My girlfriend and I went to Social for happy hour and appetizers about a week ago and had an absolutely wonderful time. We originally planned to stay for happy hour, but ended up spending nearly three hours there because we were enjoying ourselves so much. Social is one of those rare places that completely lives up to the hype. From the moment you walk downstairs, the atmosphere transports you to another era. The speakeasy vibe is authentic without feeling gimmicky, and every detail has clearly been thoughtfully designed. It's a super cool speakeasy with a warm, inviting interior that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. We shared the charcuterie board, which was excellent, and enjoyed both the champagne and the bourbon. Everything was high quality and thoughtfully prepared. Ryan, our bartender, really made the experience special. He treated us exceptionally well, made us feel genuinely welcome, and provided outstanding service throughout the evening. What started as a plan to enjoy happy hour turned into one of the most enjoyable evenings we've had in a long time. It's the perfect place for a date night or simply a relaxing evening with exceptional food, outstanding cocktails, and an atmosphere that's second to none. This is the place where homeowners with golden retrievers go to feel edgy. Sexy, classy night life vibes amidst trashy college bars. I don't love cocktails and their food menu is sparse, but if you want to impress a date or treat yourself to tasteful drinking, it's a nice place. Sometimes if you sit at the bar, there are annoying strangers who ask you to explain your thoughts on America's involvement in Iran. Our server, Evelyn, was friendly, attentive, and helpful, she offered solid recommendations when we had questions about the menu. The drink list was creative, with some unusual ingredients that actually worked really well. Everything we tried was balanced and well made and best of all delicious. Service was quick, even though the place was busy. There's plenty of seating, but it's a bit tight in spots. The noise level was up there, mostly just from the number of people, but we could still talk without shouting. Restrooms were clean, which is always appreciated. The highlight for us was the limoncello cheesecake... easily one of the best desserts we've had in a while. Social gives off speakeasy vibes without the password and hidden door aspects. I was surprised that at 9:30pm on a Saturday there was hardly a wait at all. It's very spacious with a range of different seating types. I'm so glad we opted to sit at the bar. Sarah was our bartender and she was amazing!! She was helpful with her recommendations and was all around just a really sweet person with amazing energy. She recommended two drinks in particular-- Hollywoo Sunset and Good at Goodbyes. We ordered one and she said she would make us a mini taster of the one we did not choose. She had extremely reliable tastebuds because we ultimately ordered the sample as well. What a fun find! Being in a college town, and in the heart of downtown, it was a nice change of pace as the main crowd was a little older. I loved that it was quiet enough to have a conversation with everyone and there was a good selection of wine and drinks. Zach was great about steering us on both cocktails and food, not only for what was best, but also what would keep me well (gluten free). He was so kind, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. You have wonderful choices for craft cocktails -- and they aren't batch made. There are a number of botanically infused simple syrups for the cocktails. Mine had thyme infused simple and it was ..... simply delicious. It's a small plate place, which we love. My daughter and I split the burrata salad, which was delicious, and came with chickpea crackers for me -- they actually had flavor! We also split the small charcuterie board, and ceviche, both of which were very well done. She topped it off with their already gluten-free brownie, which was absolutely off the chain. Absolutely awesome. Like literally everything. My family and I were here for CSU admitted students weekend. Go Rams! And social was highly recommended. It did not disappoint. I was there with my wife and a daughter. And I just have to say that Zach B, our waiter was one of the best we have ever had. He was so efficient and attentive. one of the wines we got wasn't to our liking not that it was bad but he recommended and gave us some samples of the other ones to try. He was always available and very mindful of anything that was running low on the table. My daughter had an amazing mocktail that was also recommended by Zach. All in all one of the best experiences we've had in Fort Collins and we just absolutely love it here so we find that kind of a tough thing to beat. Horrible experience from the outside. Had a group of 8 for a bachelorette party and waited over 30 minutes on the street. Given the initial estimate for a table was "could be now or could be 10 minutes". Meanwhile they let in 8 or more people from behind our group. When I asked about how much longer it would be the manager came up and said "we don't know when we'll accommodate you but you'll get in eventually" after waiting a long time without any update and many groups behind us being allowed in first. Wish we got to see inside but didn't even have the pleasure. Poor experience overall and poor accommodating from the staff to ensure they kept our business. Ended up leaving after 40 minutes of waiting with no end in sight or update on the reservation. N had been talking about this place for AGES. He had read that it was "the best cocktail bar in the country." This, we had to see. I'm from Manhattan, and he's from Miami. We know cocktail bars. So we decided to make the trek to Fort Collins. After a lovely late lunch at Blue Agave Grill, we walked over to Social. There wasn't a line today, and we walked right in. This place is gorgeous. Lots of wood, low lighting, different seating options. We snagged a small booth, which fortunately turned out to be in the amazing Savannah's section. We had perused the cocktail menu prior to actually visiting, but took another look and then ordered. Oooh. Cocktails are generous and beautifully presented. Savannah's bubbly, friendly personality was a bonus! Really wonderful service, which always adds to a great experience. We felt coddled. She is extremely knowledgeable about the menu, as well as various liquors. We were discussing mezcal, and she brought us tiny samples of one to try. We had two drinks each, and two small plates, because these are not stingy drinks, and we had a long drive back. We love this place so much that we told Savannah that we'd like to stay in town some night so that we could fully enjoy Social, and she suggested the Elizabeth. At some point, Morgan, the manager, came over to check on us. Upon hearing that it was our first visit, she treated us to small glasses of champagne. We, jaded connoisseurs of NYC and Miami hotspots, thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. Social's reputation is very well-deserved. And worth the long, long trek from the south Denver suburbs. Really cute speakeasy bar. My friends & I went for a New Year's toast. The ambiance is very inviting with cool lighting. Ample seating throughout the space including booths, high top tables, & an intimate bar seating space. They have about 30 pages of a variety of libations in addition to a few select mocktails. They even have some food and light bite options. Street parking is right out front but can fill up quick. Highly recommend this place if you're in the Fort Collins area and want to get together with friends in the evening. The server was really kind and helpful. read more

From the friendly greeting at the front door, the extraordinary service by Julia and Zack, the masterfully created drinks by bartender Emily, and the delicious pasta dish made by chef Isaac - the experience left nothing to be desired. The social has to be one of my favorite places to grab a bougie cocktail in Fort Collins. Some may use the term speakeasy and I would say that adequately sums up the vibe. While there is technically a sign, you really have to be looking for it in order to spot it. And here's a tip: look for the clock. Depending on the time of day that you go, there may be a small wait but I think it's well worth it. I stood out in below 30° weather last time I was there and didn't get frostbite so you'll be just fine. When it's your turn to go in, you'll be able to experience the dark and mysterious allure that the social boasts. As for the cocktails, there are standard ones and seasonal ones, hot ones and cold ones, alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties. I like to try new ones every time that I'm there and my partner and I tend to switch our drinks so we can try even more of a variety. It would be hard for me to recommend just one because there are so many good ones depending on the type of alcohol you like. This wonderful establishment also offers food. Think tapas and charcuterie boards. They also have a selection of desserts. While we didn't have the regular food, we did have a peanut-butter pie that was amazing. The other food that we did see coming out of the kitchen looked absolutely fantastic and we regretted having dinner first. As always, I did a bathroom check and they were very clean, offering men's, women's, and gender neutral bathrooms. The only drawback to this wonderful place is the fact that things are on the pricier end. However, if you are willing to spend $10-$15 on an artisanal, hand crafted cocktail, trying to impress a date, or looking for a more sophisticated atmosphere, I would highly recommend this establishment. read more
