I left THREE voice messages asking if they sold a particular e-bike and got ZERO response. All I needed was a 'yes' or 'no'. I also took a ride out there in person to find that they were open on certain days from noon to 5pm. I was there on an 'open' day around 1pm and nobody was there. Mail was piled up on the floor and not a soul in sight. The sign said you needed to make an appointment, which would have been helpful if that was also said when leaving them a voicemail. I will never recommend them to anyone I know. Customer service is non-existent. read more

Beware of the insane up charges on accessories like bike racks and helmets. one of his bike racks listed at $500 can be bought online for $179 (i attached photo in the review) Mike the owner is also very unprofessional. canceled on me 30 minutes before our appointment time because "he thinks he has covid" if your feeling sick that day, call me a couple hours before hand so i'm not wasting an hour of my time and gas driving half way to naperville and back 0/10 customer service, beware of the upcharge on bike racks read more

There's always two sides to every story when it comes to doing business. I will admit, I'm new to cycling, mainly bicycles, electric ones at that. I emailed Mike over a year ago on a whim just to gauge some interest and ideas on this growing fascination of mine to explore when I don't want to be on the road with my motorcycle. I wanted to stay active in areas that I haven't been in while being able to experience a freedom that was unchartered. Mike answered my emails fairly promptly and never pressured me to buy a thing. To be fair, I actually inquired about quite a few other models, but based off of explanation on what I was looking for in a bike, in the 'ride', etc. He gave me a few additional options to choose from. In the end, I made a 'window shopping' decision and decided to research one particular brand, Aventon. I did this on my own for nearly a year off and on. Then, a month or so back, I decided to ping Mike again and inquire about seeing the bike(s) in person. I had no real intention to buy, I just wanted to see how it was going to 'fit and feel'. We ironed out a day and time and when we showed up, he was friendly and just let me do my thing. Again, no pressure, just filled me in with answers I had questions to, and I still had quite a lot. Well, in the end, I made a purchase, simply because I value local/small business as they keep our economy going. Also because I don't know what other people may have said about Mike per some of the review below mine, but I never dealt with Mike in any negative way; never had scheduling issues, irate interactions.. nothing. In fact, during the purchase (after the fact), we noticed a few small hiccups that weren't in any fault of Mike's rather, Aventons - and he still made it beyond whole. I never demanded a thing from him nor expected but he really went the extra mile (pun intended) to make sure I was satisfied. All in all, 5 star experience. From the beginning of inquiries, to the no-pressure sales, pleasant interactions and great follow-ups, I don't see why I would go anywhere else. I've had the misfortune of being directed to Mike's E-bikes by Stromer USA. Stromer came out with a highly recommended computer upgrade and directed me to Mike's E-Bikes to facilitate the upgrade at the beginning of January. Upon contacting Mike, it was readily apparent that he had no idea about the upgrade service bulletin. It took him a week to confirm what I've stated in my email from Stromer. Mike was quick to point out that I should send him $420 for the unit and that he will charge me an additional $60 to install it. I quickly sent him the money indicating that it would be important to me to make sure this is all completed before the warm weather arrives. Since, Mike has provided no updates to me, unless I have proactively followed up. He originally said that he should have the units in April, then failed to provide a time estimate at all. When I finally followed up in early July, he told me that he "just got the units in" and wanted me to schedule a time to get this done. Excitedly, I went to open their scheduling calendar which basically had no availability until the end of August. I messaged him to ask if it would be possible to drop my Mike off as I would be leaving for 2 weeks, and if he could accommodate this 30 minute installation any time while I was gone. He declined to do this bringing up several excuses. His response was in line with his lackadaisical attitude the previous 6 months. I deemed this to be completely unacceptable. I asked if he could ship the unit to me for the upgrade. He finally did ship the unit. The $420 dollar unit that was shipped was missing crucial parts needed for installation. It doesn't really interest me whether Mike is this incompetent, lazy, either, or a solid combination of both. He didn't even bother to check the completeness of the parts in the kit (too lazy to check? or too incompetent to understand they were missing? *Shrug*). When I told him about my experience, he said that this is what Stromer sent to him. He didn't attempt to fix the issue. He didn't attempt to help. He decided that blaming the manufacturer and moving on just fully washes his hands of any responsibility. What a repulsive way to run a business. From my experience What Mike is great at is taking my money!!!! But this pales in comparison to how much he excels at : not accepting responsibility, blaming others, having no sense of urgency, not giving even a remote $%%^ about the experience of his customers. Finally, what you really need to understand about Mike's E-bikes, is that after 7 months and 420 dollars, instead of trying to resolve the problem, his response is to tell me that he is eager, ready and willing to engage an attorney. I will certainly provide an update if this happens. I just wonder how many negative reviews about this shop have been thwarted by aggressive legal techniques compared to perhaps a reasonably acceptable customer service. A day after this review, this is the message that I received from Michael Romanco, the owner. Please note, I've never met this person in my life and I had no intention of having further interactions with him. What a great place. I had a chance to visit Revolution and get a crash course in e-bikes from Mike. The man is phenomenal. Steered my wife to exactly what she was looking for. Horrible business owner. He sent me an email asking me to come today @ 730pm. We showed up to buy 3 bikes. He tells me he made a scheduling mistake & to come back on Friday same time. I said we're here now, let's just get it done, we came from far. We even said we would wait. He refused & got all weird about it. I then said clearly he doesn't need our money. My buddy kept wanting to get the deal done because he drove the furthest & it was a gift for someone leaving this weekend. We then left. Then in the evening Michael (the owner) starts sending me threatening texts, name calling me, harassing me. I told him to stop then 30 minutes later he sends me another threatening abusive text. Clearly he has some mental problems. If anyone wants the proof, I have his email & text messages. I've blocked him now. But everyone need to be cautious. You're not just buying a bike, you'll need service too. Be careful dealing with this guy. I would avoid him. Edit Friday July 24: LOL. It's sad that Mike needs to lie. I just read his reply. All would have been well & I would have left it alone if he didn't start harassing me & that's why it's important that everyone know who they are dealing with & it's reasons like this that Google & others have this method of communication. 1st he sent a reply yesterday imo: full of rage. Then deleted it & sent another long winded one below full of lies. I've attached my screen copies of his harassing name calling abusive texts to me of which I eventually called Naperville police & they told me to block him. I've also attached his email telling me to come today. Not me initiating - it was him. Think about the basic premise. I did call him. He sent me a link to the bike & told me he was booked up for a few weeks. So I said, well if you can squeeze me in or have any cancelations let me know. He then tells me to come in 2 days later. Why on earth would I drive on my own so far with out a confirmed after hours appnt when he is normally closed. Clearly it doesn't make any sense & neither does his story. He flew off the handle with me & is now trying to paint a fake history & doing damage control. This negative review from me would not have existed if he didn't start harassing me that evening either. A simple apology would have been enough. But his rude name calling.... Everyone needs to know the business owner he is. read more

I attempted to purchase a bike which he had in stock, he told me I needed to schedule a appointment witch was 3 weeks away. This business is only open limited hours, and it seems that if you don't comply with his business model, he's not interested in your business. I just wanted to purchase a bike that he had in his store, and he tells me I need to wait 3 weeks? Totally unacceptable. The other option was for me to put down a deposit, and he would get back to me if someone canceled a appointment. I gave him 2 stars because he had decent communication with me. Mike and Doug were great and made our day trip seamless. The rental was very smooth and when we got there, Doug let us know everything about the area so we could get the most out of our trip. He was friendly and informative, showing us maps of the area and even giving advice on the best locations to visit after our biking trip was over. The bikes were top models in great condition, too. The bikes were really easy and fun to ride. Mike provided superior service from start to finish. He sent me very detailed info and maps by several emails and was quick to respond to questions. He personally delivered the bikes to our hotel, explained thoroughly how to use the bikes and the trail we were riding. The bikes were in great shape like brand new. We had a great experience at Mike's E-Bikes. On our first visit Mike spent a couple of ours letting us test and then answering many questions about E - Bikes. He volunteered to order in the two bikes we were most interested to try. I was sure I wanted one but I wanted my wife to feel comfortable with hers. When we returned we were able to confirm exactly what we wanted. We purchased two bikes at a fair price. Mike has been very responsive with the minor adjustments and add ons that we wanted. We took a 3-4 hour bike ride but before we did we had many questions for Mike on his e-bikes. He was gracious enough to spend the time both before and after to answer all our questions. He set us up with a great route and it couldn't have been better. I wanted to try the e-bike to see if it would be a good option for me during times of adrenal fatigue. I can give a resounding YES!
