Yeaaah I'll be back ASAP. Came here on a whim after another event downtown and I'm so glad we did. A perfect Minnesota summer evening can be topped off with the ideal ambiance and relaxation at the Four Seasons Riva Terrace. We shared the pan roasted gnocchi with Burrata, Peas, Snap Peas, Spring Onion and Lemon. Wow. Wow wow wow. Flavor galore. Loved the texture and taste. Henry provided lovely service and made the night easy and fun. As soon as you step on to the terrace, you feel like you've been transported to a different city. I'll be recommending this to friends all summer long.

I got a real "see and be seen" vibe from this place. Which is fine if that's what you're into. The drinks and food were fine - definitely not up to the standard of Mara in the same building. Went for drinks on a a Friday night. My friend and I called ahead to see what the availability was and was told there were spots. However when we arrived about 5-10 minutes later, there were only two spots at the bar left. Service was a bit slow, but the staff were kind and accommodating. The drinks were okay - nothing spectacular. We also ended up getting burgers. Also just okay. I'd give this place another chance, but I'm not super excited to return.

Totally perfect. My tall Tanqueray was pleasing. Pan roasted gnocchi so flavorful and bright. Service very friendly and welcoming from Henry and others. My adult daughter and I were peering over the gated pool area next to the Terrace and we were asked by an employee if we would like to view the city from that area. We found that gesture very above and beyond and we were then able to completely take it all in on such a beautiful summer night. Thank you.. we will be back and have already told our friends.

Such a cute spot!! The view is amazing, and the prices aren't unreasonable considering that. The service was also very helpful and attentive, and we didn't at all feel rushed which I sincerely appreciated! I loved my allora spritz cocktail. The truffle fries were also a hit, but we genuinely enjoyed everything we ordered! The 3/$25 apertivo hour deal is a pretty great move with a small group! Will certainly be returning!

This place does not feel like MN - you are immediately transported to paradise! It is the perfect place for dinner or just drinks with friends with the ability to enjoy the outdoors. The service was also amazing! I don't drink alcohol and our server was able to recommend some mocktails for me that wasn't on the menu but fit the vibe of the night! This is the food we ordered with their rating: -Mushroom Arancini- Fantastic! 9/10 -Truffle fries - they are thin and crispy which is perfect for our table! 10/10 -Walleye Sandwich- - 6/10 - the flavor was there but my bread to fish ratio was off and I had a lot of leftover bread because there wasn't enough fish to fit the bread -Smash burger - it's a good burger, but not the best 7.5/10 -Skirt steak "salad" - this was a 4/10 the steak was good, but it was served on a bed of tomatoes and not a bed of leafy greens which doesn't feel disclosed on the menu - this was not how we normally like our salads, so this is for sure a personal rating Pro Tip- We were able to order truffle aioli to add to our side of fries that accompanied our burger and sandwich The Food was good, but overall I'm not running to go back due to their limited menu - I know this place is only open seasonally so the limited menu is understandable, but a larger menu would entice me to come back (soon AND often!). The only other reason I would give this place a 4/5 star rating was because our food took a REALLY long time to come out, and we did not finish eating until around closing time, and felt rushed to leave. I eat slower and our server cleared everyone's plates before mine because I was still eating which made me feel rushed to finish my meal that I waited a really long time for.

    On their own website 5/31/24.

Their website & Instagram posted happy hour Mon-Thurs 4-6pm (which we mentioned!). We came on Thursday and they said no happy hour, it's actually only Mon-Wed. Cocktail was fine, but they were out of the two beers ordered after our first round (on a Thursday at 6pm (?)). Service was honestly unacceptable for a 5 star hotel. Wasn't even busy they were just standing around chatting. Also, the "rooftop" is actually on the fourth floor. Head to the Hewing for a better vibe.

My initial rating is only because I haven't tried the food and only had a drink. I will update once I've tried their food! ATMOSPHERE: A gorgeous location in the four seasons. You have a great view of the skyline and the atmosphere is super cute. SERVICE: The service was middle of the road. Attentive enough but nothing out of the park. DRINKS: I got the bacca, it was a pretty drink but not strong. It was majority ice and just pretty okay. PRICE: as you can see their HH is not a true happy hour menu, the prices are almost full price still.

Beautiful space with a retro Miami vibe. The drinks were fun and refreshing. The food is mainly small plates and fairly limited. Nice wait staff who are attentive. We have been a few times for the ambiance alone!

Good not great. That sums up my two experiences at Riva Terrace. The good is largely driven by the breathtaking views and superior service delivered by the staff. However, the food is okay. That's it. Okay. I've had the burger, a few apps, and the skirt steak. It's good enough to casually check out again but definitely not good enough to make it into my regular rotation. Hopefully, over time the kitchen and culinary director can work through the kinks. Also, if you like your burger and steak with any pink at all, err on the side of "rare" vs. medium.

Mushroom Arancini, a kiss of mezcal and a Naked Ballerina!
    Robb D.

Idk why this place doesn't have a higher rating?! The menu is simple the drinks are great and the ambience is a relaxing as it gets!

Street parking available on hip and trendy Washington Ave! They also have a decently priced valet for diners not looking to search nearby for parking! The interior is moody and hip with dim lighting, exposed brick, and a social energy. It's always busy without feeling stuffy or crowded. The service is top notch...fresh silverware and plates with every course, consistently filled water, servers that are around but not overbearing, and courses that come out with exquisite timing! We enjoyed an appetizer, a few bruschettas, and a few pastas on our most recent visit. Arancini were the perfect start: crispy, creamy, and a little spice from the sauce! Chicken Liver Mousse Bruschetta was the weak point in the meal as it just seemed to be lacking a component that balanced the richness of the mousse. The Crispy Pork Shoulder and Carrot Bruschetta was VERY salty, but I kinda enjoyed how it would make my mouth water, quenched by the creamy carrot puree. The Gnocchi are little pillows of heaven, and the orange sauce is such a pleasant surprise. The real star for me was the Mushroom Agnolotti: little pillows of creamy, mushroomy goodness topped with a plethora of additional mushrooms. Chef's kiss. Can't wait to come back again and again!

Note, they do NOT take reservations so it's first come, first serve. Our original wait time was around 1 hour but it ended up only being 35 minutes. Parking is quite limited but due to eating later in the evening, we were able to get a parking spot in their lot. Broaders' has both patio and indoor seating. Being the middle of winter, we sat inside. It's not an overly large restaurant so be prepared to wait during busier meal times (like dinner on the weekends). Our waitress was very nice, answered our questions, and helped us select the perfect wine. Shortly after ordering our wine, they brought out a complimentary bread basket which was delicious! We asked for butter and more of the foccaccia because it was SO good. For our mains, we got the Greek Salad, Ravioli Di Zucca, and Spaghetti Con Polpette. WOW! I don't have a single complaint. The greek salad was flavorful with all the mixed vegetables and dressed perfectly. The Ravioli Di Zucca was buttery and delicious and the Spaghetti Con Polpette was probably the best spaghetti and meatballs we've ever had. Somehow we had room for dessert and opted for the Tiramisu. It was good, not great. I didn't love that it was cut in the shape of a pie vs. a square -- Something about that threw me off. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend going to Broaders' Pasta Bar! You won't regret it!

Our server was incredibly kind, accommodating, and full of great recommendations. They were easily one of the best parts of the meal. The appetizers were mostly the highlight. The spinach and bacon dip was really good, though the bacon had an almost hot dog-like flavor that was a little unexpected. The fried Brie was delicious. Super soft, rich, and packed with flavor. It is definitely a heavy dish, though, and the saltiness starts to catch up with you after a few bites. The pasta chips were a miss. They tasted stale and were so hard that they were honestly a little painful to eat. The focaccia was also underwhelming. It was literally just bread and did not bring much flavor to the table. For my main, I had the chicken Parmesan. It was perfectly fine, but very basic. Exactly what you would expect and not much more. It was a little bland and could have used more seasoning to make it stand out. Overall, Eato had some bright spots, especially the service and a couple of the appetizers, but the uneven atmosphere and mostly average food kept it at a solid three stars.

Travail purchased this restaurant and reopened last year. Here are my ratings of each item that our group ordered. Cocktails: Seasonal Spritz - 8.5 - so beautifully sharp and carbonated, reminded me a little of sangria Vilo - 6.8 - very unique flavor cocktail. I'm not a grapefruit lover and found this to be little bitter. They were out of the Mule's Mistress which is the cocktail I wanted to try. Food: Bread - 8.8/10 - Butter was very good and creamy, pretty standard bread but super fresh and I kept coming back for more. Roman Meatballs - 9.3-10 - This was the best thing I ate all night. Perfectly cooked, amazing pomodoro sauce. We were talking about how if we came back we'd get spaghetti with these meatballs. Apple + Root Salad - 9.1/10 - Probably the surprise of the night. Everyone loved this salad and we ordered two. The lemon vinaigrette dressing, strips of apple were all so refreshing and great flavor. 720 Day Prosciutto Burrata - 7.7/10 - The burrata didn't have the typical soft, creamy texture I'm used to, but good flavor along with decent grilled bread. I'm not a prosciutto fan usually but the aging did make this better and less salty. Mostly rating on behalf of the burrata. Rigatoni - 8.0 - This tasted good with vodka sauce and sausage, however I found the noodle to be a little floppy and would have preferred more al dente. Came in expecting this to be my favorite. Calabrian Cauliflower - 7.0 - Pretty good, a little spicy, maybe overdone with the sauce. Heirloom Potatoes - 5.0 - This was the most unusual experience of the night. How could anything go wrong with a potato? Well, the "Nduja aioli" ruined the dish for me. Maybe some kind of spice that didn't agree with my palette but others didn't mind it so take that as you will. Again, could have used less suace. Mushroom Cappelletti - 8.5 - Another surprise of the night is that this was my favorite of the pastas we tried. Very creamy, white sauce. Mushrooms are not typically one of my go-to's but the whiskey age shoyu, creme fraiche really elevated this dish. Couldn't eat a whole plate because of how rich it was but high marks. Bucatini - 7.9 - Enjoyed the nice chewy texture of the pasta, otherwise solid, nothing particularly noteworthy. Service was good, very attentive to allergy considerations in our group. No complimentary dessert for birthday :P Good atmosphere, not too crowded or loud. Friendly staff all around. The reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is because the pasta doesn't blow me away which I would think would be the star as an Italian restaurant. I'm using Bar La Grassa as the standard for pasta which is may be a high bar. I'd still recommend visiting!

When my friend and I walked in, we came into a fairly spacious dimly lit space with loads of people inside. We were immediately informed that there would be over 1.5hr wait for a walk-in table. We were given the option to wait for bar seating as it would probably be quicker - and surely, it was. We did have to wait quite a bit, but it was a tolerable amount of time and definitely less than what it would have taken for an actual table. My friend and I decided to share 2 pizza pies as we wanted to get a taste of two different flavors, so we eventually settled on Korean BBQ & Perfect Pickle Pie. KOREAN BBQ As it was created by a Korean chef, it definitely had true authentic Korean flavors. As a Korean myself, I was very familiar with this soy vinaigrette and have tried this on many salad before - so, it was hitting home for me. Also, you can't go wrong with the bulgogi/beef short ribs known to all those who had Korean BBQ before. The combination of the sauces that they use for this pizza is definitely very rich, full of umami. I personally enjoyed it. PERFECT PICKLE PIE This pie was a totally different flavor to the Korean BBQ. It's less rich and maybe can be overpowered or considered more bland compared to other pizza flavors. But when tried together with the BBQ, it balances out the richness of the BBQ with the more subtle/less umami flavors. This pie gives more of a tangy/sour taste that pickles provide and more of a crunch due to the chips that are added on top. The dill is present, but not overpowering. It's a nice low-key kind of taste that people who like pickles will enjoy. Overall, the flavors were very rich in every pizza pie that we had that our mouths were bursting with flavor. It was definitely the most unique pizza toppings that I've had and can see why it's so highly regarded. I can tell that they really are meticulous with their every process and that their pizza guy by the wood fire oven is expertise in what he does. My friend and I walked out quite satisfied and I was honestly more full than I expected.
