I was doing some last minute Christmas shopping with the hopes of finding a unique pair of Jordan's for my boyfriend. I started at Shoe Palace a block away but their selection was abysmal. I decided to check Yelp and found RIF close by. They had a HUGE selection of rare kicks and although the prices were retail, I was in a pinch and willing to pay more for convenience. I think the staff could tell I was having a hard time making a decision by my lingering back and forth; one guy eventually asked what I was looking for and said he would bring out all the size 11 Jordan's within my price range from the back. I eventually made a decision and they even gave me an energy drink because I was expressing how I had a long night of wrapping presents and decorating ahead of me...great service and they were very nice! read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. They get an F for customer service. I'm sure they have a lot of nice shoes and product, they prollie have good prices and they probably have a lot of repeat customers. But, that does not take away from their lack of customer service and professionalism. The negative reviews here from people complaining about the staff and lack of customer service appear legit. My 1st time at this store was today, after i saw a pair of shoes they posted on their IG story that was clearly labeled as "brand new". The same day, I reacted to the pic of the shoes on their IG story and confirmed with them through DM the shoes were still available. Yes they were, I was told. So, I left work early and drove 1 hour to get there, right at opening. I asked the guy at the front desk for the exact shoes they posted and asked if he was the one I was DM'ing with. His lifeless reply: "yeah I guess". (This was off and a clue to more trash customer service to come..) He went to get the shoes, I opened them and noticed they were used, and asked him to confirm. His lifeless reply: "yeah used." I said the IG story said "brand new" ...and commented I drove an hour and left work early to come get them.....and I showed him the IG story..he saw it and his response was "well we make a lot of mistakes." That's it! No sorry, no remorse, no emotion. The guy didnt care and didnt apologize or show any reaction. Siri has more personality than this guy.. Horrible customer service. Im sure it was an honest mistake, they screwed up saying it was brand new, when it was used. It happens, i intended to not buy them and move on. His reply, or lack thereof is what prompts this review. No need to support brick and mortor businesses like this that dont even apologize for their own mistakes and dont care, his lack of reaction and lifeless replies spoke volumes. I talked to a rock, without a care in the world. If he was so grumpy, he should just work elsewhere if he doesnt wanna say hi or talk to anyone. Too cool for school.. This was my second time coming by and I honestly have never dealt with a resell shop with worse customer service. They act as if they don't care and will lowball you for the shoes your trying to sell. They say they go according to market but they always lowball plus over price shoes. I can deal with the lowballs and over priced shoes that don't follow market but there customer service is something else. Employees just don't seem to be friendly or actually care. Service is non-existent. Honestly, I wanted to check out RIF LA but didn't wanna sit in traffic. Found out they had an OC store so I made my way here. Proper customer service etiquette and the most basic thing to do is to greet your customers when they walk in the store. However, no greeting. Just a guy that is heavily invested on the computer. A lot of people were looking around also. A simple, can I help you find something? Or can I help you with anything? Would be nice. I was also on the fence on buying a couple pairs of shoes. But because the guy at the counter didn't say anything to help me, I just decided to walk out. I guess I should've expected it. A few years ago I went to RIF SF wanting to buy a pair of Yeezy 1 Tans. I'm staring at the shoes for like 15 minutes. No one comes to help me. Just because you have good product does not mean a person is going to buy it. My husband and I got there 10 mins before closing ok I get it BUT we weren't there to waste their time my husband was going to buy something regardless if they had what he wanted or not. First time in the OC location and it was great. I happen to be there when someone was consigning or selling some old school heat.. Got into a conversation with them and just talked shoes for a minute. The staff was great and friendly and there was a bunch of stuff that I would have loved to grab for the collection. But I will definitely come back to check them out next time I'm in town. But if you didnt wanna be around the busy J town location then this is a great spot to check out. Great sneaker store all around. I've been long time fan of rif la and was stoked when I found out they were going to open a location 5 min away from my house. Staff: compared to other sneaker stores, this has one of the best staff. Always willing to help once I enter the store. Always willing to do legit checks for me as well, for free! Buying shoes: Their prices could be outrageous at times but that's because it's the person who consigns it. They need to set it high to get a good payout. But any shoes you need, it's pretty much here in most sizes. I follow their IG and have seen a lot of great deals. Ex: size 9 beluga ds for $725 on goat they're sometimes at 1k+ Selling shoes: people can't expect to come in with brick shoes and expect them to cash you out at top dollar. I do agree their cash out prices may not be the highest. To make the most out of your sneakers, do the work yourself and sell it on CL, fb, goat, etc... or you can consign it and set it at whatever price you want read more

If you're looking to sell your items SELL THEM ELSEWHERE. RIF.OC doesn't value your time. RIF.OC doesn't care about your time nor do they care about they're customer service. I messaged them on IG (which they encourage) on Friday morning in regards to selling my deadstock TS1's, I got no reply so I figured they must be busy and I decided to go out of my way and drive 40 mins round trip + look / pay for parking. I get there and this kid takes a glance at the sneakers, asks me to wait for 5 mins since the "guy who buys" is not in that day. After 3 mins he tells me to just return on Sunday instead and that's that. Now I'm a bit annoyed, but since I have a haircut appt nearby on Sunday I figured I'd walk in on Sunday and just ask what's the payout on a DEADSTOCK PAIR. Come Sunday, I'm done with my haircut and I drive out of my way once again to confirm and talk to the "guy who buys". I walk inside, I see the same kid I spoke to on Friday so I walk up to the kid and remind him who I am and he tells me the guy is in the back. I wait for the guy patiently and when he comes out he looks at me like I'm some sort of nuisance. I let him know my situation and ask what they're paying out for the DEADSTOCK sneaker and the size and all he tells me is, "you have to bring them in." I've been in this game for far too long to know they could have just given me a price then and there, I would've happily gone home and came back with them to legit check the items and collect my coins. Matter of fact, I still got DMs from 2017 where they would actually give you their price payout via DMs. Next time I won't even bother coming to this place, I'd much rather drive to LA and visit Round Two, Syndicate, RIF.LA, Sell on GOAT and take them to Flight Club. Hell, I'll even step foot at Cool Kicks before stepping foot here again and I'd advise everyone to lose to do the same. read more

Leaving two stars because 1 I was greeted once I walked in and 2 because they have a good selection. This place is cool and all, but some of the staff got to work on their customer service skills. Saw a story post on IG for shoes at $30, I called ahead of time but no answer to confirm if they were still there. (Maybe get a 714 or 949 area code would help since 657 number just kept ringing) I took a screenshot of it (I still have) and decided to drive 30 minutes out during traffic hour in hopes they would still have em, I arrived and showed the kid (definitely in his late teens or early 20s) and he said yea they still have em. I was like yea I'll take them then. I decided to check out and the kid said it would be $300 something after tax. I asked if that was correct since I showed him the story post and it said $30 and he said nothing for a couple seconds. I asked if it was a typo and the kid just looked down. Like bro do you not know how to interact with people?? I ended up just telling him I'm good on that and NO ONE said anything, not even an apology for a simple mistake or a MY BAD. Can't even own up to a mistake. I end up leaving and I saw that they reposted them at the $300 price. Drove 30 minutes in traffic for nothing. A simple " I'm sorry for the inconvenience, but we made a mistake" would of gone a long way. DOUBLE or TRIPLE check prices before y'all post em. Gas ain't free. This is the second time I've visited this Rif location and had a box logo authenticated. Both times the staff has welcomed me in and didn't make me feel uncomfortable in doing so. The guys working spent several minutes digging into the hoodie, double and triple checking over stitching, fabric, tags and all other detailed areas. Of all the stores I've had legit check an item these guys have gone above and beyond to ensure I was getting authentic Supreme. They provide thorough legit checks and are very nice about helping you. They let you roam around without hounding over you worried about touching their product. They take their legit pair and compare it with the one you bring in so I wouldn't hesitate to come in here if you are worried about receiving a fake shoe or trading someone local for fakes. This is a consignment shop so don't expect stockx sell prices where you aren't able to touch and hold the product in hand. read more

I messaged them on Instagram and asked if Some shoes they posted were available.They said yes so I drove there and when I got there i asked one of the guys if they had them, he brings them out and as Im looking at them another guy from the back(he said his name is Jay Jay) said no there not available. They had them on hold for someone else. I told him why would they reply saying they're available if they're on hold he just said oh well we have them on hold. He then said that they prefer to sell them to the person they're holding them for since he's a friend of RIF and friends are a priority to RIF. I asked him what about regular customers and he said they don't really matter. I've given this Store way too many chances than they deserve and this time for real won't be coming back. They tax(Way above market)on their shoes and low ball when offering to buy the shoes you bring in. No wonder they've been doing credit only for the past month since they can't move inventory. No more Funds! Keep treating customers the way you do. It seems to be taking effect since every time you go in the store is empty. Also they don't greet you when you walk in.
