I took my 15+ year old Schwinn to him with a bad derailleur & a slightly bent rim. It had never had a tune up or had any repairs done to it...and I got back a bike that looks & feels & rides like it's brand new! I would imagine you can get the same type of work done at store-front type bike shops for 25%-50% more... but being that Jim runs his shop out of his garage, he doesn't have all the overhead. I'm very impressed and satisfied.... it's almost a shame to get it dirty again riding on the bike paths around Dupage County. I also took a ride out there in person to find that they were open on certain days from noon to 5pm. I was there on an 'open' day around 1pm and nobody was there. Mail was piled up on the floor and not a soul in sight. The sign said you needed to make an appointment, which would have been helpful if that was also said when leaving them a voicemail. I will never recommend them to anyone I know. Customer service is non-existent.
