This place was exceptional! The fries were ah-mazing, the fish was fresh and lightly battered to perfection. Usually we don't eat the slaw, but this poppy seed slaw was fantastic. The grilled cheese wasn't your typical grilled cheese. It was on the most delish sourdough bread, grilled to perfection, Yum! The customer service was phenomenal! The ladies were so friendly and helpful. We waited 30 well worth it mintues. Just happened along this place, we were hungry and wanted a place to make a pit stop, and were greatly pleased with this place. My wife and I split fish taco basket, and were totally satisfied. We have been to this outdoor restaurant several times (undercover as well). It has been excellent each visit. The fish is fresh and not at all greasy, the fries perfect, we add an IPA for a perfect meal. They also sell delicious cookies! We can't go through Nehalem without stopping there. So relaxing sitting in the Adirondack chairs looking out to river and watching all the paddleboarders, kayaks, and birds going up and down the stream. We both had the cod fish tacos. It was super delicious!!!!! the flavors of the fries and the fried fish completed the enjoyable experience. I would recommend this place to anyone who stops through the cute little town. We are from Texas and have been to OR time upon time because of family living here, but had never been to Nehalem before! We absolutely loved it. I've had the legendary Bow Picker fish and chips and I personally think this place is better. Crispy, nicely spiced, not oily, it's nice to have fried fish that has flavor! This is EASILY the best fish and chips I've ever had, and I've eaten a pretty good amount of fish and chips. Everyone in the group agreed. don't be freaked out that this place is in a tiny food truck/trailer behind some shops on the bank of the river. it's clean, the service was great, and i had the best fish tacos of my life there (and i'm from san diego - home of the fish taco)! my husband got fish and chips. we agreed that the fish was perfect - not too fishy, the batter was perfectly light and crispy, and nothing was too greasy. the tacos came with some very yummy aioli, as well as some cabbage and lime on white corn tortillas. the fish and chips cane with perfectly plump and not too well done fries. overall, this place was fantastic! if we are ever back this way, we will stop in again! read more
