Beautiful store and friendly welcome, but pharmacy needs much improvement. First time I tried this pharmacy, they did not carry what I needed, so went back to Target pharmacy. Today I stood waiting at the pharmacy for 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging me. I was the only one waiting and there were many employees behind the counter. Will never go back! My daughter is sick and my wife took her to the doctor who prescribed her medicine. My wife took my very sick very cranky toddler to get her medicine at rite aid. The pharmacist told her it would be about 20 min. My wife left and then came back 30 min later to have them explain that they didn't have my daughters insurance info even tho this is where we always get her medicine. They told my wife another 20 min so my wife left to take my daughter home. She asked me to swing by after work and pick it up. So now they've had more than an hour and a half to fill this prescription. I get here and now I'm being told another 20 min because they said the doctor ordered the wrong thing and they needed to call to verify it. So all in all almost 2 hours to fill a prescription.... I've been to plenty of pharmacies that do it much better. I don't understand why this place can't figure it out, or maybe the supervisor has no control there. read more

These five stars are for the customer service I've consistently from Alan, a Rite-Aid employee who is definitely an asset to the store. I am a single parent working full time along with sole custody of my two-year-old daughter and we live within walking distance. I have dragged myself into this store barely functional looking all kinds of crazy from a exhausting day or with a tired toddler ready to throw a tantrum at any random moment. Every time Alan has helped us (and I purposely include my daughter) he's been extremely kind, acknowledges how exhausting this phase can be as a fellow parent and makes my shopping experience a bit easier without me having to ask. I always walk out of the store feeling a bit more uplifted thanks to his efforts so I wanted to publicly acknowledge my daughter and I both appreciate his excellent customer service. read more

Terrible customer service. Usually I'm not one to complain but the cashier was jus plain rude. I bought an item that had a big bright yellow sign saying it was 6.99. Got to the register and it rang up as 7.99. Now I it was only a dollar and I would've let it go but I wanted to make point because she insisted it was not on sale. She told me 4 times "no" it is 7.99. Now I used to work in retail management and the customer isn't always right but treat them like they are. I had to walk back to get the sale tag and show her the price and wait in line again and still did not get a apology. Did not speak to the mgr. Cuz I would not want anyone to get in trouble but if it happens again I will speak to him/her. Hopefully he reads this and re trains certain employees read more

No use in doing automated telephone orders for prescription refills, I show up when it should be ready, and they haven't filled it, and tell me to wait 15 minutes. They always mess up my prescription lately, might be switching to Sams Club Pharmacy. read more

Ok, I only come here for the ice cream. There, I said it. Seriously, it's the best deal. I love the malted crunch and my kids love the medieval madness. Ask for a double scoop in a cup with a cone on top. They will scoop ginormous portions for you. Nice and friendly people there too. read more

I go there to get a money order and girl tells me they don't do them. I told her I come in every month to get one to pay my storage. She calls the manager and she tells me that this location never has been set up to do them. I told her I come in every month to get one and rudely tells me they've never done them at this location. I moved from Gardena to Los Alamitos and had to transfer my prescriptions. I got on the phone with 'Kelly' at the pharmacy. She asked for my phone # and was able to get my prescriptions transferred in a flash..Kelly was very friendly and helpful. This request couldn't have gone smoother..It was a great experience. This has been one of the best pharmacy experiences I've had so far. The pharmacists and techs are always helpful, attentive and thorough. They just relocated to a location down the street, and the store is huge! But the staff are still very kind and helpful. And now they have the ice cream stand in the store! read more

I am visiting from Northern California and went there on Saturday, 8-23-14 to get some over-the-counter medication for my 91 year old mother who lives nearby. It was about 6 :30 P.M. I looked along the rows of medications for about 15 minutes and finally located 2 employees stocking shelves and asked them about the medication I was searching for. Both told me they had heard of it but that the Pharmacist had left at 6:00 and they could not help me. I was astonished, needless to say! I own a small winery in Napa Valley and if myself or my employees ever responded to a customer in that way, I guarantee I would not have a business for long. read more

I've been coming here since it opened and I've kept coming back only because it's close to my house. Unlike the CVS store across the street, there is a definite lack of training for the employees of this Rite Aid. Today, battling a cold, I went in to pick up some items. I took my items to be rung up and I see that my cashier is not putting the items in a bag. He asks after the transaction is done if I want to take the cart or a bag. I said: a bag. He says well, that's 10 cents. I said I wasn't going to swipe my card again and he just shrugs. As I'm taking my items I suggested he'd might want to mention the bag cost before finishing the transaction. His response: "Well, it's the law in California." Great training Rite Aid. Every other business reminds you prior to the transaction; sometimes if they forget to mention it they waive the fee. Not this Rite Aid! With each purchase you may receive a lesson in civics. So, this is it for me. I gave them several tries and frankly there is no reason for me to come back. Their inventory is lacking, their customer service is non-existent and frankly the prices are nothing to write home about. I'd rather drive a little farther and have a great experience than come here and get attitude. read more

Sent my daughter to Rite Aid Seal Beach to get me an ice cream last night at 9:42 p.m. She was met by a nice young man mopping the floor. After waiting five minutes a rude female cashier in her mid-40's finally told my daughter and her friend that the ice cream was closed. All bucket of ice cream were still wide open. They inquired as to when it would re-open and were told it was just closed. Afrter continuing to wait a few more minutes, the lady continues helping other customers and finally slaps a paper towel on the window to the ice cream counter that just says "closed." She gave dirty looks and was outright mean to the girls. When she finally walked away from her more important customers, the nice you man cashier next to her snuck over and asked the girls what they wanted and finally did the job she wouldn't do. Can somebody please not only teach her some customer service, but also som manners. Young ladies are customers too, and should be treated like a customer. It seems a man leaving the store as they entered had no problem purchasing an ice cream right before they got there. read more

I came in and I was so surprised at what awesome products they had. A lot of cool brands that one don't expect. I was going on a last minute trip and needed some traveling essentials and I dread going to a bunch a places, but they had everything I needed all in one place! Not to mention a bunch of deals and sales. This will definitely be my go to spot, especially when I don't feel like getting lost and distracted from other retail stores. AMAZING STORE!! I'm very surprised to see crappy reviews on here about this store. I went today and it is GORGEOUS! everyone in the pharmacy was super helpful and very very nice from start to finish. The customer service was much appreciated considering I was so sick. Every aisle is loaded with yellow sale tags, so many great savings in every area! The beer was about as cheap as Walmart or Costco. They have ORGANIC MILK, tons of snacks, camping gear, baby products, makeup, even some clothes.. They even sell OPI nail polish- that's huge for a pharmacy store. I live in the area and I cannot believe I have not been coming to this location more often. BEST RITE-AID EVER!! This will definitely be my new go-to store! read more

I would like to say that this Rite Aid really surprised me on how great the customer service is. The store looked great and I was having trouble locating some items. The manager Jose was so helpful. He did not send someone else to help me, he took the time to show me where to find my items. When leaving, the line went fast and it made my morning so much better. this will be my go to place when I need to get in and out with great service! read more

This is by far the best Rite Aid I have ever been in before. Everytime I walk in I am greeted by several different people with a "Welcome to Rite Aid". So nice, lots of items to choose from, easy in and out. Check it out, you will be amazed...you won't even know you were inside a Rite Aid. And of course the ice cream is the best!! read more

Best pharmacy ever, plus the ice cream is always a fun treat. They always have my prescriptions on time and friendly service.

The staff is friendly, but I have had a couple of issues with the pharmacy. Not having prescriptions done, pharm failing to call me to let me know of issues, pharm not in on time. It is close to home in the heart of Los Al though, so I continue to go back. Probably not a good place if you have a lot of meds to fill, otherwise it is ok. read more
