The Pharmacist was not welcoming or helpful. My usual pharmacy didn't have my medication in stock and they advised me to go to nearby pharmacy to have it transferred. First question from pharmacist was if I was a usual customer in a not so welcoming tone. I said no because I wasn't but may have been had I been welcomed to their pharmacy. Overall he did not help me and definitely not coming back here to fill my prescriptions. There's better ways of providing customer service even though you deal with many people and it's towards the end of the day. I know we are living in hard times but a smile and politeness goes a long way. Do better especially if you deal with customer service because it's just that, customer service. read more

There was a price tag on an item that the associate refused to offer me. I told them that was not right and they need to offer the same price as the tag says. It is not my problem your team members are screwups. They continued to argue with me. The supervisor comes and tries to make a complete mockery of me in the middle of the store. He takes a price tag off an item and yells at me "So if I were to take this tag off and put it on a bag of chips, does that mean this is the price??". So BEYOND RUDE to speak to a customer like that. I was in line waiting for my medication at the pharmacy. Some car alarm went off really loud so loud that everyone in the line turned around to see but I quickly ran out side to check to see if it was my my car or if my car was being broken into. I was standing in line and everyone knew it. Especially the pharmacy employees saw me standing there for a while. When I came back 1 mins later and got back into my line where I was before , I was insulted , told to get back at the back by the lady standing right behind me. She said I left the line. I explained why I left still this crazy lady persisted to tell me to go back To the end of the line.I asked for the manager and she would not help even Though she was standing right there while I was there and back. It's a matter of being treated with respect and I was not. She's allowed this lady to insult me and talk shit to me. And even when I came back to understand what happened she said " well I didn't know what to say" I have stopped coming in except to get my prescriptions which I am transferring soon to another rite aid. Maybe I am just one customer who had a bad experience but when the staff acts like they dont see anything I would Like To know the reason why. An alarm was going off loudly in parking lot and it seems prudent to check if it might be yours. My Pharmacy experience. I will not be coming back here. I need to go somewhere else, I choose this because it was around the corner. I went multiple times within a month because I was having problems with my insurance. One time I walked to the front and I said I had a pick up and the guy was like "okay.. and". And I said what do I need to give you? My name card dob?" I'm new to medication so I don't know what he needs from me. He was very rude. Third time. They took my insurance card and walked away. Left me standing there for 10min. Then the lady comes back and says it will be a few more minutes... so I assume they're getting it ready and my card worked finally. I end up sitting there for 45 min. The Asian pharmacist and the lady were the only friendly people there. I also look young so maybe they felt they could treat me unfairly idk. Finally I got my medication.. and the guy threw the pen down for me to sign. There was no rush, no one was in line behind me. Said thank you with attitude. I was sitting for 45 min waiting for my prescription I was tired and this guy has some attitude. The guy mumbles under his mask and gets upset when I can't hear him behind his screen?? Idk People coming in for medication clearly need some sort of help, so it would be helpful to have nice people working there. read more

This location has plenty of parking. The store is never fully stocked, it's always in holiday transition mode. There's nothing wrong with it but sometimes there will be a person asking for money /donations out front Every day!!! The service here is terrible, the employees seem miserable. But if you are friendly, they'll be really nice back. Maybe the working conditions are bad, I have no idea The bad part is the fact that I'm trying to be healthy and the smell of delicious doughnuts from the corner is torture!!! read more

My husband and I went to pick up a prescription and we were descended upon by flu shot pushers who were EXTREMELY pushy and rude- saying things like "ok, now it's time to get your flu shot" in a very patronizing and pushy way. It's NONE of their business where I get my flu shot, or IF I get my flu shot (I would never ever get one at rite aid, especially this one). This was a very disturbing experience, especially with everything going on right now. How dare these employees be this pushy about something like this- we must have been asked, reminded or pushed on it 5-6 times and when we declined and let them know it was in our Dr.'s hands, they were RUDE to us. I have been shopping at this location on E. Washington (Pasadena) for over 5 years. I am sick and tired of seeing how rude and disrepectful the staff is to older customers, by insisting on checking id's for alcohol sales, even when they know the customer. It is as ageisem. Also, the staff members that work at this store, are treated like non-thinking drones, and that is reflected in how they treat customers. Today, I went to the pharmacy, and to buy a bottle of Proseco for a holiday dinner. As it happens, I left my Drivers Licence at work in a scanner on my desk. The young clerk, who has seen me, and sold beer and wine to me hundreds of times, would not sell me a bottle of Proseco. I insisted on seeing the manager, and she doubled down, and quoted the ridiculous Rite Aid policy. I am 60, and she actually told me that if I were 65, it would be okay to sell to me without an id. I am a life-long Pasadenean and Navy Veteran, and this is how I am treated. I shouted, especially about at how humiliating, unncessary, illogical,and irrational the 20-something year old manager was being. The kid at the register just stared, afraid to show his work-experience. I have witnessed the drone-staff check id's of 70-year old women, often non-white, and just marveled at how rude and disrepsectul Rite Ade policy is to senior-citizens. I have seen some smarter, older staff members cringe in misery, at how they have to parrot Rite Ade policy, and shut down their own common sense, and customer service skills. This has to stop! Stop abusing your staff and customers. As many of each, are non-white, I am beginning to suspect Rite Aid has a racist bent. I am never going to buy beer, wine, sundries, or groceries at Rite Ade again. I will limit my purchases to the pharmacy. STOP DISRESPECTING OLDER PEOPLE!!! We are in the middle of the Delta variant pandemic. L.A. County has a mask mandate because the pandemic is out of control. I went to the pharmacy window at this Rite Aid and the pharmacy clerk in the pharmacy had her mask off and she was wiping her nose and mouth with a tissue. She was engaging in this disgusting behavior as she stood next to all the medications that the pharmacist dispenses to customers! She then put her mask back on and asked if she could help me. She still had the gross tissue in her hand that she had used to wipe her nose and mouth with. This is gross and disgusting behavior that spreads germs even when we are not in a pandemic. This lady should have gone to the restroom where she could have cleaned herself up, disposed of her germy tissue, and washed her hands. I left the store immediately and then on my way out I was nearly accosted by two unmasked solicitors standing at the exit whom I had to run away from because they invaded my personal space and they were not wearing MASKS. Of course, no Rite Aid employee did anything about these pesky unmasked solicitors who were not observing the mask mandate and social distancing rules. I've been coming to this Rite Aid for years. The pharmacy is absolutely terrific. The entire team is always patient and kind. Imagine you are working in a pharmacy and most of the time each customer is feeling either sick or filled with anxiety due to the need to get medication. The staff that works in the pharmacy consistently do their best. I've seen customers yell at them when insurance companies are denying access for some reason. I've seen them patiently help older people manage the debit card process. They've helped me when I've lost my prescription. Thank you Rite Aid Pharmacy for helping many people. I came here to get a flu shot, and what an ordeal that was. I've been getting my flu shot since I was a little kid (having asthma and all) so I know the routine down cold by now. I decided to come to Rite Aid because I did Costco last year and my arm bled. Rite Aid had always been so good to me in the past. I went when they were not busy, and I had everything ready to go. The guy who was helping me seemed a little off. He wasn't talking loudly enough or coherently enough for anyone to hear him, he wasn't listening to what I was saying, and he went at a glacial pace. Just to emphasize my point, before I got there a woman and her very sick daughter were ahead of me. The woman went up to the guy and asked what was taking so long because he had said it would be 20 minutes, well it was 40 minutes later. He said with a glazed look in his eyes, "O, yea, I forgot." The poor girl looked like she was going to die. On to my story again. I told the guy that my insurance would not cover the shot and I would pay. He runs my insurance anyways, and 20 minutes later, what happens, the insurance won't take it. Surprise! I pay, and wait another 15 minutes for the pharmacist to come out. She takes me into a side room. Now I hate needles, and it is very clear that I hate needles. In the past the pharmacists have always been very kind, eased my fears, and helped me feel better. This one was rude! When she asked what I did I explained that I was a substitute teacher, but I had just moved to the area so I was looking for work. She seemed not happy with my answer and proceded to grill me and have a hostile tone. I did not like the way she was talking to me and making me feel. After the horrific ordeal of her 20 questions I got up to go post shot. She demanded that I sit down because it was a store policy that everyone had to sit for 15 minutes post shot. I had never heard this before, and like I said, I have been having a flu shot since I was a kid. I know I wasn't going to have a reaction or faint, I wanted to go home. This had taken longer then I expected. Well 20 minutes go by, and no one has come to tell me I can go, so I left. On top of all that, I was supposed to get some coupons for getting my flu shot. Zero star. Their service was the worst. I can not believe. I really needed Sanitary goods. It was an emergency. They let me get in at 21:50. I was choosing goods I needed. A woman, I am sure she had had this problem, came to me and say " they closed register at 10". It was at. 22:05. I asked her help. But she just kept telling me they closed. My mother was there with her grandchild on 6/14 to buy him 1 prime energy drink, before the blond headed kid rings her up she gave the guy at the register a $10 bill, he give back her $2 dollar change after ringing her up, she then asks how much was the drink he replied with attitude $8 for the drink, she say it is marked $2.39 plus tax, he rudely says it is $8 for 1 drink. My mom says if that's the case if you don't want to do a price check give me my money back, he pulls out $2 from the register saying this is all you gave me, my mom says I gave you a $10 bill, he argues with my mom say you only gave me $2, luckily the girl at the other register realized the situation and came and was able to help mom and gave her money back. Awhile back my mother buys a $50 Xbox gift card comes home and the card is empty, we called the company and they said it is empty, went back to the store I guess they have a policy where they don't return gift card, the same blond headed kid pocketed the money. It's sad that he is taking advantage of people. He may not be fit for this job or needs more training and is rude and needs better costumer service training or he is just a miserable kid. Hopefully the managers can deal with this and make him a better employee read more

This review is based on customer experience at this location. There are 6 registers ready and waiting to help customers check out, however the manager, has only assigned one elderly lady the duties of helping a line of 10 customers, while also having to fill online orders. I spotted the manager a couple aisles over casually putting up seasonal items on the shelves on his phone giggling away, while this poor lady is hopping between 2 registers, trying to fill online orders, AND having to scoop ice cream for customers. This manager is inept at his position and should be demoted. He obviously has ZERO ability to lead a team. Also, he has the audacity to tell me that he can't find people to work to cover the front. My response was maybe because you leave them to tend the front all to themselves, scoop ice cream, and fill online orders while you're giggling away on your phone 2 aisles over. There's no reason why it should take 25 mins to check out with 6 drinks and a scoop of ice cream. read more

This last time I went I had a not so friendly cashier, and she just really put me off with her attitude. I had a lot of things and instead of her bagging them as she rang up my items (I gave her my bags at beginning of the transaction) she set all my things aside. When she finished ringing me up she just walked away instead of at least helping me bag the stuff (3 full bags) which is what I thought she was going to do.
