    Buffalo Oysters.

Fast service and the seating was alright. I went for the oysters of course. Which did not taste at all what I feared like but were pretty good fried food. It was just a nice quick meal and I'm glad I stopped by.

My kind of Bar. Completely unpretentious, an island of sanity.......aaaannnddd.....serving Mountain Oysters as their special. With cocktail sauce of course. These are sliced glands, aka, bull testicles, deep fried, served with French fries. Typical harvested in cattle country where bulls must be converted to steers for a wide variety of reasons associated with beef. They are very tender and have almost no flavor, so the fry coating flavor is important. I found it rather bland, and had to rely on liberal dipping into the cocktail sauce. Ambiance is Real Modern Western Bar. Service is.....exactly what I expected: efficient but not enthusiastic. They're workin' folks, and don't have time to wear happy faces to make you feel good.

I came here twice in September 2020 & August 2021 to try Rocky Mountain Oysters. They came with fries with a dip very similar to cocktail sauce. I actually remembered these ones tasting quite a bit like fried calamari. I have found a better place in Fort Collins (The Colorado Room), and their's had more flavor and tasted like fried liver. This place is also a bar, and it's quite similar to the restaurant-bars you would find in Wyoming.

This is a nice bar that I think is somewhat of a biker bar but I've lived in colorado for damn near a decade & had never tried bull nuts. I tried the rocky mtn oysters & they were great, & we sat outside on the patio & slammed cold ass beers & dined on bull testicles. Inside folks were seated at the bar right next to each other & it reminded me of what times were like before the fake ass chinese kung flu virus. Pretty quick table service & wait staff from what I noticed, didnt have to wait much at all when I needed another ice cold beer. I sure as fuck would & most likely will come back here again & try some more shit from their menu cause Im sure its all really tasty, so we're gonna eventually find out how good everything else is

Being celiac, it's difficult to find restaurants in small towns that offer gf food so we were really excited. First impressions when walking in was it was a cute, clean, welcoming atmosphere with a beautiful bar, pool tables and football games on tv. Now to the menu...wow! The options were amazing! I have never had chicken and waffles and was so excited so I ordered them (I got a half portion which was more like a 1/4 portion...so I'll order the full next time). All the food is made to order so it takes a little longer to get your meal but it is definitely worth it! The waffle was crisp but soft, the chicken was beautifully breaded and was so moist when the bacon jam was a perfect addition! The maple syrup was warm and sticky and perfect. My friend ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and commented that the tomato tasted like it came out of her grandmas garden. The fries were perfectly crispy and not soggy at all. The owners husband was amazing and shared awesome things about how they source the food, how they bring their heritage into the restaurant and recipes. He and his family are all gluten free and he cooks like he wants to eat! The only thing I'd recommend (and if you're celiac, you should already know) is to simply reiterate that you are celiac as some menu items aren't gf. We will purposely be driving through Ault again, just to go to Ugly Pony!

We started with the Cheese Curds - these were great, the breading on the curds had really good flavor. Would order again. Would definitely order again Cup of bison chili - chunks of bison meat in the chili and was a nice portion. The flavor is good, I'm glad I tried it and would order again. Moody blue salad - this salad was big and packed full of goodies, it was the best salad I've had in a long time. The balsamic dressing was so good, mixed with the candied pecans and blue cheese, so good! I'd come back simply for this salad. Our server was a little spread thin and had tables on opposite sides of the restaurant, so we felt a little neglected, but when he was around, service was great. Just had to wait for long periods of time for water/drink refills. Overall, glad we stumbled upon this place and will definitely come back again.

It lacked the acidity and seasoning that I like...I also had the New England clam chowder which was meh...and it was luke warm.
