- horrible service and high vaccine price - We went to bartell drugs for our tdap vaccines. While it is covered 100% by my insurance, they charged us $30 and $40 copay, respectively. I called my insurance and bartell back and forth, and they kept saying it's not their responsibility. It's super annoying, so I had my insurance call bartell and they created a ticket to look into it. A couple days later, I called bartell and they told me it's just how much my insurance charges me for copay. It makes absolutely no sense because my insurance is telling me I don't have to pay anything. My insurance also told me they are double charging if the insurance is paying for the vaccine and I need to pay for copay. I'm extremely uncomfortable because bartell doesn't even update and asks me to follow up with them. I have to pay them a visit tomorrow again. This is insane, why would a drug store scam me from vaccines when insurance is paying for it 100%.... I have never paid anything for vaccines in the United States because preventives should be covered 100%. Don't come here for your vaccines.. go to Walgreens or Walmart instead. [Update 04/15/25] The pharmacy manager called and told me that the vaccine costs $105, so they have to charge me or else they lose money. Guess what? The retail price of the vaccine is $84.99 and with Good Rx it's only $54.18. I'm not sure why they get the vaccine at a higher price or maybe they are actually trying to make money on vaccines, but I'm never gonna get any vaccines from this place again. It's also weird that they told my insurance company the copay is an administrative fee but told me otherwise. The pharmacy manager, duke, told me it's gonna be the same everywhere else. Guess what? My insurance told me that has never happened in the past. Unless my insurance is lying, I highly doubt Duke knows what she's talking about and she probably never checked other drug stores beforehand. UPDATE: JULY 19, 2025: This is mainly a shout out to their friendly and helpful employee "Nolan," re: assisting me with their restroom. Therefore I'm bumping up my rating of this store from three stars to four stars. When I told him the place is starting to look like stores in Soviet Russia, he informed me that their holding company, Rite Aid, is going out of business. Therefore this location is not receiving any more merchandise deliveries until August 25. On that day, CVS will be moving in to set up shop at their Crossroads location. So if CVS Incorporated is reading this, give Nolan a raise! read more

I am adding yet another review of the Marysville Bartell's. Sadly, this used to be the best drugstore in Marysville and probably all of Snohomish County. Wonderful staff, eager to please everyone who came in. I went in tonight to pick-up my order of pen needles (I take long lasting insulin) and even though the Rx was phoned in by the physician, the lead druggist decided not to fill it because the directions didn't say how many to use at a time. . . . . . . . . I said you're joking and he looked at me and said "you'll have to call your doctor and have him phone it in again". Of course, he neither called the doctor's office to check on the prescription and no one called me to tell me the problem, so the prescription sat there for a week while I couldn't take my insulin. I had to order a "same day" delivery from an Amazing company who had no difficulty sending it without any Rx. read more

I had a very simple, brief question - I was considering getting my prescriptions here but after waiting 20 min in the drive through, finally getting past the 1 car in front of me and waiting another 8 min for anyone to even acknowledge that I was there... someone thrust a pad, pen and paper into the box - and that's it. I'm not sure what I am supposed to do with that? I'm not going to entrust my healthcare needs to a brand that communicates through throwing a pad at me and zero opportunity to communicate. From reading the comments here maybe this location should shut down their pharmacy business or put someone in charge of running their pharmacy that will actually take a minute to speak with a potential customer. read more

Bartell Drugs - This is customer service - Drugstores Near Me - Bellevue, Washington

Prior to the buy out from CVS Bartell Drugs filled some prescriptions my mail order pharmacy couldn't and they filled "urgent" ones that were needed short term or until they could move to mail order (Amazon Pillpack). The customer service was great, if you let them know you needed it that day it was usually ready in a 1/2 hour or close to it and you could reach someone on the phone without being put on hold right away. (On hold long enough to memorize their music...) Now, even ER prescriptions for drugs that are needed now (or at least within a reasonable time like 2 hours) don't get filled promptly without calling. By promptly I've called the following morning when it was sent at say 3PM the day before and they hadn't started yet. Due to my needs I've got a complex mix of meds and central line management stuff and I'm floored that in some cases drugs can be shipped faster than Bartell's now gets them filled. On the positive side, one of their great tech's that's been there for years is still with them despite the turnover and it's still a good store but I shouldn't have to make 2-5 calls on one prescription. In this case I've made a total of nine calls now to the sending pharmacy that is trying to reach Bartell's just to transfer a prescription and that's nuts. (Last call to both was 8:55 PM and they confirmed they'd rushed the transfer. I called Bartell's two hours before that the last time an even gave them the sending pharmacy's transfer department direct number to fix the issue to which the reply was "well, I guess I could try to call". THis is a bridge supply of a drug that had to be emergency ordered as the new drug is delayed from the IV pharmacy due to shipping issues so I have to continue a stop gap med that is readily available. What sucks is if this isn't done I have to go back to an ED to get a cary overdose this morning. It's inexcusable that the customer service has gone so far down the roof. If CVS wanted to save money perhaps gutting the pharmacy staff and closing for lunch (when many of us might like to pick up our stuff) isn't going to help as I've moved every single prescription I can to Amazon and the speciality infusion pharmacy so I can stop dealing with this. Kind of sad for the business as I still locally filled drugs worth over $1,500 a month. read more

We sent in a prescription for our newborn, and got a text immediately saying that Bartells didn't have it in stock but an order was placed. Wanting to know how long of a wait we were looking at, I called the pharmacy for an update. After an interminable wait, someone picks up, and looks up my order. She brusquely then tells me that they didn't get the medicine in stock, that they won't know when they'll get it in, and that I should call other pharmacies in the area to see if they have it in stock, and then to call Bartells back for a transfer. Why couldn't Bartells place the order like the first text said it would? Why couldn't Bartells look up other pharmacies in their network for stock of the medicine? Surely, one of their many stores must carry it? There was zero effort to try to help in procuring this medicine from Bartells. I would think that ordering medicine that they don't have in stock would be the bare minimum of a functioning pharmacy, and yet this branch can't even do that much. ‍ read more

No matter when or how I order refills it's not an expected response. I may get a text and be able to have it delivered. Or not. The staff says when it is ready I will get a call, but no one has ever called me so I don't know why his is a response that comes out of their mouths. When I bring these issues up the staff has no explanation but looks at me blankly. I want to like this store. It's clean. It has a drive through and I like their products. But the PHARMACY is dismal. All I came in for was for something cool to drink, it was very hot & I had errands to run. I didn't really get a sense of friendliness from the cashier but that's fine . It's the Pacific Northwest , there's a staffing shortage, wished I could do something about that. Maybe consider self check out or something. Don't really like getting a cold stare. Sad to update to a 2 star. I'm still ll rooting for this neighborhood bartells but I think the change of ownership and whatever else is happening is causing some issues in the pharmacy. To be 100% fair - the pharmacists are STILL the kindest and most helpful of all the places I've lived. The newer pharmacy staff always seem lost/confused and generally never find my info. Changes in rules and policy seem to be e delaying refills...I've stood in line a few times in the last few days and it's not just me :(. Since I am the Duke, I suppose that I should write an update. It is still a 4 star establishment. Several months back, the store did a renovation that made what was a nice location better with a spruced up candy section right in front and the liquor section has more exposure now then how it was arranged previously. There is plenty of parking here and everything is easy to find which is the biggest reason why I like this store. I have trouble finding the sale products at some Bartell locations, but not here. It is in the same area that it has always been since I started shopping here nearly 7 years ago. At times, the checkouts can be slow. Though they usually open up a new register if there is a line. The Yelp rating seems quite low for this store. It appears due to complaints with the pharmacy. I have had issues with the pharmacy a few times related to the store not having a certain drug or them having to verify the prescription. As a result, I have had to make a return visit to pickup. I wish there was a way for consumers to locate the availability of a prescription without having to go to the store or calling to confirm. I wish there was an online resource that I could use to do that. Aside from prescription availability issues, my experience with this Bartell location has been good. It is a well organized store and close by. Even though there is a Walmart down the street now, I still prefer coming here for my drugstore needs. read more

I don't usually post negative reviews, but I'm done with this place. We've used this pharmacy for years as they are very close to home and have a drive thru. They seem to always be overwhelmed and disorganized. The service is mediocre at best and they often run out of their meds, even if they know you fill it monthly, which sends you on a wild goose chase calling other pharmacies to try and fill it. YOU are doing the calling, mind you, they are far too busy and can't be bothered. Today was the final straw. I dropped two scripts off yesterday afternoon, and although the wait times are usually 20 to 40 minutes, they asked can I please come back tomorrow because it's flu season and they had a long backlog. I was a little annoyed, but I did that, and when I arrived the next morning of course they did not have any record of those scripts. For controlled substances. That I had hand delivered 18 hour before. The guy at the counter just shrugged and asked if I wanted to talk to the pharmacist. I did, and she searched around for 5 mins or so and found them laying somewhere, never having been entered into the system. Could I wait 30 mins? Yes, I can, but I'm going to use that 30 mins to write a Yelp review, which is what you're reading now. Hopefully I can save at least one person from this incompetence. Don't use this place. I went to get a little treat for my son today at this location. I saw an item that was marked $1.99. All the other same candy was $4.99. I ask the cashier to check the price. The elderly cashier lady and her associate whispered for a moment. Then she went ring my second item and asked me "what price did I want to make up for that item" it was extremely rude and uncalled for. This Bartells is great. They have been a wonderful neighborhood staple for years. I was recently in a very traumatic accident on a Friday afternoon. It was very late at night when the hospital released me and called in a prescription to this Bartells. My wife went inside to pick up the prescription but the pharmacy staff was so busy that they did not have time to put the order together. This was at closing time on a Friday night when we know they probably just wanted to go home. My wife patiently explained the circumstances of the painful injury and the pharmacy staff did not hesitate and put the prescription together. It was a lifesaver as the pain was getting pretty intense. I will forever be grateful to the Bartell staff and pharmacy workers for staying open a just a little longer and having empathy for my urgent situation. Thank you! read more

Pharmacy is so slow. Only one person working every time I come in, even when there's a long line. Takes hours to get a medication filled as well so you'll wait forever to find out your medication isn't ready. They'll say it will be ready in ten minutes... but the line will take forty five minutes again. read more

Came here to drop off my prescription, had to wait 15 minutes for someone to come to the drop-off area with 5 people working. I was then told I would have a 1 hour wait for a prescribed cream that is pre-packaged. Upon arriving 1 hour and 30 minutes later I was told to wait an additional 20 minutes for them to grab the prepackaged prescription. Completely and utterly unacceptable. Update: Called in my refill hoping they could redeem themselves. Three hours after calling it in, with 45 minutes of waiting at the store, it was ready. I have no faith in this pharmacy. read more

This review is for the store only; I haven't used the pharmacy or clinic services. I've always been a big Bartell's fan, at least of all their stores (I have had spotty luck with the pharmacies, so I tend to get scripts filled elsewhere). But I think this is now my favorite Bartell's of the lot! First of all, it's larger and more open than most Bartell's stores. Each section is clearly designated by ceiling-mounted signage. The aisles seem wider and way easier to navigate (even with two customers pushing carts and passing in opposite directions). There is the coolest centrally-located candy section, unlike any I've seen in any drugstore! Very open with the neatest displays (more reminiscent of a gourmet candy shop, actually). And they've the largest "market" section with refrigerated cases in the southeast corner of the store, with foods for sale like you'd get in Safeway or Fred Meyer, except presented and displayed nicer (for real!). Plus a nice wine section, too. The beauty section should be noted as well: it's large, well spread out, with quite a few higher-end brands. The greeting card section seems a bit smaller than in other Bartells, but that may simply be due to the different store lay-out here. There's the usual health and pharmaceutical aisles, and lots of household items acailable, as at the other Bartells. Plus I appreciate how they have many locally-made products (usually foods and beverages), as well as a large variety of Seattle sports team items (Seahawks and Mariners, especially). To top it off, there always seems to be employees scattered about to assist you in finding specific items you're looking for. Check-out has always been swift and pleasant for me, with ample staff at the cash registers. The parking lot is large and obstacle-free, with 3 or 4 access points. Note that an Ace Hardware store shares the same parking lot. This truly is a swell store! I wish it were closer to my house. read more

My visit here was fine. I was going for a flu shot (a little late in the season), and they were helpful. They processed my paperwork quickly, and after that it was a short wait to get the shot. She did a good job and the my whole experience with her was about 2 minutes. The store looks nice in the inside, always clean and reasonably well organized. The lighting is good and they have some unique products you don't see at a standard grocery store. I won't come here often, but it's nice that it is an option, especially for a quick pharmacy/clinic visit. read more

I used to be very happy with Bartells pharmacy, but now they are so under staffed it's crazy. I ended up going to the pharmacy 4 times for the same prescription. The last time, they finally had my medication, but they still had to count out the 180 capsules. I had already stood in line for at least 20 minutes and then had to wait another 20 minutes for the pharmacist to fill it and then there wasn't anyone to check me out! I finally asked the pharmacist to come back and get me out of there. I had been crying for at least 10 minutes and I could not take another second of the stress. This was only what happened in my last visit to get this medication, the other visits were just as bad with them being unable to transfer the prescription to another and not being willing to give me a partial prescription as they have in the past. read more

There are so many things that I like about this store. They recently went thru a new remodel of the store and the new layout makes it user friendly when locating things in the store. This is also the place that we use for prescriptions and it is super nice as it is open 24 hours a day. The customer service is top notch and always with a smile on their face. Nothing like being unaware of self-service processes and having staff make you feel stupid about it. I was told I could copy a 12x16 poster, walked up to what appeared to be a large printer and was looking for where exactly to insert my poster. I must have looked pretty silly trying to figure it out on my own, staff walks up to me and asks in a rude if condescending manner, "what are you trying to do?" I replied I am trying to copy my poster, but I'm not sure how. "Oh, well it's too big. See? This is where you do the copying" indicating the smaller scanner tucked under a counter.
