Bucatini Carbonara with Garlic bread and marinara
Sarah A.

Mother-daughter dinner. We popped out to Nick's before the dinner rush. We were welcomed and seated quickly. We both love Italian food. It smelled heavenly in this place. They were already cranking to go pizza orders for the evening. We decided to start with the garlic bread with marinara. It was crispy with a tasty marinara for dipping. I went old school and ordered spaghetti with meatballs. What a treat! The meatballs are knife and fork worthy. I even had enough to bring home for lunch the next day. My daughter loves Carbonara so there was only one choice. The presentation was beautiful. The bucatini pasta studded with ham, bacon, and peas was swirled into a nest for the egg yolk on top. Pecorino Romano shaved across the top and a hint of mint provided the final layers of flavor. I would love to come back and try some of their other dishes.

I miss the olden days when they were open during lunch with their full menu. We returned for dinner post-COVID and noticed a decline in the quality that used to be there. We were greeted at the door and made our way to the bar where the bartender took his time to acknowledge us even though the space was completely empty except for one regular at the bar. I ordered a wine on tap and my husband got a beer while we looked over the shrunken menu. I ordered the pesto pasta that desperately needed salt and added some of their meatballs to the top, and my husband got a relatively flavorless sandwich (it doesn't appear to be on the menu anymore). While I'll always have good memories of what this used to be, the service was lacking and the food was missing seasoning and fell flat. If not for my husband's sandwich, I would've given their new sandwich shop a visit for lunch, but I don't think we'll be back.

Fun spot for a date night! Right next to CSU. We love their take on carbonara with a hint of mint. They're known for their burger and this was our first time trying it! Juicy and delicious with hand cut fries. Also tried the calamari which was delicious! I'm not usually a fan so this was a pleasant surprise. Solid contain and wine list, reservation recommend!

Really loved going to Nicks. Our waitress ironically named Nikki was amazing. Good happy hour deals and great food.

Italian was on the menu for dinner and let me just say it was not what we expected. The actual menu is pretty cut and dry with a few pasta dishes and pizza options. I liked the space and use of the restaurant. Service was alright, a bit slow, but our waitress was nice and got us everything we needed. The food is shockingly lackluster. All of the dishes were negligent of salt and really seasoning of any kind. Cheesy Bread. Honestly, this was the best thing we had. The bread was soft and had just the right amount of everything. That marinara was the bomb! Penne Pesto. A hefty serving, but lacking in pesto flavor and pretty dry all around. Lasagna. The sunday gravy was great, but they cooked it a little too long and there was hardly any ricotta to counter the lasagna noodles. And it was pretty small, like only two layers of lasagna noodles is not a lasagna. Chicken Picatta. Beautiful presentation, but again, was lacking in flavor and needed salt to get it going. All in all, with such a small menu you'd think the dishes would be perfection. Sadly, don't think I'll be stopping by again.

We originally planned to stay for happy hour, but ended up spending nearly three hours there because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Social is one of those rare places that completely lives up to the hype. From the moment you walk downstairs, the atmosphere transports you to another era. The speakeasy vibe is authentic without feeling gimmicky, and every detail has clearly been thoughtfully designed. It's a super cool speakeasy with a warm, inviting interior that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. We shared the charcuterie board, which was excellent, and enjoyed both the champagne and the bourbon. Everything was high quality and thoughtfully prepared. Ryan, our bartender, really made the experience special. He treated us exceptionally well, made us feel genuinely welcome, and provided outstanding service throughout the evening. What started as a plan to enjoy happy hour turned into one of the most enjoyable evenings we've had in a long time. It's the perfect place for a date night or simply a relaxing evening with exceptional food, outstanding cocktails, and an atmosphere that's second to none. We'll definitely be back now that we live here in Fort Collins. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience in Fort Collins, Social is an absolute must-visit. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing waitstaff - Katie--she was informative, helpful with additional questions regarding GF ingredients, great personality and excellent customer service! Appetizer- Calamari Fritti -- spicy perfect with Wine Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc Marlborough New Zealand.. a great match to tamper the spices of the calamari Main course- Halibut Veracruzana- substituted broccolini for cauliflower.. a slight Mediterranean style, sauce is butter salted; veggies (carrots al dente, broccolini crisp and a wee bit charred, capers) potatoes puréed perfectly. Halibut crisp on the outside..falls apart melts in your mouth. The addition of green olives adds the smidge of a salty, briny taste- perfect combination. Dessert- Pumpkin Panna Cotta with fall spice cranberries .. gf of course! Absolutely delightful, the perfect combination to end a meal. I had to mention a few items hubby selected (I mean he did make the reservation!). He did the filet/ medium rare. Melt in your mouth, perfectly cooked! He also had gf hazelnut chocolate tort with chocolate ice cream!!! It was light, creamy and delicious to the last bite (yes, I had a smidge of a taste)! I Found this Piadina purely by chance but it is one of those events that makes me believe in a higher power/divine plan. Met the owner himself and I have never met a man with more passion and heart. Before ordering I Received a fascinating brief lesson on Piadina (the flat bread used in their sandwiches) and learned not only does he make the bread himself every day but it's a recipe he brought over from Italy and dates back to the 1300s!!!! Which all makes sense because while I tried two different sandwiches the consistent star for both was the flat bread itself. A contradiction on the plate somehow both flat and fluffy, light but filling. I cannot stress enough how truly amazing this bread is. I ordered the Daniele which I forget the exact ingredients but I know had perfectly textured prosciutto in there, and also a caprese vegetarian option which just screamed fresh ingredients. I'm a pretty big eater so I was able to finish two by myself even thought I was going to save some for later but just walking around the cute old town Fort Collins eating antique recipe Italian flatbread was just too much fun. I know they have a truck that roams around Ft Collins doling delicious treats and will for sure now be one of my go to places!

This is a small, family owned restaurant right on the edge of the CSU campus. You get the homey, welcome feel when you enter. There were four of us and we all enjoy Italian food. Two of us shared a pizza and the other two got Chicken Parmigiana with spaghetti. The service and preparation of food was swift. Our glasses were kept topped off. And we all enjoyed our food. I truly enjoyed my meal and my wife truly hated the Eggplant Parm. When our waiter, "Jackson" asked (for the second time) how everything was, I told him the truth. The first time my wife didn't say anything. We did not expect him to comp our meal, of course, but he did bring us a dessert I'd never had before, "Local Tiramisu Gelato from Sub Zero", and boy, Howdy, was THAT ever good! I thought I had died and gone to heaven! The total, with tax, came to $44, not unusual in today's market, I suppose. My wife says she'll never go back, and mentioned something about wild horses. Given the circumstances, I probably won't either, but it won't be because of the food. Looking at their drink menu though, I'm glad I don't drink much anymore. The drinks averaged around $12. I suppose that, too, is not unusual, but I don't know. Beer was $8, with a dozen taps to choose from. I didn't. Water worked just fine with my chicken parm. If this sounds good to you, give a new restaurant a try!
