I am from Phoenix and seriously LOVE this place!! I wish we had the same exact thing in my area. Such a beautiful warm environment. Lots of windows and at night it was such a soothing atmosphere. The menu is amazing!! I had no idea what to get I wanted to try it all. I opted for the orange peel infused espresso and WOAH totally perfectly made and balanced. I savored it completely. The bartender was friendly and I enjoyed watching him make the drinks at the bar. I happened to be there on a Monday night and it was packed...but not at all loud and obnoxious! I went in with my boyfriend to have a drink and were feeling a bit ignored. Went up to the bar a couple times trying to get a drink, and Tristan noticed! She was great! Mixed me an amazing cocktail (can't remember the name but it's made with gin, strawberries, basil and lemon) and got my bf a beer. Rendezvous might be the perfect place to waste an entire day. It sits on the corner with giant windows perfect for people watching. There's ample seating, a fairly quiet atmosphere, and a wonderful staff. I live in Phoenix but always make time for a vanilla latte when I'm driving through Flag. What I previously declared on Yelp to be the perfect latte (from Cartel Coffee Lab) I'm going to have to edit to second best. Rendezvous takes the cake. read more

I have heard about this place for a very long time and finally got a chance to stop in.i was very impressed, it definitely lived up to the hype. I started with an espresso shot which was masterfully pulled. Then I tried a cinnamon turtle latte which was also very well made! Ok. So many years ago I refused to come to this place due to rude service on a consistent basis. I decided to try it again. The coffee was really good! I have also had some drinks here as well. The guy bartender is great. I do remember though some of the girl bartenders could be a bit stand offish or ignored me! I don't understand this but don't do it to me again when I come in! Cool? Sucks cause I used to love this place, actually the product is 4-5 star, the staff... another story. I think the influx of rich/hipster/millennial kinda ruined the town. People here are nice and friendly, these kids are abrupt and semi rude/unprofessional. We planned on having a few drinks but we're rushed with our checks. It's the bright and inviting portal to the Hotel Monte Vista. Coffee bar during the day - martini bar by night. Looks and feels authentic, very urban and European. Great draft beers - they have Spaten! - and the classiest wells encountered in a long while. You'd think we had a fabulous experience - it was so-so. The latte took too long. The Earl Gray came in this displacement brewing contraption that I found out was a displacement brewing contraption after trying to pour the tea - liquid and loose leaves - into my mug. The slightly-more-competent barista noticed my ignorant transgression with a combination of horror and astonishment. She was forgiving enough, replacing the order and giving a demonstration of the advancement in tea technology completely lost on me and my better half. The vegetarian sausage and egg muffin was neglected on multiple occasions by completely-incompetent-and- probably-hungover barista - when it did finally arrive it was quickly dismissed as 'fucking gross'. Fair summary from my nearby perch. SMC barista did delete it from the bill. CIAPH barista still doesn't give a shit about it. The muffin from Sugar Mama's was decent - cherry I think. Our favorite place we went during our weekend stay. Great atmosphere that allows you to sit at the bar, at the window, or at a tucked away table. For a hotel bar I was really impressed. They had an hot eggnog whiskey chai that was absolutely heavenly. It was a great way to warm up when it was in the mid 20s this weekend. Rendezvous - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Flagstaff, Arizona

After many enjoyable nights spent here with friends, I unfortunately left last night with bad taste in my mouth about the staff working. While my friend went to buy a round for us, he was asked to leave when he couldn't immediately provide all of our IDs as we were sitting at a corner table. When the bouncer approached him to escort him from the bar he said "Go back to your country." Let me reiterate, my friend, an AMERICAN citizen, was told to return to "his country." This sort of antagonism and prejudice is completely inappropriate and uncalled for in ANY scenario. Surprising us, we responded with a , "what did you say?" the bouncer continued just as another staff member stepped in, further escalating the situation, threatening to call the police after we called out the racists and inappropriate comments made. I understand that their responsibility is to maintain a safe environment, but when one of their own was intentionally antagonizing a customer, is that really creating a safe environment? This was a gross abuse of authoritarianism, when those meant to keep the establishment safe were actively alienating a customer. It does not seem like a smart way to de-escalate any situation under any circumstances. If this sort of thing had occurred with someone who had been drinking, this would have easily created a much more hostile and unsafe situation. Seeing how the bouncers reacted does not make me feel safe in the establishment. It breaks my heart that this kind of prejudice is happening in our own backyard and I am truly sad to say that I can't see myself ever returning. read more

This is such a unique spot! I like that it's s bar that doesn't feel the need to place TV's all around. We got wine and a basic liquor drink but all of their cocktails looked and sounded amazing. Rendezvous is a one of kind place: a true coffee house and full service bar that serves up speciality drinks. As we were there on a Monday evening, their drink special was Mojito Monday. Per our bartender's recommendation, we both had blackberry mojitos. Delicious and refreshing. The bartenders were also very friendly and helpful in adding their suggestions for dining and sharing some helpful tips in checking out the Lava Cave. We enjoyed our experience so much that we returned that same evening for "dessert". I requested something warm and sweet so per the bartender's recommendation I had a Jamison and Chai Latte. Again, delicious!! It was like drinking liquified cake.
