I stopped by here for a spontaneous brunch on Father's Day. It's a nice place, located in a small strip mall. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The weather was nice so I sat outside. The service was great. All the staff was very welcoming and attentive, but not in a pushy way. Super cheerful too. The menu has some interesting options, at least they sounded that way. Slightly different takes on old standbys like chicken fried steak and pancakes, etc. They all sounded great but it fell flat on execution, at least mine did. I had the chicken fried steak with eggs. The eggs were cooked exactly as ordered and the steak was fried reasonably well (considering it was deep fried). Where it came apart was the gravy. It was supposed to be sausage gravy, but it had zero flavor. They did drop a handful of crumbled sausage pieces on it, but it was really boring. And I would have thought an $18 breakfast would have come with a side of hashbrowns or something, but nope. I might go back someday, but I think there might be better places to try for brunch. read more

We've been coming here since they opened. At least 40 times with family and colleagues. The martini was tiny. We asked for a decently filled drink and the bartender said no. Lasagna came out frozen. Two weekends ago we ordered eggs Benedict and was served with hard boiled eggs instead of poached eggs. The waitstaff was very nice but whoever was cooking didn't know how to make poached eggs!? 2 other tables were also served hard boiled eggs. Rarely do I leave negative reviews. But Ridgehill Tavern was a disappointing experience. The server was prompt and kind, and the interior is bright and clean. Where they seemed to lack was in the food department. Our party of 4 ordered 2 appetizers and 4 different meals. Out of our 6 choices, none of the items were "great". Room temperature food, cold fries, and a pizza that "tasted just like a frozen Tostitos ". Maybe the kitchen was having a bad night, but based on our experience we won't likely try it again. read more

When we came in the restaurant, there were four waiters and the manager standing in the way of the hostess table talking about their weekend plans. The restaurant was empty, but they seated our family of five at a table meant to seat four. We asked if there was a different table and were told no, everything was reserved. None of those larger tables had anyone sitting at them when we left an hour later. Our order came out incomplete and we had to wait for one person's order to be made. When the rest of the food came out, it was rushed and the chicken fried steak was grease soaked and not cooked through. The restaurant has higher-end pricing, but poor service. There are other, much better restaurants in the area. FYI, if you order a pepperoni pizza you will get a cheese pizza with four pieces of pepperoni on it. read more

Being in the customer service industry for a very long time rarely do I write yelp reviews but this time I was really shocked by the service. We have tried this place once before the first week it was open and there were a few things that needed work but that's to be expected overall it was good and we had great service, so we thought we would give it another try. It was Saturday afternoon and didn't seem too busy. We went up to the bar to have a drink. There were two female bartender, neither one of them greeted us. They both looked at us but never greeted us. A couple came in a few minutes after us that obviously go there often and they were greeted right away by both bartenders. After at least five minutes of not being greeted we decided to get up and leave. Great atmosphere but terrible customer service. read more

The waitress only came by when she was dropping off food, she did not ask us if we needed anything else nor did she ask if we liked our food while we took our first couple of bites. This is server etiquette 101 ... It looked like she was the only person running the floor but there was barely anyone there unless there was a separate room I couldn't see. Our order set there for over an hour while they waited for someone to come from one of the delivery services. I couldn't wait to leave. Our whole group felt the same and we are in our 40's not 80. I would classify this more of a sports bar rather than a tavern.
