Great spot in Windsor. It was packed on a Friday night, definitely suggest a reservation. We waited about 40 min for two of us without reservations. We started with the Cheese Curds - these were great, the breading on the curds had really good flavor. Would order again. For entrees we ordered; bacon avocado burger - their burgers are huge, and a lot of great flavor. Would definitely order again Cup of bison chili - chunks of bison meat in the chili and was a nice portion. The flavor is good, I'm glad I tried it and would order again. Moody blue salad - this salad was big and packed full of goodies, it was the best salad I've had in a long time. The balsamic dressing was so good, mixed with the candied pecans and blue cheese, so good! I'd come back simply for this salad. Our server was a little spread thin and had tables on opposite sides of the restaurant, so we felt a little neglected, but when he was around, service was great. We've been here a couple times before and food and service was always good. It was our one year anniversary since we met here we wanted to celebrate here. Our waitress Kaitlyn took our order @ 6:23 for a bottle of wine and a crab cake for starters. Then we ordered house soup and salad so we could get dinner quickly. The wine was good and the crab cake was good. I'm in the habit of watching people come in after me to see when they get their order. The people in front of us came in approximately 10 minutes after us, the couple beside us came in a little later and the older couple came in after them. Yes we ordered before the out three couples and they had a different waitress. Kaitlyn came by a couple times to let us know our order would be out soon. The first couple got their meal, then the couple beside us got their meal. At 7:30 the couple beside us finished their dinner and Kaitlyn came by and said again "our meal would be up soon". It's just a bowl of soup and a salad, what was so hard about our order. So we cancelled our dinner with Kaitlyn. So who is to blame for us not getting dinner? We went to Windsor Mill Tavern Saturday Evening, 6th of December and we absolutely LOVE it! The staff seems to love their jobs, the service is amazing and the food is delicious and comforting. I had the delicious crab cake appetizer and Salmon in Beurre Blanc Sauce and my husband had the Fried Cheese Curds and Stuffed Pork chop. Both absolutely delicious. Best Mashed potatoes I have ever had. This was our second time at Windsor Mill Tavern and we love the warm Irish Pub Style atmosphere. Only thing missing is a fireplace! This is our new favorite hangout after having moved here to Severance, Co this past March. We love it. Oh! And the seats are comfortable as well. We will be back. When in the Greeley area, I was hungry for lunch and found Windsor Mill Tavern via Yelp. Fun little place! It's in the basement of a building -- so it took me a few minutes to fugue out how to enter the place. I sat at the bar, and my bartender was great. I started with a cream of chicken soup -- it was excellent, and I wish I had ordered a bowl instead of a cup. : ) For my main course, I ordered the steak bites with mashed potatoes. The steak was ok -- some pieces were pretty chewy -- but I ate most of it and enjoyed the mashed potatoes a lot. Total bill -- with tip -- was $40. Having been here many times in the past this visit was a bit of a disappointment. The good news is they still have Juicy Bits (NEHIPA) on tap. Curious news is they only have 1 white wine, in this case Pinot Grigio, on happy hour. . The bad news concerned dinner. I've always ordered the curried mussels appetizer with the soup of the day. Before it was prepped with yellow Urey and was delicious. This time it was either red curry but more likely sriracha and it was hot ... TOO DAMN HOT in my opinion. Wasn't an enjoyable meal at all yet it was still described on the menu as yellow curry. It even looked different than times past. Perhaps a one off as we'll try it again. What a great place! Tucked into the property with several other restaurants in downtown Windsor. Built in the style of an Irish pub the ambiance is so cool. Plenty of space for guests and diners. I had the Bangers and Mash, a perfect Irish fare. My wife had the Cowboy burger and had to bring half home. Our friend had the Bison Philly and it filled the plate. Try the bourbon bread pudding too. All of the staff from initial greeting to servers to food runners were all very nice. Food was good, fresh, not greasy and served hot which is nice. Nice variety in food and drink options. Wish more restaurants would have runners for just bringing out food while it's hot. Prices were very reasonable, brunch was pleasant, decor was cool with the large wooden beams and old building. First time at Windsor Mill Tavern - it was recommended by a friend and we took them at their word. There were a few positives: The hot buttered rum was amazing and a great way to open the meal. The deviled eggs were a delicious appetizer. Finally, the creme brûlée was perfect. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience was generally pretty awful: The restaurant is filled with bar stool height chairs. Not really comfortable for short folks or people with any lower limb issues. There was a single table with normal seating - thank heavens that table happened to be available. The sirloin was the texture of shoe leather. It was ordered medium rare - emphasis on rare - so it was not an issue of overcooking. Very disappointing since we live in beef country. The mashed potatoes arrived at room temperature. The replacement was also at room temperature. I figured that "third time's a charm", so I tried again. The next replacement was just a bit warmer than room temp - certainly NOT hot. Tepid potatoes are pretty unappetizing. The broccoli arrived equally cold - might as well have been on a veggie & cheese plate. The replacement was at least warm enough to eat, but also not hot. Finally, there was no offering of a water refill, despite the obviously empty glass on the table. All of this for $90. Perhaps folks looking for "bar food" will find what they are looking for - we did not partake of that part of the menu. Needless to say, we shan't return. read more

We started with some cocktails & beers, as well as ordered some appetizers for the table (cheese curds & boneless Buffalo wings)-- everything was very good. For dinner, we ordered the crispy chicken sandwich (table favorite), the Meatloaf (came out on the colder side) and the Cottage Pie (cold & not much flavor). A very cool place. It's a little loud and not really for kids (we brought ours, assuming there were kids options, oops), but it's a cool tavern with very good food. My husband got the tri tip sandwich and fries, I got the chicken and Parmesan risotto, and both of us loved our dishes so much. My chicken breast was perfectly cooked, moist and juicy. The risotto was cooked well with no crunchy or chewy bits. The goat cheese and sundried tomatoes worked really well, and I don't even like goat cheese. My daughter got a half order of chicken fingers and garlicky green beans, which she ate most of. Drinks were good, prices were good. We'll be back. read more
