chimichurri was a little more acidic? Great service, very attentive with bringing water refills and taking additional orders.

Shrimp and Grits
Paul B.

I've been ordering the Shrimp and Grits from the RCB restaurant for the past three years. I formerly gave this plate a review of five stars, but I'm now amending my review to two stars. Although it's still tasty there's hardly any grits in the plate. For $22 this plate is sorely lacking in substance. I spoke with the manager and he offered to get me more grits, but I said that's really not the point. I should've had enough grits in the first place. Regrettably, I won't be going back.

Salmon BLT Sandwich* Cheese Grits
Alex M.

I am in love with the Salmon BLT, especially with added Avacado! It is so delicious. They are always pretty busy, but the service is always speedy. I love coming here for monthly brunch with my friends. The rooftop patio looks very nice! I have also tried the Crab Cake Sandwich and it's so good. I highly recommend!

Live music
Kate B.

Nice service, decent food, great live music. Came with my husband and parents and got to eat out on the balcony in the shade on a perfect warm evening. We had the pleasure of live music which was lovely. Mom and I tried the meatloaf which was quite good. My husband had the Southern Belle Burger and my dad had the pork chop. All the food was good. The free dessert for first time guests was a brownie to share - it was quite hard unfortunately. The pimento app was pretty small and the crustini were extremely hard, thought I might chip a tooth. We also thought the service was a bit slow but could be how they do things here.

We had reservations for 5:30 and they quickly seated us. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and attentive and we never lacked for drink refills. The seating is comfortable and there is upstairs dining accessible by elevator. I ordered the special, a thick cut pork chop. While my wife had the Trout Almondine. For side we chose the creamed kale and risotto. Before our dishes came out I had the kitchen salad with bleu cheese dressing and their complimentary bread. The dipping sauce was nice and a real twang. It was nice and unique for a few bites, but the vinegar was too strong to enjoy it past a few tastings. The salads were nice but nothing terribly exciting and with big leafs of greenery on a flat plate to challenge your dexterity. My pork chop was perfectly cooked and the flavors were fantastic. I'm not a kale fan, but there take was very good. Although the amount of lemon used in the flavoring was a bit too strong for more than a few bites. My risotto also had a sour note, but not as strong, and they were wonderfully creamy. We sampled each other's entrees and I'm not a fish person, but I almost (but not quite) almost regretted not getting the trout. It was absolutely delicious. And the sauce on my pork chop was fantastic. At the end of our meal I visited the restroom, which was where things turned downhill. I know older buildings can be a challenge to keep nice, and there's no predicting when a previous patron can leave a mess. But when I saw the revolting detritus piled in the corner, it was obvious the dirtiness of the bathroom was due to staff neglect over an extended period.

Downtown Kitchen - We ate there several times it was excellent. We love the town of Canton. It was very quaint and so much to do as well as good places to eat.

I wasn't especially hungry but Husband was and it had been a minute since we had burgers. I said "As long as they have the sprouts..." IYKYK. The girl at the counter was adorable and super nice, she confirmed they did have sprouts so I just got that and a Coke. My husband got a cinnamon apple whiskey sour, the mushroom Swiss burger and onion rings. The side patio had heaters going and it was a really pleasant experience out there now that the weather has cooled down. But y'all... Por que no gusto? I was so happy to see that little paper boat full of Brussels sprouts and they were so crispy. But I think I've said all along that "chipotle ranch" feels like a misnomer because I sense neither. (Husband confirms.) Yet they were SO good the first few times I had them, whatever they're dusted in. I stopped to think maybe my preferences have just changed that significantly in the past year or so. I absolutely did not taste Husband's drink because brown likka is diabolical. But he was a fan! He had me try an onion ring and it was just okay as well, unfortunately. They were definitely thin & crispy but I like a LITTLE somethin' to my food. I was thinking I must have the 'Rona until I tasted his burger. So they CAN still cook good burgers, okay? And that's good because...it's Community Burger. I know we don't need a flavor cage match at every meal, but I honestly think they could probably do more with salt/pepper/garlic. I cannot appreciate how tough the services industries have it right now, and I am rooting for Community Burger to succeed. I hope they can pivot and makes Sides the second tastiest section of their menu. Because...it's Community Burger...

Got the jalapeño poppers and the chicken with the ranch on it was amazing. I also got the huevos rancheros burger which was solid, not the biggest fan of the guacamole but that's just my personal opinion. The quality of the beef was amazing and the fact they will cook it to your preference is what is going to make me come back. I also like that the prices are affordable but you still get quality. Did takeout cause we were working an event at the Mill but I'm sure service is amazing. Ambiance is solid because they have indoor and a walk up counter. Hot days in sure inside is better but when events are going on at the mill I can see why they so packed. Give this place a try, something for everyone for sure.

I sat on the main level which had mostly booths (for 4 & 2 persons), half booths, bar seats, and a few tables. The interior was classy, but the ambiance was not. The mood was ruined by whiny acoustic music, probably picked by the staff and not for the customers. I can normally tune it out, but the uncharacteristic F*bombs coming from the speakers were a mood killer. And while waiting for my meal I heard the following exchange from the kitchen: "Your late!" "Are you going to fire me? Please send me home!" The hostile attitudes in the kitchen was unfortunately reflected in the meal. I ordered the fish and chips, and the fries were nicely cooked. The crust on the fish also looked good. But the fish inside was watery and unpleasant. It was also topped with a mass of cilantro sprigs, which did not pair with the flavors. I managed to scrape them all off. The fish was served with vinegar, ketchup, and (missing) tartar sauce. The friendly and attentive waitress was quick to correct the missing sauce, although it did take awhile. My meal also came with a side of slaw that would have been outstanding if the kitchen hadn't made a misstep of loading it with too much salt. The other seasonings in the slaw were excellent and unique and the addition of red onions was great, but sadly ruined by the saltiness. At the end of my meal I visited their modern and stylish restrooms. I'd arrived just after 5PM and on this weekday there were only a few patrons. So the stylish furnishing of the restroom were marred by the mess I encountered in there. Based on the number of employees compared to patrons, there wasn't an excuse for not cleaning that bathroom. I've seen truckstop restrooms that weren't that nasty.

We used to be regulars, and then we stopped going. The food isn't bad and for Canton the restaurant…read moremenu fits in nicely. So why 3 stars? It's the drink prices. No one in town charges more for a beer than this place. For example, I enjoy local IPAs and Creature Comforts (Athens) is everywhere. I can go to several other stops in town and pay less for a 16 oz can or pour of this beer. Compared to another decent stop down the street, three roses is almost 30% more. My wife says one of the wines she likes is a little less than other stops, so that's good. But other drink prices tend to be on the high side as well, but most in town have higher liquor prices. That adds up if you like to frequent a place. Hence, we stopped frequenting. Overall, I like the decor and as noted, the food is decent. The upstairs is better than the downstairs but I'm glad they have the downstairs for some occasion when they could get busy. As for the Tavern / entertainment element, I've never seen any live music but they have several TVs. Not sure this would be my top choice to watch a game but it would work in a pinch if the other places were too busy or noisy.
