Just want to give a shout out for amazing customer service. I just had a baby and couldn't really go outside but I needed to make a salad for a large gathering so I called TJ's and asked if they could basically shop for me. They got me everything I requested which was 4 spring mix bags and 3 ready made kale slaw/chicken salad. The kale slaw was hard to describe but the girl on the phone knew exactly what I was talking about. My husband went to pick up the items and he said they also gave me a dozen roses for free with a congratulations. So sweet! read more

The parking is quite a mess, everyone is always honking at each other because parking can be hard to get. Service is always welcoming and fast. The first Trader Joe's I went to when I moved to the infamous PNW. I was so stoked. It's an excellent location. Currently there is some construction going on this store. (Why the 4 stars) In the freezer section. But I still found this location a favorite. The new items section was very nice. Ended up purchasing a bath bomb and some yummy new snacks. And of course I had to buy a watermelon. Always friendly service and good vibes at Trader Joe's. The parking lot can be a bit sketchy. Be careful. I'm proud of myself not purchasing a new Trader Joe's bag. So many here. Self care equals good eats. SYOY! read more

The reasons why I love Trader Joe's are endless. It caters to so many. Are you on a budget? You can great priced items here! Are you in a restrictive diet? Or following a healthy lifestyle? We've done the following lifestyles and have successfully navigated them all at Trader Joe's: Low Sodium Paleo Whole 30 Keto Low Carb And what's even better is that TJ's just has great staff. I can talk to any crew member and they will always help with any question I may have. I find that this location stays pretty busy so it helps with inventory and I find that they never really are out of my favorites unless Trader Joe's is just out nationwide. There is a pretty big parking garage here but it can get pretty busy at peak times because it is shared with other businesses but nevertheless you'll still find a spot. Current faves at TJ: Ghost pepper habanero salsa, plantain Crisps, Trader Joe's English muffins, Korean marinated short ribs, mango jicama coleslaw, and I always never leave without purchasing frozen broccoli and frozen cauliflower rice. read more

The service here was generally ok, I come here quite often. I had a bad experience here recently though. The person working here had an attitude when I tried to find the breakfast potatoes they usually have that I like. The vibe here is ok, they ask a lot of questions though at checkout. One of my favorite places to get groceries, lots of interesting options. I love how TJ brings some seasonal novelties every year by rebranding foreign products like the Italian pan di stelle cookies for example. This year (2023) TJ brought to us the best French butter cookie I have ever tasted, my favorite, the amazing Broye du Poitou by Golibeur, a gigantic shareable butter cookie, the size of a frisbee, very snappy, crunchy, with a hint of salt, an absolute masterpiece. Another great seasonal item is the frozen pure butter puff pastry. The usual puff pastry you find in other grocery stores is usually made with shortening or hydrogenated seed oils, pure poison. I'm a tourist visiting Bellevue for a week. It was super nice to have a TJ's near our hotel so I could enjoy some of my favorite food items while away from home. This TJ's has many things that my local TJ's does not. They did however have the yogurt I eat daily as well as a few premade food items to grab and go. Also unlike my hometown TJ's, this one has wine and spirits. It's a good sized Tj's, with a full compliment of produce, frozen foods, cereals, cleaning supplies and so on. They also have a private parking lot which is great and much needed in this area. All the staff were lovely (as usual) and we got some foods we had wanted to supplement our 'dining out' options while away from home. Thanks TJ. read more

Ended up in this TJs for the first time while on the hunt for a few seasonal products I can't find at my local store. This location is super easy to find and get into and has a covered parking garage with plenty of spaces. The store itself it on the larger side and is very nicely maintained. Of course, they have all sorts of unique items that you just can't find anywhere else for awesome prices, which is really what makes TJs what it is. I finally found Cookie Butter Beer at this location!! I thought it was supposed to be a fall thing, never found any, but it was late March and they had a lot of it! Wasn't able to find a couple other items I'm looking for because apparently everyone else is also looking and things fly off the shelf! Is TJs going to replace a regular grocery store? No. BUT, it's definitely worthwhile to stop by a TJs first to see what you can get and then head over to the Whole Foods down the street to fill in the gaps. read more

This is the newer location of the two Bellevue Trader Joe's stores. It opened up a couple years ago and the closest location to downtown Bellevue. Both stores are about the same distance away from home, but I frequent the other location more often primarily because of the parking setup and the awkward entrance here. You need to be driving north on 116th or heading west on NE 4th to enter the parking lot. Plus the parking lot is more painful to exit from than the Overlake location is. Aside from parking, this location is pretty much the same as the other Bellevue location and ones I have visited elsewhere except with a different layout. read more

I have had the pleasure of living in several states and Trader Joes Generally are really good- Nice people, fun products and good customer service. I have found my 2nd crappy Trader Joe's- (The other one was when I lived in CA in the Suburbs-I am starting to think it is a suburban thing- when I have lived in a proper city and visited one of those-the service is always pretty good). I do not come into Bellevue for really anything- I avoid the place like the plague. 1. because it takes way too long to get there from Seattle Proper 2. Can't be said here....but it has to do something along the lines of Zombie type people who look like they have all been pumped out of the same mould. The products were good as always but the people at this location could use some help- The cashier was really unfriendly- when I thought it was my turn- I didn't lay all my things down on the counter because she was cleaning it. So I waited but when she was done instead of vocalizing- like saying I can help you here...she just nodded her head over and when I got to the cash wrap no hello nothing just your total is this and would you like to pay for a bag. Another stock person literally rammed into me at the store. No apology- nothing- she did however pay me a dirty look...Thanks, horrible TJ's employee. I will stick to my regular TJ in Seattle-where everyone who works there doesn't feel so entitled and who is not a jerk. We were in the Bellevue area and decided to stop in this Trader Joe's. Yelp showed us this particular one had good ratings. Although, there were others closer to where we were staying. There were two levels of parking and it looked like a brand new establishment. The workers there were very friendly and helpful. We had clerk Brandon who helped and gave us some tips for his best seller's for gifts. He even opened up a sample so we could try. I'm glad he did because we bought some and bought a lot of other stuff. The experience was nice. From Bellevue to Downtown, the drive back to our hotel was fast, we took the freeway and got back in less then 25 minutes. read more

I love Trader Joe's and go there many locations. But some foods are not good sometimes. I had a couple times purchased bad Salad...Old or already spoiled bottom of salad. I have to Threw away! Mini cucumbers are spoiled few of next day. Avocado good prices but end up I have to threw away few. I purchased Cinnamon Raisin Bread and checked date on 4/27. I was wondering why this bread so hard outside package. I opened when I got home, look like dry and hard inside & outside....is it old bread? I read info from packaging and seeing good ingredients and said "The live grain difference! of food for Life breads. As nutritious as they are delicious." Sorry, this Cinnamon Raisin bread was "dead bread and not good taste!" I tried it original and toast one....hard and dry bread. I wondered bcz Organic ingredients...? I wanna say again, I love Trader Joe's store and Their Greek yogurts, Japanese fried Rice, Almond butter, organic oats & flax oatmeal.....etc I come to this location most of time. My favorite items are SALAD. But I check bottoms to look freshness. I always try some new products to check tastes. Today, I tried Porcini Mushroom & Truffle Triangoli and added garlic olive oil and goat cheese. It was easy to make it and taste alright! Always check out seasonal items and nice display items! I love this place! The everything salt, the frozen orange chicken, the bacon Mac and cheese, the everything bagel seasoning... staples. Try their version of peanut M&Ms. Oh! The cashew kale pesto for the vegan in the family is a must-have. I don't know if I should disclose this, but in the fall/winter they have seasonal dried persimmons which I hoard to last me the year. SO DELICIOUS. Today Mary Jo checked me out, she was knowledgeable, friendly and very efficient. Give this lady a raise! This is surprisingly the first time ever I've actually taken the time to browse through a Trader Joe's (as opposed to a quick in and out for cookie butter), and I'm loving everything about this supermarket chain - fun vibe, smaller community feel, original products. The Trader Giotto's brand for products imported from Italy is such a cute spin on the marketing. In addition to all the yummy-looking Trader Joe snacks and goodies (mochi cake mix omg), I also saw Trader Joe beauty products, toilet paper, sauces, spices, liquor, and so much more. This location had tons of parking as part of the same building as Home Goods and REI. Cashiers were well planned - there were just enough to be kept busy with no lineups. Trader Joe's, I truly love you. I grew up in Iowa and the closest TJ's was 45 minutes away from me. I would sometimes make the drive, but not nearly enough. Now, I can walk to one in 15-20 minutes and it is amazing. This is not the type of store I would go to for my regular grocery shopping, but my boyfriend and I love stopping by when we want something ~unique~. We always find ourselves coming back for the frozen meals (particularly the orange chicken, chicken fried rice, and chicken gyoza potstickers) because they taste so delicious! They are honestly just as good as some good takeout. We are also obsessed with the sour Scandinavian Swimmers. TJ's also is not the type of place where you can run in and just grab one thing. It is kind of like Target in the sense that you always leave with way more than you intended to (but that's ok, right?). I love all the candles and hand soaps, and they have the best seasonings, too. This is also our go-to place for Perfect Bars because they always have the widest assortment of flavors. I have been coming here for months now, but what inspired me to write this review is something I just purchased last night: the single-serve matcha green tea powder packets. Oh my GOSH! I have been wanting to make matcha at home for so long now, and finally got around to getting some matcha powder. I had no idea what type to buy, but I figured TJ's would be a good place to go. I made my first homemade matcha this morning in a blender with the powder, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, sugar-free vanilla syrup, and a bit of honey. It was so incredibly delicious and I almost couldn't stop myself from finishing all the single-serve packets in one morning. Aside from the amazing and fun products, the customer service at TJ's is amazing. The cashiers are always friendly and chatty, and they genuinely seem to be excited about their own products, too. Out of the local TJ's, this Bellevue location is my favorite. The parking is easy with an ample garage shared with a small quantity of stores. As it is COVID-19 time, there are markers outside with waiting spots for customers to wait their turn. There was one staff member managing the influx of customers. Inside, a separate set of shopping carts have been wiped down ready for the shopper. The inventory was well stocked, at least for the things I was shopping for - fresh veggies, eggs, shelf-stable items, and lots of frozen veggies. They're not allowing re-usable bags anymore, so we just took their paper bags. The staff was in good spirits, wearing masks and gloves. Well, we are wearing our masks for their protection too. Rumor has it that out of the Kirkland location, Redmond location, and this one, this has the shortest line. Kirkland has the worst line. read more

This was my regular Trader Joe's for a while when I lived close by since I didn't have one more conveniently located. Their selection is great but man does the parking situation make you cringe! The staff at this location is really great. They're always sampling something delicious and they're readily available to make recommendations. I love the variety they have of seasonal goods! The only downfall is the parking. Lot is shared with REI and Home Goods and if you come anytime in the afternoon you will spend a good 30 minutes circling for a spot. But once you make it in, you're bound to be amazed by the goodies they have! read more

The staff working here are always friendly and helpful, and the store is kept clean and organized even though products seem to shift locations every few months or so. Food selection and prices, I give Trader Joe's 5 stars. It's always my first choice for groceries. With that said, this review is for this specific location. This is the most inefficient TJs I've been in. I come here everyday for lunch - and I spend more time in the checkout lines than I do getting here, shopping, getting back to work, and eating my lunch COMBINED. They, for some reason, won't make just one line an express/lunch line for 2-3 items - so you'll be in line for quite a while since each line ends up with multiple carts. There are a few cashiers who are quick, but the others who help out during the lunch rush are very slow. If you know who's fast, get in those lines and you can get out in 10 minutes. Otherwise, you're here for your full lunch break... read more

After reading the reviews posted for this newly opened Trader Joe's, I just had to smile: some comment that this store is "huge" while other note how "small" it is. Some comment on the ample parking spots in the new garage whereas others state that parking is problematic. Some comment on the friendly staff when others state that the cashiers at check-out were horribly slow. Well, what is it? Is this a great TJ site or is it not? I think this place is average - which, for TJ standards, is pretty damn good. A TJ "average" ranking is still head and shoulders above most store's "excellent" rank. I love TJ stores and their average is still amazing. This new Bellevue site has the usual fabulous product lines, samples, new product area, helpful staff on the floor, super reasonable prices on high quality foods, terrific wines and greeting cards and flowers...... I could go on an on. My cashier lady, Lisa, was super friendly and nice and efficient. I chalk up the semi-negative reviews posted here to the fact that the store was super new when the earlier reviews were written and, like any new establishment, should probably have been given a few weeks grace period to get into its groove. The only reason I'm not giving this site a 5th star is because of the parking situation. The lot/garage configuration is horrid. I parked on the upper level and took the escalator down to the store. I risked my life in doing so. It was total anarchy, with cars entering and exiting the lot via the narrow access point, with the confusing (i.e. nonexistent) signs, directing people where to go. If I return to this site, next time I will enter the lower garage parking area via the access off 116th Avenue. The upper lot access was truly a nightmare. read more

My favorite place to go to for most of our grocery needs! I love that they have so many organic options for a better price than Whole Foods! I also enjoy their house brands! They usually make their house brands with a twist too! This is not as big as the one in Redmond and I think they carry fewer items since it's a smaller store! They have excellent customer service though, I like that you could try their products in store and if you don't like it then it saves you from buying it, you could also bring it home then try it then bring it back if you don't like it just make sure to bring a receipt if it's not their house brand and they have no way of telling if it came from their store! I received a gift card from my boss for $100 so going in I wasn't sure what to expect. I just knew I had that money to spend and needed a good grocery haul to get my boyfriend and I through the following week. I got tons of produce, honey, yogurts, two strips of steak, oats, string cheese, etc and everything has lasted me beyond the week. The cashier was very friendly, the only place that has matched Trader Joe's top notch customer service is Costco in my opinion. I also enjoyed the environment, it gives the feel of a farmers market. I will be returning to shop here for sure. read more
