Southgate Mart is a small family owned grocery store specializing in Korean goods. The store is packed with unique snacks and foods that would be essential to any Korean meal. I visited the shop specifically for their kimchi as they have some of the best around. The kimchi is pickled just right and has a good spicy flavor. If you're in the area and looking for Asian groceries or good kimchi, make sure to check out Southgate Mart!

Came for the kimbob. Was not disappointed. Nice people at the registers. Store is kind of crammed and small but I like that. Fair selection of Asian snacks and produce

It's a great Korean market that is convenient and will have most of the goods that you are looking for. My only complaints are that there are Very small aisles & Slightly higher pricing than other Asian markets. To more than make it up for it - hands down the best kimchi you'll get in the Eastside. The cucumber kimchi here is insanely addicting. It's fresh, crunchy, balanced with heat and salt and slight tanginess. Also, you can get a variety of other kimchi here that I haven't seen at other markets. My fave kimchis are the ong choy and mustard green kimchi. I crave this stuff. It's perfect as is and compliments any rice dish. And if you've had it a little too long, the absolute perfect addition to any ramen bowl. Additionally, the Kimbap here is so good and so affordable. Honestly, this is the only place I'll get my kimchi from now. And it's nice that I can pick up any pantry staples that I may need while here.

Came here for lunch today to grab some banchan. The store is small and the aisles are narrow, but it has all sorts of Korean things from snacks, ramen, produce, Kimchi, and there's a banchan section with things from marinated raw oysters, raw crab, mustard greens, boy choy, dry squid, bean sprouts, and more! And the cashier was nice and quick. I'm definitely coming back!

Nice Korean/Asian Grocery store. Surprisingly had lots of variety of dried noodles, and frozen foods. The proprietor was very nice and friendly too! Bought some mung bean noodles and fresh rice noodles. Also purchased bean sprouts. Nice selection of spices and herbs, fresh veggies

This little Korean market is great! It's located in Factoria, so off of I-90, which is convenient. It's nice to have an option for Korean groceries other than H-mart (though H-mart is awesome too). Compared to H-mart, it's a lot smaller (the store overall is small and the aisles are narrower), but's it's full of stuff and it's fun to look around. They carry all the major ingredients you would need to make Korean food, plus they also sell kimbap and they sell homemade kimchi in jars in the back section (where the produce are). The chonggak kimchi (young radish kimchi) is really good! The prices are a little higher than they would be at a chain Asian grocery store, but if you don't want to go out of the way or just need to pick up something really quick, this is a great choice and you can support a local mom n pop shop!

I had no idea Southgate Mart was here 'til I was trying to find a parking spot to go to another business nearby in this Factoria business strip. But I'm glad I did! Southgate Mart has a lot of Korean food items. Get here early for the already-made food! As mentioned, Southgate Mart is located in a strip mall in Factoria. The parking lot can get crowded, with neighboring businesses and such. But if you're looking to stock up on your Korean favorites, it's worth a visit and the parking struggles. I visited on a Saturday and the place was crowded with lots of people grocery shopping. Let's just say I was the only non-Korean person here! I love Korean ramen, so was happy to find a bunch of options here, including cheese and kimchi ramens! The space inside isn't large, but they seem to have a good selection of items, depending on what you're looking for. They even have a freezer section along the sides of the store. I'm glad I discovered Southgate Mart and will be back whenever I'm in Factoria and in need of my ramen.

One of the best kimbap in Seattle area. Make sure to go within a couple of hours of when they open because sometimes they sell out fast.

The T&T in Lynnwood doesn't disappoint at all. While it is smaller than the Factoria location, we do not personally have any complaints. The place is not always packed like the Factoria location and that is a a relief. We primarily use the food & bakery sections, live fish, and frozen food sections. One can say they are a bit pricier in comparison to places like Ranch Market who have similar options but we T&T is closer to us than Ranch Market and so we prefer to go here as it is more convenient. They are special items during Boat Festival every year and we absolutely love the bun station during this time. This is also a great place to experiment with a lot of not usually found Asian alcohol in main stream supermarkets unless you are specially going to a specialty shop.

After a few bites of food, I tossed the rest because it was so unpleasant. Orange chicken, sweet and sour pork, ribs, what could go wrong? In addition, I have never had a staff person say hello or thank you, rarely even an acknowledgement that I am there. During my last visit I asked a gentleman if he knew if they had a particular item and he said "what we have in the store". Oh ok, thanks.

Possibly. I get all my pantry staples and Asian snacks here. The frozen foods are always good too. Not always the best selection on fresh produce or meats but I mostly get those at Trader Joe's anyways. S-Mart has the best prices on all my kids' favorite snacks and now they make fresh banh mi's, so it's the only grocery store my kids actually willingly go to. You pay for the banh mi at the grocery checkout and then bring the receipt to the banh mi counter - which is just to the left inside S Marts South entrance. This is a small spot and they get busy, so perhaps check out the wait time and order before you shop. I waited 30 minutes mid day today. (S Mart has a great selection of both Asian and some non-asian foods) The staff were very nice and helpful and our order was spot on, even with our special requests of one non-toasted and without jalapenos. We'll definitely go again.

I ate a few slices without noticing anything unusual because the problem was mostly toward the bottom of the cake. When I opened it further, I discovered that a large portion of the cake was covered with what appears to be extensive mold/spoilage. The condition of the cake is honestly some of the worst I have ever seen. What concerns me even more is that I could not find a clearly marked expiration or best-before date on the package. There is a number printed on it (LOT: 5505342), but that is not a date that an ordinary customer can understand as an expiration date. I actually had a significant acid reflux episode during the night after eating this cake, although I cannot say for certain that the cake caused it. Regardless, customers should not have to discover this kind of severe spoilage only after opening and eating part of a product. Please stop selling products like this and make sure all packaged food products have a clearly visible and understandable expiration/best-before date and are properly checked for freshness. I hope the store takes this seriously because this is a food-safety issue, not simply a matter of the product not tasting good.
