Our server, Evelyn, was friendly, attentive, and helpful, she offered solid recommendations when we had questions about the menu. Service was quick, even though the place was busy. There's plenty of seating, but it's a bit tight in spots. The noise level was up there, mostly just from the number of people, but we could still talk without shouting. Restrooms were clean, which is always appreciated. The highlight for us was the limoncello cheesecake... easily one of the best desserts we've had in a while. What a fun find! Being in a college town, and in the heart of downtown, it was a nice change of pace as the main crowd was a little older. It's very spacious with a range of different seating types. I'm so glad we opted to sit at the bar. Sarah was our bartender and she was amazing!! She was helpful with her recommendations and was all around just a really sweet person with amazing energy. She recommended two drinks in particular-- Hollywoo Sunset and Good at Goodbyes. Absolutely awesome. Like literally everything. My family and I were here for CSU admitted students weekend. Go Rams! And social was highly recommended. It did not disappoint. I was there with my wife and a daughter. And I just have to say that Zach B, our waiter was one of the best we have ever had. He was so efficient and attentive. one of the wines we got wasn't to our liking not that it was bad but he recommended and gave us some samples of the other ones to try. He was always available and very mindful of anything that was running low on the table. My daughter had an amazing mocktail that was also recommended by Zach. All in all one of the best experiences we've had in Fort Collins and we just absolutely love it here so we find that kind of a tough thing to beat. He was so kind, and knowledgeable about everything on the menu. You have wonderful choices for craft cocktails -- and they aren't batch made. Ample seating throughout the space including booths, high top tables, & an intimate bar seating space. They have about 30 pages of a variety of libations in addition to a few select mocktails. N had been talking about this place for AGES. He had read that it was "the best cocktail bar in the country." This, we had to see. I'm from Manhattan, and he's from Miami. We know cocktail bars. So we decided to make the trek to Fort Collins. After a lovely late lunch at Blue Agave Grill, we walked over to Social. There wasn't a line today, and we walked right in. This place is gorgeous. Lots of wood, low lighting, different seating options. We snagged a small booth, which fortunately turned out to be in the amazing Savannah's section. We had perused the cocktail menu prior to actually visiting, but took another look and then ordered. Oooh. Cocktails are generous and beautifully presented. Savannah's bubbly, friendly personality was a bonus! Really wonderful service, which always adds to a great experience. We felt coddled. She is extremely knowledgeable about the menu, as well as various liquors. We were discussing mezcal, and she brought us tiny samples of one to try. We had two drinks each, and two small plates, because these are not stingy drinks, and we had a long drive back. We love this place so much that we told Savannah that we'd like to stay in town some night so that we could fully enjoy Social, and she suggested the Elizabeth. At some point, Morgan, the manager, came over to check on us. Upon hearing that it was our first visit, she treated us to small glasses of champagne. We, jaded connoisseurs of NYC and Miami hotspots, thoroughly enjoyed our evening here. Social's reputation is very well-deserved. And worth the long, long trek from the south Denver suburbs. The social has to be one of my favorite places to grab a bougie cocktail in Fort Collins. Some may use the term speakeasy and I would say that adequately sums up the vibe. While there is technically a sign, you really have to be looking for it in order to spot it. And here's a tip: look for the clock. Depending on the time of day that you go, there may be a small wait but I think it's well worth it. I stood out in below 30° weather last time I was there and didn't get frostbite so you'll be just fine. When it's your turn to go in, you'll be able to experience the dark and mysterious allure that the social boasts. As for the cocktails, there are standard ones and seasonal ones, hot ones and cold ones, alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties. I like to try new ones every time that I'm there and my partner and I tend to switch our drinks so we can try even more of a variety. It would be hard for me to recommend just one because there are so many good ones depending on the type of alcohol you like. This wonderful establishment also offers food. Think tapas and charcuterie boards. They also have a selection of desserts. While we didn't have the regular food, we did have a peanut-butter pie that was amazing. The other food that we did see coming out of the kitchen looked absolutely fantastic and we regretted having dinner first. As always, I did a bathroom check and they were very clean, offering men's, women's, and gender neutral bathrooms. The only drawback to this wonderful place is the fact that things are on the pricier end. However, if you are willing to spend $10-$15 on an artisanal, hand crafted cocktail, trying to impress a date, or looking for a more sophisticated atmosphere, I would highly recommend this establishment. read more
