Best seafood on the coast! The cart & grounds are noticeably cleaner than average. The chef is very passionate about his product, not to mention easy on the eyes. At times they run out of specialty items at the end of the day, which can be a bummer but good for them! Better get there early. Love this place. read more

One of the best fish and chips that I have had on the Oregon coast. This is a food cart so outdoor seating. Plan accordingly. You order at the counter and the service is quick and fas. We ordered the cod and the shrimp (the halibut had sold out). They both were incredible HOT and so tasty/ The fish batter was PERFECt. It was like, crispy, and fresh. French fries were hot. One word: YES! If you find yourself here around lunch time and are looking for delicious fish and chips, this is the place. Three big pieces of fried halibut, flaky, hot, light but crispy breading. And some fries. Truly delicious. Maybe not the most scenic place in the world, but some picnic tables are scattered around behind the food truck and there is plenty of parking. No covered seating so I was glad the sun was out and we were able to snatch a table and enjoy the fish. read more

Rumors on the coast is that The Sea Baron has the best fish and chips you'll ever eat. I can confirm this rumor is 100 percent true. The Sea Baron is a sea to cart fish experience. I have never had fresher fish and chips. The halibut melted in my mouth. I ordered a half size (3 pieces) and it was plenty. Quintessential Oregon coast! Right down to the food truck location and picnic tables. The menu is tight - curated to offer what they do best - and really lip smacking good. By far the halibut is worth the up charge. We did a side-by-side taste test of the catch of the day fish-n-chips and the halibut. Hands down, halibut all the way! The clam strips - oh my goodness, can you say "two orders please." The service is friendly and quick - although, the lines tend to deepen around 1'ish in the afternoon. The picnic tables and high-top reclaimed wood bar tables make a wonderful afternoon setting. A couple of things to keep in mind - there is no shade/rain coverage. Plan accordingly. Stopped in for some fish and chips, while in line we heard all they had was the cod. Ordered a full order and waited. Then noticed people behind us were getting their orders before us. A few others also had the same problem. We mentioned it and the response was "oh well". I understand how running a small operation can be, but the attitude was very rude and uncaring. Then said "do you want to be back here"? We got our order and it wasn't quite a full 5 piece order, but with the attitude he had we didn't want to ask about the not full 5 piece order. Superb Ling cod with the perfect light batter. Fries were also hot and perfect....they had the lightest of seasonings....i could have eaten a full basket! We split a large order of fish and chips and it was enough. Friendly person running the food truck. A beautiful summer day not too hot or too cold. The cart was really busy on Sunday around 11:30am. Most items were out except for the cod, clam strips and jumbo shrimp baskets. There is limited parking available but plenty of picnic tables to eat at. They are right on the corner of a busy street so it can be difficult to get in and out. The food was great for our family. We had quite a bit left over due. The clam strips were a bit small but the jumbo shrimp and cod was great. They don't have any bags and food is not served in a closed container so if you need to carry out multiple items by yourself, good luck! read more

Rating is for food. Amazing fish. They offer halibut as an up-charge and would suggest you pull the trigger on it. Fish cooked perfectly and batter is light'n crispy. The fries that comes with are standard bagged/battered (still good) This is a good truck with some tables by the road, so be warned and plan accordingly. This is a one trick pony that does its one trick very, very well! read more

Really excellent!! We tried Cod, halibut, and calamari. All three were super tasty. The halibut, which was my order was so meaty. The ratio of batter to fish was like 90% fish and worth every penny. Little the right little spice in the calamari. The french fries are those ones that taste just slightly battered! Perfect! The people were very friendly. Out door standing, uncovered tables, so be ready if it's raining...but it's the Oregon coast so you probably already are! read more

By far the best fish and chips I have had possibly ever. We split an order of the halibut fish and chips. The halibut was perfectly tender, the batter was light and crispy (with absolutely NO weird sogginess between the fish and batter) the fries were crispy and flavorful, and the house made tartar complemented the fish perfectly. The service was prompt and friendly- despite being very busy, the owner greeted us and let us know he would be right with us. Englishman here. Fries are american battered fries but excellent. The fish is bang on. The batter is thin and crispy. Fish is soft and perfectly cooked. Ordered the clam and chips and my husband ordered the halibut and chips. AMAZING!! The best fish and chips we have ever had and we've traveled up and down the West Coast. Fom Vancouver (BC) to San Diego. We stopped by around 10:30 and they were not ready yet. They told us about another 30 minutes which was fine with us. We understood.
