The food is exemplary; very much as dining in Italy. Served hot as prepared and very simple, very delicious! Our server was kind and excellent; giving us time to read the menu, knowledgable about the various dishes and helpful in our decisions. I have lived in FoCO over 20 plus years. I used to go to Domenics frequently at the old location. The new location does not have the same feel. It just isn't as appealing. You can't just drop in at happy hour and get a seat even at the bar. It's too bad this has changed. Now you have to always have a reservation even just for happy hour. They no longer even have a waitlist. Too bad. read more

Overall it was a nice experience. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is great. We ordered the duck and pork tenderloin. The duck was really great and juicy. The pork was good the first few bites, but dried out very quickly since it was pre sliced and cooked. It would be better and hold juices more if one piece and a less cooked. For dessert we did a tiramisu and espresso martini. The tiramisu was delicious. The martini was good (they do a not sweet version), but it is a pet peeve when martinis don't come nearly to the top. read more

I have been a few times to dine in, and it has been okay, probably three stars. Tonight we ordered a pizza, picked it up right away (it was not sitting), and the crust tasted stale. It was chewy and soggy at the same time. A pizza that is more than twice as much as Domino's should at least have better crust. The toppings are good quality, and the sauce is passable, but I will not be going back. read more

CUSTOMERS BEWARE!!!!!!!!!! I went to go check out Domenic's for lunch the very first time and it will be the LAST! My server was Makayla and she stole money from my debit card. The total transaction for my lunch was $27.55. I put $0.00 Tip on my debit card receipt because I gave my server Makayla a 20% cash tip ($7.00). See picture of my receipt. The transaction cleared my bank the next day for $32.55. Makayla added a UN-Authorized Tip for $5.00 on my debit card! I already gave her cash tip and she still tried to steal money from me. I went back to the restaurant the following business day and complained to the manager/owner name Ryan. Ryan ended up giving me the full refund for the $7 cash tip + the $5 unauthorized debit card tip. So, if you decided to go eat at this restaurant and Makayla was your server, you better check your bank account the next day. Again, BEWARE!! read more

I was sadden by my experience. My friend took me here because it's her favorite restaurant and while the drinks are good and the calamari or mediocre... Kind of rubbery. I was mostly saddened by the pizza that she expressed to be her favorite pizza and came out quite burnt. We told the waitress that it was burnt and while they offered to remake the pizza, we had already been there for quite some time and decided to try to eat the pizza. Each bite did taste burnt. And when she came to clear the plate, we had eaten less than half. We did pay full price for this pizza and we saw others with a pizza that was not burnt. I was sadden by the food and the interactions that occurred this evening. read more

The new location is amazing and they've revamped the menu to boot! Great bar area. I've been to the new location twice and both times we had excellent servers. We'll be back again very soon! I started with a delicious chicken noodle soup with yummy house bread to soak up the broth. Braciole was the word tonight. Beef, prosciutto, roasted garlic and mozzarella. Melt in your mouth over creamy Yukon mashed. Prepared perfectly. Wife had the mussels and thoroughly enjoyed them. Really attractive place. My friend and I sat at the bar for a glass of wine. Had to wait a bit before being asked for our order. Once we got our wine we were never spoken to again until our glasses were empty and the bartender asked if we wanted a refill. No one checked if we needed more water (unfortunately the glasses are opaque so no way to tell if they're empty, without asking), or wanted to order food, or even how we liked the wine. I've been a fan for years, but they have really upped their game in their new location, just a few feet from the old one. Try the Parmesan Crusted Scallops ( lightly crispy on the outside, smooth and buttery on the outside) and the Shrimp and Grits which was surprisingly complex and flavorful. Don't skip dessert. The tiramisu is not to be missed. The servers are professional and attentive. read more

Made a reservation for my husband's birthday 6 days in advance. When we arrived, we were placed at a table for two right next to the front door, which meant we were constantly surrounded by people getting to the bar, wait persons squeezing by with trays, and the freakin' noise is awful. I wanted to run out of there because it was overwhelming. The chaos, the noise, and the fact that I had specified a special occasion that was completely ignored really upset me. It was weird there was no chianti offered (Italian restaurant) and the only bread available was in an appetizer. We had to yell at each other to be heard. Why do restaurants do this????? On the other hand, the service was excellent, the wines we ordered were really good (particularly the Sangiovese), and the food was very, very good. Arancini small plate was excellent. House salad was very good. My husband loved the lasagna. We ordered the honey marscapone cheesecake for a dessert, which was not offered, even though I had specified in the reservation it was a birthday. It was tasty. The crust was quite tough and better dealt with using fingers rather than utensils. Since they moved the atmosphere has changed a lot and I wish I would have known this prior to making our reservation. As I said, the food is great, but even with good service, I didn't feel appreciated as a customer. Bummer. read more

Great food and drinks. The only constructive feedback I have is the wait staff congregating at the corner of the bar chatting as opposed to waiting on the customers. They recently moved around the corner to a larger space. They have always been my favorite restaurant in Fort Collins. Their risotto is consistently good, a rare treat most places I have been. ( best dish we had) Carpachio was well presented but overwhelming tasting of white truffle and tiny portion Hallibut $50 nicely presented! Tiny pice of Hallibut that was tasting super fishy and this was a Chef special!! To many conflicting flavors. Super salty, creamy with a simple asian sweet chilly sause (Mae Ploy) That ruins it. Very disappointing. Risotto $36, nicely presented but no flavour what so ever. Fealt like esting a mush of things you couldnt put a finger on. Dinner for two with 3 drinks and a glass of wine $200. Dominics has been a family favorite for decades, but Thursday night was decidedly underwhelming. I don't know if it was the mussels appetizer or the thoroughly ridiculous chicken piccata but about two hours afterward I got very sick. That chicken piccata was itself an embarassment. A blackened chunk of something and if there ever a semblance of chicken in there it didn't survive the deep frier. I'm looking forward to much better in the future. read more

The Chicken Franchaise was good but might need to be grilled the chicken some before adding the sauce. Margherita pizza was filling; similar to a deep dish. MUST HAVE: the Mascarpone cheesecake. The side Caesar salad was fresh, the dressing was tasty and had a little hint if a kick to it. The croutons were fresh but a bit too salty and too buttery tasting. This is my second time at Domenics. Food is very good but service and overall experience was poor both times. First time we were told there was a limit on how long we could stay as we did not have a reservation. We barely finished our meal and felt we were rushed to finish. This evening our server checked 3x to see if our credit cards were in the folder so she could cash us out and we could leave. This time we had a reservation. The reservation website gives you 90 minutes if a party of less than 4. We were two and barely at the hour mark. We felt pushed out, not welcomed and had not finished drinking our 1 glass of wine. Not acceptable to treat paying patrons this way. The ambience is loud and not comfortable to even hear the specials being read. The service is harried and one can tell the servers are rushed to get them in and get them out. My recommendation is to get a bigger place so you can accommodate the masses $$ you wish to have and then maybe you will treat your customers with more respect. read more

What a great experience! I popped in for lunch and my expectations were beat! The waiter was working all the tables and the bar himself but doing a great job. The soup of the day was a cold watermelon mango soup "with a little kick". It came with fresh watermelon in it as well and was delicious. It could have even had more kick but I like things spicy and it did have as described a little kick. On a hot day like today it really hit the spot. I had the Cuban sandwich and it was also fantastic. Slow roasted pork that was tender, great layering and lots of cheese which I love. The bread was nicely toasted from the oven but no hard. I ate everything and really enjoyed it. I didn't have any since I was headed back to work but they also have a great scotch selection which you don't often find. It's not just Johnny Walker. They had a number of great scotches. Glenfiddich and Oban being standouts. read more
