I went on their site to register and request that my prescription be transferred to Alto, which took a couple of days. After the transfer process was complete, I requested the prescription refill. They offer free prescription delivery via courier, but I opted to pick it up at their Bellevue pharmacy location. It is located inside Plaza 520. There are numerous buildings in this business center, so you should take down the address or look on a map app to find the location. The pharmacy interior is pretty basic. There is just a front desk and what seems to be some prescription bins for couriers to gather prescriptions for delivery on the left. Pickup was quick. I just gave my name and the staff member brought my prescription out which included a couple of free sea salt caramels inside the bag. Based on the prescription savings and the delivery options available, I would recommend Alto.

Wish they had been honest especially after ALL the hoops I had to jump through. The customer service was decent and helpful and I realize my med is on back order but did not at the time. I also wish they had offered a recommendation for something available. I do see that my insurance was billed for a medication I never received as well.

I had a prescription that I was told would be ready by 2:20, so I am there at 2:40 to pick up. There were 2 people in front of me including 2 more waiting to get their flu shots. When I stepped up to the cashier, I was told it was being filled at that moment and will be ready in a few minutes. So I sat down to wait. Meanwhile, the line for the prescription pick ups was growing every 30 seconds. I also noticed that the pharmacy was very short staffed with one pharmacist giving "appointment"made flu shots. I patiently waited. I saw AND was notified via text message that my prescription was ready. The line continued to grow and was about 8 people deep now. The next person in line, I said to him in a kind voice that I was next in line, however, I chose to sit instead of stand. So I proceeded to the pharmacy window, I told the gal that my prescription was ready and pointed behind her to the counter where it was sitting. She said she didn't have time to check and for me to go to the back of the line. I said to her that I have been patiently waiting and was letting others go in front of me until the pharmacist put the label on the medication container. She then raised her voice at me and told me to go to the back of the line! I told her that I will not and that I had been waiting way longer than these other customers who have just walked in. She rolled her eyes at me, huffed in frustration, she turned around and grabbed my prescription. She then said what my medication was basically verifying that she had the correct prescription. Which is all fine, but she said the name of my medication very loudly and most of the customers in line heard. This is a huge HIPPA violation!!!! Hey, I get it, they were way understaffed, extremely busy ( like I've never seen so many customers in line for their prescriptions for the 5 plus years I have been going there), but to treat me like that and raise your voice to me and demand I go to the back of the Line and wait my turn as if I were a child is 100% not acceptable!!! Additionally, loudly saying what my medication was is a HIPPA violation, I really feel like I need to report this person. I believe she is a fairly young pharmacy technician with mousy brown hair and was wearing glasses. I too work in the medical field and I am constantly writing and sending patients medications to various pharmacies. I will never again recommend Fred Meyer to any of my patients and I will warn my patients about HIPPA violation that had occurred. I will also be changing to a new pharmacy. The Seattle area is busy, many businesses are extremely understaffed and we are all overwhelmed, over worked and exhausted most of the time. However, the way this pharmacy staff person handled herself was so unprofessional. I thanked this person for attending to me and I told her I hope her day gets better and it won't be so busy. All I got back from her was an eye roll (again) and a little forced smile.

The scale of this pharmacy is the same as any other inside a grocery store, small but also tidy and neat off to one side. At this location, there is a large bin to deposit unwanted medications. There's also an automatic blood pressure measurement device. They do flu shots too. I typically find they are not too busy with short wait, so that's a plus. Parking is easy, underneath the store.

Glad that CVS took over this store after Rite Aid went bankrupt and had to close this Bartell Drugs…read morelocation as it keeps another pharmacy in my neighborhood open. It is looking better now than when Bartell Drugs was about to close and there were plenty of empty shelves. The layout has stayed the same as before, so the changeover is not very noticeable aside from the fuller stock. Still, it does not compare to the shopping experience here when locally owned Bartell Drugs was running it.
