It was our first meal in CO and it did not disappoint. 5 years later my wife and I celebrated our 16th anniversary shooting some pool and eating our favorite burgers. The Western is the go to but Think I'll try the Poutine burger next. Always a good time here. Please keep it up. You have my business at least once a week.

My wife's The Dayna was much enjoyed, although we think using pickled jalapenos would make it even better. She also liked her shoestring fries. Neither one of us could think of a better burger in Loveland, including Red Robin and the now-gone Smashburger. We were served by a girl and a guy; both were friendly and did a good job. I like that they have a couple of traditional felt dart boards, and if the burgers weren't enough, the dart boards might just draw us back. The only thing that we disliked was walking through strong cigarette smoke right outside the door. Other than that, A-OK!

The ambiance is really nice -- I enjoyed the speakeasy-type theme, and the fact that they have a record selection you can ask the bartender to play. These are actual records, with a lot of classics in the mix. The bartender was efficient and friendly, so no issues on staff. Honestly, the restaurant, ambiance, and service were all top notch -- level five. Happy hour cocktails were reasonably priced, and honestly that's the sweet spot here -- come in for nice cocktails at happy hour prices. I also had a couple off their specialty menu; solid drinks, but at $15 a pop they add up fast. I'd suggest getting in early, though crowding didn't seem to be an issue -- it still wasn't busy when we left about an hour and a half after sitting down. My bigger gripe was the food. Loaded tater tots (happy hour) -- fine. The ketchup and ranch that came with them were actually really, really good -- the sauces were the highlight. The tots just needed slightly longer in the fryer. Not undercooked exactly, they just wanted to fall apart and didn't hold up, which made for a messy plate you basically needed a fork or spoon for. Green goddess salad, $15 -- the biggest letdown. We were looking for something lighter since we weren't trying to get full, and on paper this looked really good -- but it didn't deliver. Way too lightly dressed for the arugula, and there wasn't much flavor unless you happened to get a piece of fruit, a piece of cheese, and the arugula all in one bite. It needed crunch -- some candied pecans or another nut would've been really nice -- and just more dressing in general. Too dry, and lacking something. Fifteen dollars for essentially some arugula, and the two of us only got through half of it. Other than that, the experience was pretty solid. Would recommend, and would return.

Honestly the road going up is pretty curvy and definitely dark after the sun sets, so I'm super glad we had the shuttle. The outside deck for dinner has a great ambiance right there on the river. However, the inside bar and eating area felt like a greenhouse (albeit, we've been suffering from 100+ temps for awhile now). During concerts, they don't have their indoor bathrooms available; only the use of porter poties outside, but I will say they were nicer/cleaner than I expected. They had plenty of bars open during the concert, so there was never really much of a line, which was great! The space is in the middle of a canyon right by the river and a very unique and exclusive experience that you don't see every day. People sat in the astroturf beforehand and between sets, but everyone stood/danced during the show. There aren't many seats - just in the VIP areas. Certainly an overall cool experience!

There were also some questionable touches throughout the outdoor dining setup. Silverware was already grouped in bulk in the center for multiple guests to grab, along with condiments that appeared to have been sitting outside in the sun all day. Combined with being served moldy vegetables, it gave the overall impression that food handling and quality control simply aren't major priorities here. I understand that people primarily come to the Mishawaka for the setting and live music, and that part is obviously the attraction. But being a music venue shouldn't mean accepting noticeably lower standards from the restaurant. Music over food, and they seem to know it. You come for the tunes, but you may even leave with a stronger stomach.

We were especially excited to discover a great nearby restaurant that welcomes puppies. Several other guests had their dogs with them, too, which made for such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. We ordered the Thai Shrimp Bowl and the Fish & Chips, and both were fantastic. And if you love peaches, you definitely need to check out their Peach Menu! The peach drinks were delicious, especially the one made with cream rum and nutmeg--it was amazing! We were so full after dinner that we brought a few of the desserts home with us, and we're definitely glad we did! What a wonderful find!
