I visited this Bartell's while in the area and this being my first time at this location, it was easy to navigate. I came here to get some toiletries and signs were clearly displayed in the store, showing me which aisle I needed to get to. I was in the store in less than 10 minutes, making it an easy and efficient shopping experience. On an afternoon on a weekday there weren't many customers, so there was no line to check out. Parking is a breeze with plenty of parking spots in the shared lot of this business strip. I'm a fan of Bartell's. Unlike other neighborhood drug stores Bartell's actually feels like it's a part of your neighborhood with its local products. Gotta love the Seahawks swag, Theo and Seattle Chocolates products, and even Funko pops! I choose Bartell's over Walgreens, CVS, Rite Aid, etc...every time!

Normal aisles, has a lot of items at a normal store. Most of the time it's packed where the pharmacy is, and only one cashier is at the front so it might take time if you're there during a rush. We had the opportunity to stop into the Redmond location on a Tuesday night, and found everything we were looking for. Founded in 1922, Fred Meyer became a part of Kroger in 1998, and has provided the superstore concept for a lot longer than either Walmart (1988) or Target (1995). It's very large, with this location even having an upstairs marked as Apparel (though it was closed off...wondering if it closes after a certain hour). The bank inside is Chase, and there is a Starbucks outlet. It has both an indoor and outdoor garden center (with its own entrance and super bored cashier). Because it is owned by Kroger, the grocery section has all the sales and product that a Kroger or Ralphs would have. Even though it has a different mobile app than its siblings, it uses the same login for easier cross connectivity. There are quite a few digital coupons that save a significant amount of money, so it is definitely worth getting and using.

First of all, it's impossible to get a hold of this pharmacy. They never answer the phone and it always goes to voicemail. You have to leave your number on the voicemail and wait for a call back. Wait times I came on a Friday right before the lunch rush around 11am and there were 2 people in front of me. I thought the line would move quickly but they only had 1 kiosk open out of 3 and the guy at the kiosk was someone in training. After about half an hour, I finally got to the kiosk. I had 4 prescriptions to pick up and the pharmacy counter looked like a zoo. He couldn't find the meds and was looking one by one in different baskets... it was like a kid on an Easter hunt. He even had the audacity to say "wow these things are hard to find." Idk why cvs would put all my 4 meds in different baskets... why can't it go under the patients name? Wait 45 min, the whole time says 3 callers are ahead. Had to hang up and move on. 3) Call the next day. Wait over 40 min, down to one caller ahead, call cuts out - was not a signal issue on my end. I have empathy for the underresourced staff, but this is simply not a functional experience. If you need to do anything over the phone, it doesn't have to be like this - choose somewhere else. For what it's worth, I called CVS to transfer. You're able to leave a voicemail, got a call back within 5 min, and they are going to transfer and fill the prescription the same day. When we reached the produce section, there was very little produce available (no bananas at all, very sparse selection) and what was there did not look well maintained. There were spills on the floor that had not been cleaned up, which made the area feel messy and neglected. I understand that inventory issues can happen, so that part alone would not have bothered me too much. Checkout was where things really fell apart. We waited a very long time in line (all the lines were back into the aisles), and when we were finally helped, the cashier, a very sweet older gentleman who clearly seemed to be having a rough day, rang up our groceries only for the payment keypad to freeze and stop working. He became flustered, and we were moved to another register. It was uncomfortable to watch him try to get help from a manager who appeared annoyed rather than supportive. Overall, the store felt unorganized and dirty, and the whole experience was stressful. I genuinely feel bad for the employees, as it did not seem like they were being set up for success. Therefore this location is not receiving any more merchandise deliveries until August 25. On that day, CVS will be moving in to set up shop at their Crossroads location. - horrible service and high vaccine price -…read more We went to bartell drugs for our tdap vaccines. While it is covered 100% by my insurance, they charged us $30 and $40 copay, respectively. I called my insurance and bartell back and forth, and they kept saying it's not their responsibility. It's super annoying, so I had my insurance call bartell and they created a ticket to look into it. A couple days later, I called bartell and they told me it's just how much my insurance charges me for copay. It makes absolutely no sense because my insurance is telling me I don't have to pay anything. My insurance also told me they are double charging if the insurance is paying for the vaccine and I need to pay for copay. I'm extremely uncomfortable because bartell doesn't even update and asks me to follow up with them. I have to pay them a visit tomorrow again. This is insane, why would a drug store scam me from vaccines when insurance is paying for it 100%.... I have never paid anything for vaccines in the United States because preventives should be covered 100%. Don't come here for your vaccines.. go to Walgreens or Walmart instead. [Update 04/15/25] The pharmacy manager called and told me that the vaccine costs $105, so they have to charge me or else they lose money. Guess what? The retail price of the vaccine is $84.99 and with Good Rx it's only $54.18. I'm not sure why they get the vaccine at a higher price or maybe they are actually trying to make money on vaccines, but I'm never gonna get any vaccines from this place again. It's also weird that they told my insurance company the copay is an administrative fee but told me otherwise. The pharmacy manager, duke, told me it's gonna be the same everywhere else. Guess what? My insurance told me that has never happened in the past. Unless my insurance is lying, I highly doubt Duke knows what she's talking about and she probably never checked other drug stores beforehand. It's insane how people just assume things and tell you the wrong information.. Be aware!
