Speedy service with good food! The nachos were a good flavor combo - I'd love to try with pulled pork next time! I love the fried chicken Caesar wraps - though the chicken pieces can be too big but love them nonetheless and hits the spot. The fries... ARE AMAZING. Idk what they do but the fries are so tasty. I like to have mine with a side of Caesar dressing. Also had the Brussels sprouts and they are coated in a tangy sweet and savory sauce that's really good.
The food and service was great! I would recommend coming here for an inexpensive and enjoyable brunch!
We had such a great time at Riverside Taphouse. We loved the music that was playing, which was a mix of older rock songs. There is also plenty of seating and we were seated immediately on a late Friday night. We started with a bowl of the Crab, Corn & Clam Chowder which was DELICIOUS! It was so chunky and creamy. This is probably one of my favorite chowders I've had. Next, we ordered the Cuban sandwich which was also pretty good! I love how fresh and crisp the ciabatta was. We upgraded to Brussels sprouts and those were nice and on the sweeter side. We got the duck fat fried donut holes and those were sooooo delicious! The icing was great and the donut holes themselves were nice and dense. I would definitely come back if I'm in the area!
AMBIANCE- 4/5. If you don't like loud environments or close seating, this may not be your place. I expected this place to be a bit more spacious but I had no issue with it, nor did my girls! We were seated at a round high top table and it was plenty space for us. SERVICE- 5/5 our waiter was absolutely the best. He made great recommendations and he was hilarious! Hopefully next time, he'll be our server again! FOOD- 4/5 Brussels sprouts were absolutely amazing, they were so good!! Crab dip was good in the beginning but ended up just being no crab and just really creamy dip. I'd still get it again as an app. DRINKS- 5/5 they were tasty and they were strong, loved it Definitely would come back here for a quick bite before going out for the night! Had a nice experience.
We waited a while before the waitress took our order. She was working the bar area and the restaurant on a Monday night, but the food was good and I would go back. I had the nachos with pulled pork and the pork had an amazing flavor. I also ordered French onion soup, which was meh. We ordered the four meat eggrolls as an appetizer they were OK and the chili, which tasted store-bought versus homemade. I just had a taste for pizza and figured that would satisfy it, but I can never say no to bar nachos. My friend had a burger and fries. The burger was greasy, but who doesn't love a greasy burger! It was pretty tasty. The doughnut dessert was more cakey than doughy. It was OK. I ate one and a half. I think my friend might've had one. She didn't care too much for it. We also ordered a few drinks from the bar which tasted it a little watered down. Overall, I would go back to this place, but I don't know if it would be my go-to place and I wouldn't order any drinks from the bar, but I would definitely get the burger and nachos with pulled pork.
Had the most amazing potato leek soup! So good! Also had Biscuits and gravy for brunch with an Irish coffee- delicious!
Food is pub food but the smashburgers are perfectly seasoned. Fries are similar to Five Guys. There is a bar and people seem friendly. One guy who lives across the street gave up his non permit parking spot so we could park, and took our permit spot we weren't supposed to park in. We thought that was so kind. Water tastes filtered. Bathroom is one stall. Mac and cheese egg rolls are ok but come with delicious warm vodka sauce I ended up using for my fries.
I was on a little "crab food tour," so I came to try their crab nachos. The nachos were not at all what I thought they would be, so it took me a while to get oriented to the flavor. I thought they would be an old bay flavor, but they had a more Asian inspired flavor profile, with wontons as the nacho base versus tortillas. I didn't dislike them. It just wasn't what I expected. The service was good and the bar vibe was chill. I'll have to come back and try some other things in the future to give a more detailed review!
My bf and I had 30 mins to kill and stopped by for a quick afternoon bite. There's lots of street parking nearby and the inside was casual, spacious, and clean with lots of tables and TVs inside. We ordered the cheeseburger egg rolls, crab egg rolls, and Guinness on tap. Egg rolls came out really fast and were delicious but portions were a bit small for the price - would be nice if they had happy hour deals for appetizers. Overall a nice place to grab a casual bite.
We came hungry and thirsty and Riverside Taphouse delivered in a major way! Corner bar and restaurant in the Federal Hill area. Hi top table and bar seating in a comfy and happening atmosphere. So many sizes for their drinks- cool option to have especially for happy hour times and crushes SO GOOD! Our waitress was the sweetest ever and provided wonderful service. She explained all our drink and food options as we ordered. The food is VERY good and it is a pretty big menu offering a lot of options. We opted for the ahi tuna nachos which were HUGE! I was impressed with this dish not because of the size (as it was a full meal not an appetizer unless sharing it) but because of how perfect they dressed these nachos. Tons of tuna and all the other ingredients- added wonder- grilled pineapple, nice touch! Sometimes nachos lack one ingredient but these had some of each element on all of the wonton chips. Highly recommend if you love tuna like I do! Well done- I can imagine their other nachos are equally done as well! The rest of the table got wings- awesome juicy and fried to perfection. Homemade blue cheese dressing- YES! No jarred dressing here, all homemade- another bonus point for Riverside! Macaroni and cheese was divine said my child and my husband thoroughly enjoyed his cheesesteak which could come with a variety of fries or a side salad. He wanted greens so he got them. I love when places offer this as an option. This place was a home run meal for us all!. My family said- make sure you do a Yelp review- too funny! You cannot go wrong with Riverside Taphouse, they provide amazing service, fresh drinks in all sizes, a wonderful menu with excellent food done to perfection. When we are back in Baltimore, my family said this is a must visit- enough said!
Went for brunch- was delicious! They have a nice sized brunch menu and brunch drinks. They offer large sizes of mimosas for a good price, but don't do bottomless. Would definitely recommend! I had the fat boy fried skillet which was delicious and filling.
Shrimp SoBa rolls were Excellent! Consisted of crispy fried shrimp in a soft buttery roll. Honey garlic Brussel sprouts were incredible ! I do not recommend the crab nachos - everything is flavorless. Crab needed to be seasoned separately then added. Staff was super nice. It is loud but you can still talk. It's a typical sports bar with high top tables
My only update from the last review is that this remains one of the best food spots in the city. Great place to watch a ravens game or just grab some drinks and food with friends. I always upgrade to truffle fries (worth it), and the breads and meats for the sandwiches are always so delicious. The cheesesteak is my absolute fave and their orange crushes, but I don't think you could go wrong with literally anything on the menu.

Really great food here for a decent price tag! The service is quick for pick-up and everything was very fresh. My favorite thing was the tuna tartare-- it was flavorful and a large portion. My friend loved their Brussel sprouts and orders them every time we come. Overall, always a good experience! read more

Stopped in for a nice lunch to kick off the weekend. The steak sandwich was good and very tender. The truffle fries were delicious, as always. They're probably my favorite side here. The drinks always hit the spot and the service was great. The staff was very attentive and there was a long wait for my food at all. read more

Tasty bar food with a twist, but small portions. Riverside Taphouse just opened recently. They were open for indoor and outdoor dining, but I got takeout. Food was ready in about 20 minutes. Staff was friendly and fully masked. I ordered the bacon Mac and cheese eggrolls, the bistro steak sandwich with upgraded Brussels sprouts, and the duck fat fried donut holes. The Mac and cheese egg rolls were delicious! Crispy, creamy, cheesy. So good that my boyfriend saw them and actually called up to order another set! I would get that again or try their other egg rolls. Comes w/ 2, split in half and a tomato soup dipping sauce. For my entree, I got the bistro steak sandwich but as a wrap. The steak was tender and well seasoned. However, I upgraded from fries to Brussels sprouts. While they were delicious, there were about 4 Brussels sprouts, see photo. For a $1.50 upcharge, I expected a nice sized portion, this was disappointing. Similarly, for dessert I got the donut holes. While they were also delicious - sprinkled w/ cinnamon sugar and served w/ a sweet syrupy wine sauce, the portion was small. At $6 for 5 donut holes, I was disappointed there weren't at least 6! Overall, everything I got was tasty and cooked well, but I wish the portions were about 1.3x bigger. I've been here many times because I live right by this place and it's aaaalways on point. Brunch, lunch, dinner, it's all a win. Way more than basic bar food. Just a few of the highlights and favorites are the ahi tuna nachos, lamb cheesesteak w/ white truffle wiz, and banana choco chip waffle. People also swear by their duck fat friend donut holes! My wife and I found this gem while driving aimlessly around the federal hill and cross street areas. We are glad that we did! As is the case with most neighborhood type of bars/restaurants in this area parking can be challenging. In fact the reason we finally chose Riverside is because there was a parking space right out front. There are plenty of signs that identify the establishment so finding it won't be difficult in the future. As we approached there were dog treats and water for those who have 4 legged friends. We were seated promptly and our server was quick to bring water to our table. All the tables are high top bar style tables and with backless stools. Numerous TVs throughout ensure you'll be able to see the game no matter where you're seated. I had a house margarita that had a grand Marnier float. It was good. My wife and a spicy margarita and enjoyed it. I got gator sauced wings as an entree. The wings were ok. I'm not sure if I'd make a special trip here for the wings but they were good enough. My wife had the lamb cheese steak. AMAZING. It was paired with brussel sprouts and both were really good! I'd definitely make a return trip for those items! Our server was kind, helpful and prompt. The vibe was of a sports bar/taphouse as intended. It was pretty loud but that was expected. The restroom was small but clean. This place is a winner. read more
Loved visiting Riverside for the first time (and definitely wont be my last). The wait staff was super attentive, recommend great beers to the group, and made some awesome food recommendations. I'm a sucker for poke bowls and/or sushi so when I saw the Tuna Nachos on instagram I knew I had to check this place out. Overall the the tuna tasted great and you got a bite with a spicy mayo drizzle*chefs kiss.* The only small complaint that I had about the experience, was I wish that the bread for the crab dip was sliced and you didn't have to pull it apart. I wanted the slices to be toasted to hold the amount of crab dip that I *want* to be able to put on my bread. Small perk but they also have a great puppy water bowl/dog treat station at the front door! read more
I've only been here once but it definitely felt like a solid place - it was packed on a weekday night and everyone seemed to be having a good time, it felt like there were definitely some regulars here which is always a mark of a good bar/restaurant! We got the cheeseburger egg rolls and fat boy fried chicken sandwich which were both good! I'd say Riverside Taphouse is worth a visit for sure, especially if you're in the area! read more
Solid neighborhood bar / restaurant. Has potential to be 5 stars with a few upgrades. Honey old wings are great but we're a little to overdone. Crab cake was great - could have been bigger and less breading but good overall . Def potential for good to great here. Fries are 5/5 though imo read more

Can't stop thinking about the ahi tuna nachos from Riverside that I ate last night! They were loaded with tuna and pineapple, topped with sriracha aioli and wasabi aioli and the chips were made on wontons! We had such a great experience - our waiter was extremely attentive and courteous, bringing us a heat lamp once it cooled down, helping our group that was separated into three large tables, and serving us great food quickly. Other food favorites included the mac n cheese egg rolls, truffle fries, grilled chicken sandwich, and the shrimp sobo roll. read more

Came here for a birthday brunch on a Sunday morning. There was no one in the bar area and we got a high top right away. We ordered 32 Oz orange crushes and an iced coffee. The grapefruit crush was great! My wife's family knew our waitress Amy from the neighborhood so we had great service! Definitely recommend for breakfast, lunch or dinner! read more

Wow! I am soo impressed by this place! While they are fairly new, you would never know by dining here, everything we had was amazing and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Their brunch is awesome, we had a massive plate of lump crab nachos and a LITER size mimosa what's not to love?! We also had some duck fat fried donut holes with red wine syrup...UM. AMAZING. They were very sanitary and had a lot of outdoor seating- they even had the football games playing for outside diners. 100% will be back (probably next week), keep doing what you're doing bc this place is an instant fav read more
The food was great! I've been wanting to try it for awhile after seeing it all over the local Foodie's instagrams. I will say the service wasn't super amazng, I stood there for maybe 1-2 mins before anyone acknowledged me even though a staff member saw me walk in as she was rolling silverware, but it was quick after that as the food was ready. I would choose not to dine in at this time as it did feel fairly crowded, but takeout worked well. For food we shared the ahi tuna nachos, which were my favorite part of the meal and I'd definitely order again! I got the lamb cheesesteak with a side of Mac and cheese, the Mac and cheese was a little dry by the time we ate it so I'd like to try it again in the restaurant when things are normal again to see. The lamb cheesesteak was great, but again the cheese part had hardened a bit. Flavor was different and yummy, plus on a Dough Boy Fresh pretzel. And weirdly their ranch was some of the beat I've had, I need to know what's in there! The rest of their menu looks good so I'll have to try some more things soon! read more

The grilled cheese is a stoning good combination of Brie, caramelized onions, apple slices and pulled pork. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and Electric Lemonade Crush. They were both very good, especially the crush. I loved the vibe, mostly because it was laid back and the music was from my Gen Z era. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a no-fuss, chill evening out. read more
I love when a plan falls through because something else comes through. Riverside Taphouse was amazeballs. No wait time and my party of 4 was seated as soon as we arrived. I normally don't like being seated by the kitchen but I blended the rules a little for this. Seeing the food come out, hot & ready, it just made me more excited to try whatever was on the menu. My starter was the cheeseburger egg rolls. Nice and flaky , well prepared, and tasty. My entree , I tried the Sobo chicken rolls and they were delicious and filling. The star of the show was the duck fat fried donut holes. So so good! I sample my fries plate and everything was good! The Brussels sprouts, the truffle fries, the crab dip, and the crab nachos. My husband and I discovered this place during a day out; we were hungry and in search of a good meal. This place did not disappoint. We were able to walk in and be seated right away. The seating/bar area is cute and comfortable; there are TVs and ample seating. We both ordered cocktails. I had a spicy margarita while my husband had an old fashioned. I did not try his drink, but I thought my drink was good... it just lacked that spicy kick that one is looking for when ordering a spicy drink. For our meals, we ordered the lamb cheesesteak (for me) and wings (for him). The food was delicious! The white truffle cheesesteak is amazing; I was worried about the cheese sauce because I tend to just like traditional cheese on my sandwiches. However, it all worked so well together. I chose brussels as my side option, and they were also very tasty. My husband enjoyed his wings and fries; I believe the gator sauce is their spiciest option so that worked well for him. I can't wait until we are in the area again, so we can patronize this restaurant once more... I highly recommend! read more

Came here for the first time last week to try the white truffle lamb cheesesteak and it was well worth it. We also tried the ahi tuna nachos and they were delish + unique! Vibes were great, options for indoor and outdoor seating with some seasonal beers too. Highly recommend the pumpkin/yam beer in the fall! read more
I love Riverside Taphouse! From the food to the service, everything was amazing! This was my 1st time there, and me and my close Chef friend Eric (Taste The Blessings) wanted to try different variety options on their menu. The Lamb Cheesesteak was definitely the winner! I went here on a game day so you know the atmosphere was great. I previously saw the lamb cheesesteak on a foodie page before so I decided to try it. I was good but I wish it had been a little juicer. I think generally though everyone enjoyed what they ordered. read more

This is a cool nice neighborhood bar. The atmosphere was excellent. Great customer service. Food was good. I had the white truffle lamb cheesesteak and I definitely recommend on getting. It's outstanding. Great place to watch sport games or just to hang out with friends. Definitely will be back. read more
