Very nice and helped get my bike out of my van into the shop. Reasonably priced for a tune-up.

Affordable, quick and kind service. Very knowledgeable and the store seems very COVID cautious. Will definitely use them in the future!

Had a flat on the Prairie Path and the owner Doug let me borrow a pump, saved me from using a CO2 cartridge.

The guy at service counter wanted to overcharge me $450. He also lied about what needed to be fixed and was very condescending. He told me the chain, seat, handles, ties, tube all needed to be replaced, plus all the service. So on a hunch, I asked him how much he would pay for my carbonfiber bike. (It's 10 years old, but I bought it for $2,000). Guy told me he'd pay $70. I knew this shop was suspect and then that cinced it. I told him absolutely not. That anyone who knows anything (and I'm not a bike expert) wouldn't pay $70 for a bike that was purchased for $2,000. He kept telling me "that's what my owner would pay" as other employees shook their head in agreement with me. I ended up taking it else where. When I got it fixed, I asked the guy what needed to be done, as a I suspected, I just needed grease and the tube replaced, nothing else. My tires weren't rotten. The guy put baby powder on my bike seat, everything else was fine. I also asked him how much my bike was worth. He told me $400+. This place is terrible and frankly taking advantage of people. My suggestion: Go to the guy in Naperville who is retired and genuine. I found him off other reviews in Yelp. Artisanbiccyle.com He's by appointment only. But charges $60 for what this place tried charging $450. He fixed everything in less than an hour -- which Spokes told me would take a week to fix. Not okay. They are taking advantage of people since so many bike shops have closed.

This guy is honest, quick and teaches customers, if they have questions, about care and maintenance of their bike. So happy I found Jim. I was desperate to find someone to service my Felt after Get a Grip Cycles closed in Chicago. He works by appointment. Retired and wanted to work with his hands. I called him out of desperation after Spokes in Wheaton wanted to overcharge me $450 to replace tire, tubes, chain, seat. Instead it turned out to be simply a tube change and grease on the gears -- which I suspected. Jim even put baby powder on my seat to make it non-sticky after a move dinged up the seat. Can't say enough good things. He works out of his garage. He smokes a pipe. He prefers you to let him work while he works on your bike and then you ask questions. Again, old school artisan who is honest.

We rode to Mill Race to see if they had a replacement tire, which they did. The new tire and tube were installed and I also bought a spare tube to put in my bag. I also asked them to order another tire so that I could replace the front. I received notification that the tire was in. I went to pick it up and they had ordered the wrong tire. I asked for a refund and ordered my own. I used my spare tube when I changed the tire, so I went to Mill Race, today, to get a replacement spare tube. I brought the box from the tube and asked to buy another. Fortunately, I checked the tube box as it was being rung up as it was the wrong tube (schrader vs presta). When the Mill Race employee went to get the correct tube, he brought out 2 boxes and asked what size I needed. I told him to check the box that I brought in. "It's already been thrown out", he told me. I said I just brought it in a few minutes ago. Long story short, he sold me the wrong size, so I'll be going back tomorrow. Who knew buying tires and tubes for a common road bike would be so challenging.
