I had a really uncomfortable experience with a pharmacy technician, Colin, via phone, who wouldn't address my concerns, rather provide their expertise on medications he had knowledge of. He told me I would be "playing telephone" if I escalated and that "the situation is the situation". He was very dismissive and I truly felt like he was out of his scope to tell me the information he told me, not allowing me to speak to the proper person, rather than to make his own decision on my care and medication I was looking to obtain an alternative of. I recently made a visit to get a special prescription that can't be found anywhere! It' made especially for me:) After months of traditional meds my body needed something more. At Kelley-Ross Compounding Pharmacy they make drugs prescribed by doctors for specific patients with needs that can't be met by commercially available drugs. From the moment I walked in everyone was vey friendly and made me feel at home. My doctor had snd over the prescription via email and it took all of 10 mins to fill! Very fast. Fantastic pharmacy. While the hours are more limited than some of the larger ones (e.g., Bartell's, Walgreens), their service is infinitely better! I would rather drive 20 minutes to Kelley-Ross than 5 minutes to my nearby Bartell's because their lines are nonexistent and their service is fantastic. I recently experienced some significant challenges with a change in insurance plans, and their pharmacist directly called me multiple times to get the situation remedied. This would not happen with Bartell's. In fact, Bartell's (at least in University Village) doesn't even answer calls. If you want high quality, efficient, personal service, use Kelley-Ross. read more

Terrific!! -Prices are awesome. I live in Spokane. K-R is significantly cheaper than anyone in Spokane (for my meds anyway), so I buy from K-R and they send my meds to me. And they don't charge for shipping. Whaaaaat?? -They communicate well, so valuable. -I travel a lot. Several times when traveling this summer I had to transfer my script (here to there, then there to here, etc...). K-R seamlessly made that happen, not one hitch. Very impressive. Great experience -- I put 4 instead of 5 starts because they are significantly more pricey than the compounding pharmacy I worked with previously. Same item was twice the cost here. But, they are otherwise FANTASTIC -- so perhaps you get what you pay for. Super clean, responsive, and even worked with me to get something sooner before I was leaving the country. My first visit to a compounding pharmacy. This pharmacy is not contracted with any insurance. They provide you with paperwork to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Parking is available off of 8th st look for the orange signs with a giant M. The pharmacy will validate your parking. You just have to remember what stall you are in. Pharmacy is on the 7th floor. It is a little odd it looks like an office space. Staff is professional and friendly. read more

I've used this pharmacy three times in the last three years for my highly allergic daughter. Every single time we've had superb customer service, no matter if it's in person or by phone. They've taken the time each time to make sure that we get the right ingredients to my daughter's medicine so we don't have problems. And they even gave her a duck toy when we arrived to pick up the prescriptions. Hint: don't pay for parking...the pharmacy will pay for your spot when you pick up your meds. read more

Recently I had a problem filling a prescription for my dog. To make a long story short, the owner and management went above and beyond to rectify the situation, personally delivering my dog's medication to my doorstep after-hours. It is very uncommon these days for the owner of a business to get involved in making sure the customer is properly taken care of. I used to get serum tears from Kelley-Ross. Everyone I spoke to on the phone was always professional and cooperative. But as Rheghan said, Kelley-Ross recently jacked up their prices bigtime. My serum tears went from $18.50/bottle to $30/bottle. Considering that Leiter's Compounding in San Jose is cheaper, there's no reason to use Kelley-Ross any more - unless they decide to make everything cheaper again. Edit: Probably the reason why they jacked up prices is because Leiter's doesn't make serum tears anymore! That still doesn't excuse them from gouging their customers who NEED their medicine. read more

I've used Kelly-Ross for compounding for 5+ years. The same order each month or two. This time they tell me there has been an across-the-board price increase for compounding, so the price is now 50% higher than last month. That's a stiff price increase for compounding since you can't blame the pharmaceutical maker for the price change... There is also a week delay in processing compound orders now. That's never been the case. It makes me wonder if this is being outsourced altogether... Kelly Ross was already the high-priced compounder. I'll be switching my prescription to a mail-order company. I can't stick with local when the local business tries to take advantage of long-time customers. read more
