As someone living with a chronic disease, there is nothing worst than dealing with pharmacies after a medical episode. This pharmacy, especially Min, have been amazing to me. On multiple occasions they have spent serious time dealing with my insurance and doctors to provide me with extremely necessary medications. They have done it again today. They went above and beyond after my latest surgery to make sure I had the medicines I needed to truly heal in a humane way. Thank God for pharmacists like Min and pharmacies like this location. This Rite Aid has a gem of a Pharmacist in Kelly Bond. She helped me out in a pinch on a Sunday morning. My 90 year old dad was in the hospital and in order to be allowed in to assist him, I needed a negative antigen Covid test that was witnessed and signed by a pharmacist. No other pharmacies in the area around the hospital offered this service on a Sunday morning until I spoke to Ms. Bond. She was kind, compassionate, efficient and accommodating. I can not thank her enough for her help during a time of great stress and anxiety. I was able to advocate for my father give him what he deserves because of Kelly Bond!!! He rudely responded," for future reference, you will need to pay up front first. We don't have any staff up here." First off, we don't frequent this location enough to know whether or not they're understaffed. Second, from our past visits, we've always walked straight to the ice cream area and patiently waited for someone to help us. I visited the Clifton Heights, Pa Riteaid last Friday with my 2 adult sons to get our booster shots at 9:30am. The Pharmacist who stood about 4 ft away asked, can I help you. I said we are here for our boosters. She said make an appt, 2:00-3:00pm. I said I looked 2 weeks ago on the website and Riteaid said no appt necessary. Further, we three all had health issues and had our paperwork there and our Covid cards. I am a senior without transportation, it does not take very long so could she do it this time. She said, "how do you know I'm not busy?" I asked if she could call Yeadon Riteaid to see if they could help us, she said no. I asked to speak to the Manager at the front. He called her on the phone and he told me she would be able to get us our boosters in l5 minutes if I could wait. Do you think I was going to let Ms Personality give me a vaccine? Normally I receive great customer service at this location but on 6/15 when I went in I needed some help finding some items. When I found an associate and asked for her help she looked at me and rolled her eyes then walked away. Luckily I was able to find what I needed so I got in line to pay. It was a really long line and we could all hear the one cashier paging for help and when finally someone showed up it was the same girl that wouldn't help me. This girl has the rudest attitude to her own associates and kept talking down to the cashier and the customers I really hope that she doesn't have some position of power since she was belittling everybody around her. I went online to learn about the COVID booster shot. The rite aid had me answer a bunch of questions and i was delighted to be given a confirmed appointment date. So I drove to rite aid with the insurance, shot card, Medicare card and drivers license. I was ready. When I went to the. Pharmacy I was told that I was ineligible for the shot. I asked after all their web page stuff, why didn't they refuse me and save me my time and effort, I get my prescriptions filled there but am noticing that it is slipping With longer waits, under staffed, and staff turnover. WOW!!! Not in a good way. Customer service was not at it's finest today. We strolled in to get some ice cream, as we tend to do from time to time. We were slightly greeted by the first cashier , who was helping another customer but took time to say hello. As we walked past the registers we said hello to one of the managers ( a female, hispanic / latina ) and politely asked her to please call someone over to the ice cream section. She responded in a rude manner , " someone's already there". Not a "hello" or a " how are you?" just a cold dismissive remark. Hardly the standard that should be expected in Seal Beach. My work takes me often to Los Angeles county and this is the level of service I have come to expect over there, but not here. Then to make matters more unpleasant, the person ( because gentleman is a term unbecoming this person) over at the ice cream section has his back turned to us as he is washing something down. Naturally, and as a courtesy we wait patiently. He does not acknowledge us at all. after a while he seems perturbed that we are there and walks over to put gloves on to serve us. again, not a "hello" or a courteous greeting. Only a gruff " how can i help you?". Might as well have said " Why are you bothering me?". My wife and i placed our order. we thanked him when he handed us our ice cream, and received no reply. At no time did he even make eye contact. he simply rang up the order, and walked away barking at the next customer. I even had to take the receipt off the register myself. Even though we were disappointed with the service, as we walked out I looked over to the manger and said ' Thank you" to which, under her voice and without bothering to make eye contact, she muttered , under her breath, " enjoy your day" but in a tone that made me feel that she was being forced to do it. Now, I have worked in and trained others in Customer Service for decades. You don;t treat people like this. Especially customer bringing you their business. I had to say something because again, this is Seal Beach, not the ghetto. People deserve to be treated in a better way. I don't mean treated like kings and queens, but at least with the decorum and courtesy that we have come to expect living in this wonderful neighborhood. read more

This location is a brand new Rite Aid. I am amazed at how big and clean it is. I come here quite often since I work nearby. The service here is always above and beyond from the greetings when you walk in to your check out. There is always plenty of staff around if you have any questions or need help finding anything. I also pick up my prescriptions here at the pharmacy and I have always had a good experience. The pharmacist has always been very knowledgeable and friendly. If I could give no stars I would. This is a post for the pharmacist that goes by the name of Shalesh Patel. I'm not sure how to spell first name. But when I asked for his name the pharmacy tech Reza wouldn't give his first name. So I had to get a glance at the name tag from a little distance. First off I would like to say that Thursday was not the first negative experience I have had at this location with the pharmacy techs. Most of them have attitudes. But Thursday night was a whole new level of rude and disrespectful behavior especially by the pharmacist Shalesh Patel. He is the older Indian gentleman with glasses and has an extremely thick accent. My husband went into the pharmacy Thursday night to pick up a prescription for me. I'm pregnant with twins and have a badly pinched nerve that keeps me from walking. We were there to pick up the pain med. we had a paper script to drop off. When my husband spoke with Mr. Patel he immediately told my husband he couldn't help him because he needed my ID which is perfectly fine because that is protocol we are used to. However he gave a lot of attitude almost as if my husband were trying to get the pain killers illegally. So my husband walks back to the car where I'am because I cannot walk. I gave him my ID and assumed things would be fine from there. Boy was I wrong. While my husband was in the pharmacy Mr. Patel got worked up and hostel because my husband couldn't understand why he still wasn't able to be given my medicine. When he did what mr Patel asked for which was my ID that matched the script name. My husband asked a few questions because the dr at the hospital left some things out and mr. Patel was speaking very rudely to my husband. As if he was being a fake script. He argued about some missing numbers on the script from the dr. However my husband and I are not savvy in the medical world and were given the script at the hospital but were being treated like criminals. All the while I'm suffering in pain in car not able to do anything because again I can't walk into the pharmacy something my husband repeatedly told me Patel. Finally my husband got worked up and raised his voice and used one explicit word. Because mr patkenrefused to fill the script or even call at that time to see if the script was valid. ( my Ob dr. Name was written on the front of the paper script so he could call) the entire transaction mr Patel was rude and extremely condescending. As if my husband is supposed to know that the script needed some extra info such as dr ID which is something the hospital left out and weren't aware of the protocol for this. However all he had to do was call the number on the front. Anyway after my husband got heated rightfully so he was dealing with this issue for about 20 minutes mr Patel refused to help because my husband was worked up. I then had to get into the drivers seat drive while under the influence of a pain killer from hospital and couldn't use my leg. To speak to them because the refused to help my husband. There was a younger woman working and she spoke to me so rudely when I drove up to the drive through window. Cut me off when I tried to explain the situation. I was helped by Reza the rest of the time. I dropped the script even though I was told not to drive, this was the only way they would help us. We came back 40 mins later to pick up the script. Mr. Patel came fo the window to not even tell me how to take the pain medication but to reprimand me about how my husband was upset and how we can't speak to people that way. I couldn't even believe it. First off you can hardly understand the man because of how thick his accent is and I tried to be kind despite the extreme pain I was in and say I think it's been a long night we've been at the hospital. But no he continued further by being extremely accusatory about the script I was given. I'm 8 months along I'm huge and we had stated to them what kind of pain and disability I was experiencing. It was by far the worst customer service I have ever received. How can a pharmacist think he has the right to tell me and my husband how we should speak to people when he doesn't even know how to conduct himself in a professional manner. I should add that this is not the first time this man has helped me. I've been coming to this location for a while and he is rude every single time. This was my last straw of dealing with someone like that. Not only was he rude to my husband but he had the gall to speak to me so rudely when I hadn't even been a part of my husband and his transaction. And not to mention anyone else we dealt with was a complete jerk as if they all had been talking about it together. I think this Rite Aid needs to look deeply into who they are hiring to deal with their customer. They forced me to deal with an issue in a completely unsafe manner. I was not able to walk, I wasn't supposed to be driving. I had to do both. read more

She casually told me that the medication would cost me about 200 times the usual price, and when I tried to reason with her about my insurance, which should pay almost the entire amount, this person showed me no humanity at all. This review is for the pharmacy at this location. What a disappointment. I have been using this pharmacy since July and have seen ZERO improvement. I'm about ready to go anywhere but here for my prescriptions. I enjoy the online renewal feature, but my prescription has NEVER been ready when it is supposed to be. Today when I arrived at 4:30pm or so, there was a huge line both in the drive thru and inside. A man was complaining about the "nasty" demeanor of one of the pharmacists when I walked up. After waiting in line for a while, I gave the staff my name and she couldn't find my prescription. I had arranged for it to be picked up by 11:00am and here I am 5 hours later and it still isn't ready. This is a pretty regular occurrence at this location and I dread having to pick up my medicine. The staff there seem totally miserable and highly unorganized. No one acknowledges you when you arrive and I've been standing there waiting for almost ten minutes before someone noticed me. Management, PLEASE help your pharmacy out with customer service and efficiency!! read more

Although I do have a funny story... during Christmas the new manager thought I as paying with a stolen cc and told the lady working "make sure to check her id" after she called for her on the loud speaker hahahah!
