I'm still kicking myself for not snapping photos when the food hit the table because every dish that came out was absolutely picture perfect. The presentation alone deserved its own spotlight, with vibrant colors, thoughtful plating, and that "don't touch it yet, just admire it" kind of appeal. The salmon panang curry was hands down my favorite. The salmon was perfectly cooked tender, flaky, and rich sitting in a velvety panang curry sauce that balanced creamy coconut with just the right amount of heat. The flavors were bold but beautifully harmonious, with a depth that made every bite better than the last. It's the kind of dish you immediately start planning to order again before you've even finished it. The tonkotsu miso soup was equally impressive. The broth was luxuriously rich and full-bodied, with that slow-simmered depth you hope for in a great tonkotsu. The miso added a savory complexity that made the whole bowl incredibly comforting. Every spoonful felt warming and satisfying perfect for an Anchorage evening. Beyond the food itself, the overall experience was wonderful. When a restaurant manages to combine stunning presentation with flavors that truly deliver, it stands out and RickShaw absolutely delivers. I'll definitely be back... and next time, I won't forget the photos.

Lovely smaller restaurant that feels person and at home feeling! Food was delicious and the service was so one on one throughout the whole dinner! Prices were average and comparable to other places. We spend about $62 for all of our food and left full and happy.

I came here for the Ramen, but ended up with a different Yummy lunch. Korean bbq pork & orange chicken. The pork was a bit cold....Super basic but done completely right. The service was great. You could tell staff was genuinely concerned about making sure we were happy. I don't have anything to say bad about the place except their 7-11 gas station style bathroom. It's hideous. But this is also typical for homegrown restaurants in anchortown. I think the area deserves a step up in the atmosphere for eatablshments here, but it must be hard to do for some reason. Excellent place. Just tell them Josh sent you to wash the bathroom and the windows.

I tend to think "It's a good meal, when I forget to take photos" I had plans to see a movie close by, I love Thai food, so I decided to give Rickshaw a try. I am happy that I did. The menu: small but mighty - I don't know if this is a popular opinion, but I prefer a smaller menu that is packed with great items rather than a larger menu that has a lot of fair items. Rickshaws menu is small. My husband and I ordered 3 things and all were great. We ordered the lumpia Filipino egg rolls, the spicy chicken ka prow, and the Thai yellow curry with chicken. The vibe: very laidback atmosphere, open kitchen concept, and open airy dining area. The staff: pleasant and helpful Overall, I will definitely visit Rickshaw again, probably for takeout. I was thoroughly impressed by the spicy chicken ka prow.

I only ordered take out here. And in the last month or so, I ordered take out three times. Everything I ordered which were the ramen miso, khao soi and spicy drunken noodle with pork were delicious and flavorful. Even though it was take out, the food was well packaged. The favor is authentic Asian food. Each of what I ordered had depth and the right favoring to it. It is in a little strip mall; glad I found it. The interior for whenever I came in seemed nice enough. Not a romantic upscale place but cute, clean place to go out. Food always prepared promptly whenever I ordered, good portion and price very reasonably. Would recommend and will come back.

Rickshaw is INCREDIBLE! I would recommend this place all day every day bar none and I don't say that about many places. This is the place you come to with a small group of friends or for a cozy date. It's a small place so keep that in mind. Please try their lemonades, you will thank me later. The flavors in their food that they're working with will keep you coming back for more. Service is friendly and they give you your space.

What a gem! At first-- I didn't know they were opened until I physically checked inside. Quick service from a friendly greeting to table, given a menu, ordered, and food prepared in a very timely manner. Restaurant hours have changed as of February 1 and they are open till 9pm now! The menu appeared to be focused on a lot of the favorite/popular Asian dishes by American standard. Well thought out. I'm hoping for an expansion maybe? I ordered Fresh Rolls with Shrimp and the Ramen Tonkatsu Miso Noodle Soup and both dishes were very satisfyingly delicious. Fresh rolls were of a good size and filling amount. Each bite was tasty when paired with 3 different dipping sauces (salty, peanut, spicy). The ramen was comparable in taste to the ramen spot downtown (well almost). Minus the ambiance and costs. The toppings were delectable especially the chashu pork slices, nice and tender, salty, and melted in my mouth. Decent prices for the quality of food served! I was tempted to order the curry fried rice with pork to-go! Perhaps add in a variety drink menu in the near future? I'll need to come back to try more on the menu!

The Khao Soi is one of the best dishes I have ever had! I love it so much that we went back another time just for the Khao Soi. The soup was very flavorful, the noodles perfect, the chicken was just falling off the bone. The accompaniments of pickled radish, onions, were so authentic and delicious! The curry fried rice was good, but the Khao soi was excellent!! Highly highly recommend!

Decided to try Rickshaw tonight for the first time, checked the menu online - it wasn't huge, but there were decidedly Asian-fusion offerings, of which i found a few tempting. The reviews are great, which always draws me in. Dining room was empty when we got there, but i get hangry if i don't eat at 5 on the dot. It's an uncluttered space, very clean looking, and modern. There's a big TV on the wall, and 80's songs were playing. As I'm not a fan of loads of art on the walls, i did like the spacious open feel. A server told us to sit wherever we'd like, and immediately came with iced water, and to take a drinks order. I opted for the drink I'd seen a picture of, (Kale cucumber lemonade) and really, i only ordered it because i was intrigued, and it's a really pretty colour, i told my husband, if i don't like it, and it's too vegetably, I'm stealing some of your Thai iced tea, he said that was fine. So you can see from my pictures, it's quite a pretty, and vivid green. Let me tell you, it is THE best thing I've drank in years. Don't let the green colour, or the name fool you, it's very lemonade-forward, first and foremost, the kale and cucumber are supporting players, and add a green vegetal note. The cucumber is slightly more detectable than the kale, but they are there, lurking at the back of the perfectly sweetened lemonade. When i took my first sip, my eyes went wide, and i said "Wow, that's delicious!" I pretty much guzzled it thereafter. I ordered Curry fried rice with chicken, and he went for Pad Thai, with an appetizer of gyoza/potstickers. The gyoza came out super quickly, with the dipping sauce which had scallions floating in it. They were piping hot, and you could tell they'd been freshly cooked. Definitely not Ling-Ling. They were nice thin wrappers, well stuffed, with excellently seasoned filling that paired perfectly with the dipping sauce. I had 3, and let him have 5. Pretty much immediately we'd finished the gyoza, the entrees came out, and my Curry Fried Rice was an enormous plate (just hand me a to go box now, cos there's no way i can eat it all) It's liberally studded with peas, broccoli, chicken, and those were just the things i could visually identify. Excellent flavour, chicken was moist and perfectly seasoned. His Pad Thai appeared smaller than my Fried Rice, but was a normal sized portion of food, when combined with an appetizer. He pronounced it tasted very good, but could have done with maybe a few more noodles. I didn't taste it - i don't like Pad Thai. But i was highly enamored with my Fried Rice. Service was prompt, and with a smile, the food came out very quickly, and was delicious, as were the drinks. I would have no hesitation in returning, and recommending this as a great place to dine.

Food was good but not good enough given the simplistic menu and what you might gain from another Anchorage Thai spot. The service was friendly and dining area was clean. Had the spicy Chicken and the curry fried rice, both were good. The egg rolls were bland and cigar sized. More options on the menu would open up some real possibilities for a flavor adventure. This spot is a solid 3.5.

The food smelled so good! The Khao Soi is a must order!!! Pad See Ew noodles were thinner than I had hoped, but the veggies were cooked perfectly.

We didn't even know if it was open, just walking around mid-town looking for a place to eat with my colleagues. Stumbled on this little gem. It's industrial Asian flare interior decor was pretty cool. Open concept. It was cool inside, wear a sweater. Not sure what it'll be like in winter as this was hot summer day when we went. It was pretty informal, didn't get any silverware or napkins or appetizer plates. Like no one knew who was in charge of that part of customer service. We eventually got silverware when we went up and asked for it. They were all real friendly, it felt kind of like going to eat at your friend's house felt like in terms of formalities. They use high quality chop sticks and fancy wooden spoons. Very mod and cozy. I was thinking how cool the utensils are and hoping people don't steal their stuff! The food was OUTSTANDING and truly exceptional from the presentation to the incredible tastes and flavors. I am looking forward to going back and trying more items. The soup bowl looked incredible and I want to try that. read more

I ordered salmon panang and fresh rolls. I still cannot tell if the fresh rolls had a peculiar spice or an ingredient was rotten. I still can't get the taste out of my mouth over an hour later. Would not recommend. read more

Had the pleasure of trying Rickshaw this weekend while they were experimenting with late-night DoorDash and I'm floored! The quality, the freshness, the flavor, the everything! My husband got the Miso Ramen and even with the travel time the eggs were immaculate, the meat was perfectly cooked, the broth was rich and flavorful. I got curry fried rice and expected a mild Japanese curry flavor but it actually had a little kick. The veggies still had texture and were well cooked, the rice was so flavorful, and the portion was generous. If late-night was this good, I'm definitely going to have to try this place during normal hours! read more

We tried Rickshaw again last night, it was a Monday and definitely not as busy as our first experience which honestly may have made the difference. Food did not take long at all, and all came out in good timing. Their appetizers are delicious - I particularly liked the shrimp tempura again but we also enjoyed the gyoza and lumpia. I wished we had gotten photos of the food but we ate it too fast before I remembered. Husband got the Mongolian beef which he said was tasty. I LOVED the pork chop. Super flavorful and I'd definitely recommend it. Sister got the ramen which I had last time and it didn't disappoint. Service was excellent and food was delicious. Will return again! read more

Food was not great. The portions were huge but I would never eat there again. We got the chicken fried rice, sesame chicken, and Ka prow. The Thai tea was good but that was about it. The sesame chicken sauce was so sour and the ka prow was plain even though we got a medium spice level. We added sriracha and soy sauce to it and it was still just bleh. The service was slow too we had to wait 20 min for a check until we went up to the counter and asked. It wasn't ever busy in there and we got a table right away. read more

I happened to find out there was a new restaurant in town - came by to try a "Ramen bowl" one day and WOW. I actually sat and had two, back to back. This is my fifth time here - I've ordered a variety of foods for pick up, and had the Ramen bowls in-house twice now. Visiting the area and craving Thai - holy smokes I'm so glad we stopped at Rickshaw for lunch. The pricing was super reasonable and the food was authentic. The best Ramen I think I've ever had. Personally wasn't the biggest fan of the pickled salad and felt like there could have been a better balance of flavors (salty chasu versus bland bok choy), but the broth was satisfying and not too salty (with a kick of peppercorn). The noodles were as expected and the egg was PERFECT! Staff were friendly. Overall, I definitely saw rooms for improvement but they're a new business so I'm sure they will only get better! read more

New to Anchorage, they Rickshaw is a very nice surprise. The menu isn't huge but everything we tried was great. I had the Lunch special which was 2 entrees with rice and vegetables. I chose the teriyaki chicken and the wine braised beef, both were amazing. My wife had the Ramen which was very good as well. The server was quick with refilling waters and checking up on us. Portion sizes where mid sized and the price was great! Definitely will come back. read more

Great new lunch place! Enjoyed the ramen while my husband had the spicy pork, which definitely has some heat. Additionally, there is one vegan/vegetarian option. They are located in the strip mall next to ScanHome and do not have a sign yet but are open for take out and dine in from 11-3. read more

I was in town on business trip and stopped here for a meal. Great place to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff here are friendly and accommodating. The man at the counter explained the menu and suggested the lunch special. I enjoyed a dish of Teriyaki Chicken and Thai Yellow Curry, which was fantastic!! I was invited to lunch by a friend. Never heard of the place and, why not. I have to say this is the best bowl of Raman that I have found in this town. I love Raman and try every bowl I can in town. I could tell that all the food was hand crafted. Nothing from a can or jar besides condiments. The chili oil was hand made. Larry and Pho took the time to talk to us. Pho even talked to me about how he made Raman. As I saw the other items come out of the kitchen, I knew I would be back. I believe I was introduced to one of the hidden gems in the city that I didn't know existed. read more

Not sure why Yelp is listing this as closed but it's very much NOT closed. A quiet atmosphere and very well designed restaurant. Friendly staff and easy payment process. Now on to the food...it is stellar! The wife and I always try to make it a point to have lunch here at least once a week. The miso ramen here is the main event; it's a simple yet filling bowl of ramen noodles, pork charsiu, fresh greens and poached eggs. You can't get better than that. We always ask for an extra egg. The ramen bowl itself is more than enough, and you'll find yourself not having to spend a lot at this place. We intend to keep coming here. I recently dined at Rickshaw for the first time, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish! The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy lunch. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Now, let's talk about the food! The menu is limited, but I'm totally ok with that! Everything we ordered was delicious beyond belief! The lumpia was perfectly crunchy on the outside, the filling was beautifully seasoned. I had the orange chicken, which was cooked to perfection--tender and bursting with flavor. I don't know what the breading was, but it is magical! My friend tried the curry noodles, and it was rich, creamy, and simply divine. Overall, Rickshaw exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to go back and explore more of their menu.
