The Egg Drop soup was excellent and the food was good. My husband had the Beef and Broccoli and I had Almond Chicken. I normally don't like the egg rolls but these were really good.

Small signage out front... blink and you'll miss if it you don't realize they're in the American Legion building.

I'm by no meals an expert on Asian cuisine, I just like what I like. If you live in the Chugiak/Peters Creek area, you may or most like may not know that there is an small Asian restaurant connected to the American Legion building. I thought I had seen a sign a while back, but wasn't sure if it was really there. Indeed... it is and it's the same owner of its namesake in Eagle River, at the old China Lights location. After checking the menu, we opted for some takeout this evening and honestly, we weren't disappointed. Two meals consisting of an entree, fried rice, soup and an egg roll for $19 each. Sweet & Sour Pork and Mongolian beef were our entrees... with it being takeout, the pork was a smidgen soggy from the steam and the sauce was little runny for our liking. Not gonna lie, we like the thick sauce that really sticks to the pork; the flavor was good though. Mongolian beef was super tender and the onions were sautéed perfectly... soft but still crisp! Portions were good, food was hot and only took about 20 minutes to prepare. I've hear their Thai food and noodles are quite good as well, which we will try at some point. I do wish I would have ordered a Thai tea too... only thing I forgot to get. It's a holiday, so the restaurant itself was empty when we picked up. The gal who answered the phone and cashed us out was very polite... probably just takeout from most in New Years Eve. We'll go back... it's nice to have another option out here in our neck of the woods!!!

It was my dads birthday and he he really likes this place. It was my first time eating here, truthfully, I had no idea Peter's Creek had an Asian restaurant. Ordered two apps, crab Purses and spring rolls. Both were pretty mediocre, spring rolls lacked something, maybe too much icebergs lettuce? I had the Mongolian beef, brother and dads wife had the Tom kha and dad had the seafood pho. Biggest issues was the food timing and service, I received my food first, five minutes later the Tom kha, then 5 minutes after that the pho. We never received water refills and our waitress never cleared our plates as well. Food is ok, service is ok. So it was ok.

Horrible service, cold food had to be sent back, forgot the kids meal we already had been waiting nearly a hour. We won't be going back.

Good food. Our favorite is the Green Curry. Sometimes there's a bit of a wait...always worth it. Best place to eat in the area.

The food was authentic and served in large portions. The price was good for being all the way out in Chugiak. Nice family and good service.

Unfortunately, the food did not match the beauty of the space. We ordered the 9-grid sampler, and it was disappointing for the price. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor, the edamame was plain, and overall the sampler felt more like a Costco-style appetizer assortment than something you would expect from an upscale Chinese restaurant. The presentation was nice, but the flavors were underwhelming. The Dongpo Rou was probably the most flavorful dish we ordered and the standout of the meal. It had more richness and depth compared to the other dishes. However, the beef rice noodle soup was a major disappointment. For a dish that should have a comforting, aromatic broth, it lacked the savory depth and flavor I was expecting. It felt very flat and left me wondering where the flavor was. I was especially excited for the pork xiao long bao, but unfortunately that was another letdown. The dumplings kept sticking to the container, causing them to tear and lose the soup inside. The whole experience of a xiao long bao is enjoying that flavorful broth held inside the delicate dumpling, so having the soup spill out before you can even eat it really took away from the dish. The service was pleasant, and the restaurant itself is beautifully designed, but at this price point, I expected much more attention to both flavor and execution. Wei has a gorgeous atmosphere, but the food needs more refinement and consistency to match the elegance of the space. I hope they continue improving because the potential is definitely there.

As expected, the restaurant was crowded. After thirty minutes, it was hard to find an available table. Food is ordered at a counter, then a waiter takes it to the table. Portions were large. Fried rice tasted just right. It was piled high and I special ordered it without peas. It was prepared correctly. Five stars! Pot stickers were good. 4 stars. My wife had beef chow fun and that was five stars and the portion was large. Self serve soft drinks are available with unlimited refills. Strongly recommend this for anyone who likes good Chinese food. Our bill with tip was over $60. No sales tax in Anchorage.

For clarity: this rating is off the dim sum and dim sum-type dishes alone. Did not try the baked goods (aside from dan tat) or the rice plates/noodle plates, which seem to make up most of the menu. And the dim sum is... hit or miss. The bok choy is a generous portion, properly cooked, not the most interesting, but not bad. Spicy shrimp won tons are on the small side but tasty, although lacking in the umami that their better-known competitors (especially starting with a "D") begin with. Shu mai (shrimp or chicken, I got shrimp) were the most average/solid of the bunch, which to be fair, is entirely adequate. Har gow looked very pretty, but the skins were too thick, both skins and filling decidedly missing in flavor. The bean curd wrap was giant, super-sized vs. what you'd normally see, and while the bean curd wrap was on-point, the pork filling was pretty plain. This extended to the lo mai gai (sticky rice), which was ENORMOUS, like triple the size of what you'd see at normal dim sum, and similarly plain filling. To their credit, the quality of the stick rice itself was quite good, and the amount of filling was ample. Finally, the dan tat. Crust was a bit too crumbly and lacking in richness of the better ones, and the filling was oddly wrinkled, like it'd cooled too fast. However, the filling quality was good enough. They were busy when I walked in for dinner and were completely full a few minutes later, so much kudos to them-- they clearly are appreciated by the community, and it shows. Some diners at the table next to mine got the usual rice/noodle plates and many left quite full, so portions are good. Kitchen, as busy as they are, is both fast enough and a bit uneven. Short version: you're in Alaska, you can't expect what you get in 415 or 626. However, don't get too carried away either.
