We were extremely disappointed with our experience here. They charge a mandatory tip even though there's no server service at all. You have to wait in line to order your own food, get your own drinks, and--surprise--they didn't ask us to cook our own meal too. What service did they actually provide that deserves a tip? Absolutely none. We seated ourselves and had to grab our own menus. To make matters worse, they said they had no silverware available and told us we'd have to ask a server for it--again, after doing everything ourselves. The one staff member we interacted with also seemed to have a bad attitude, which only added to the frustration. Overall, this place was very disappointing and definitely not worth the mandatory tip or the attitude.

What a great place! Staying in Williams for the night and drove thru town and made this our first stop. My hubby their Cold IPA and really enjoyed it while I had a vodka soda and it was yummy! Ordered some wings and they were nice and crispy, just how I like them! Manda was very pleasant and friendly! Great place to check out while in town. The atmosphere is very chill and laid back and family friendly.

We had beers and wings and was really really good. Really enjoyed the stone fruit double IPA. Wings were crisp just like my wife likes them and are bartender Manda was on top of it! Thank you for great food and a good good pint of beer

    mac n cheese

I ordered the mac n cheese. Nothing special about it, it was pretty mediocre, not worth the $15 price tag imo. There was no wait to be seated, since it was self seating, but the food took a long time to arrive. Granted, it was lunch rush on a Saturday, and the kitchen people were visibly hustling.

Historic Brewing Company is a staple to the Flagstaff community for local brews. I have always enjoyed the beer from this company and continue to support their crafty creations over the years. Their staff is always super friendly and helpful. The Piehole Porter from Historic will always hold a special place in my heart. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Flagstaff or locals looking for a place they haven't tried yet. This location, the downtown Flagstaff location, or their esthetic bar in Williams are all great places to visit.

Came here while we were in the area since it was the closest brewery to where we were. Flights were well priced, believe we got 8 tasters for $16. Being from SoCal, the beer was just ok. The standout was the Black IPA. Super surprised I liked this so much. The pie porter tasted like cherry coke to me. Good for some sips but wouldn't be able to drink a whole glass. Service was great, but while we were there, they had the garage door open and it was super cold. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

Of all the breweries I've been to, Historic Brewing had the most fermenters on display. Stacks of fermenters! It showed in the variety of beers they had on tap. A couple standouts were the pineapple Jack Wagon and the Historic Porter. The pineapple Jack Wagon was frothy, thick, and had what looked like pulp. Unlike most pineapple beers, it was dry, not sweet. I would love to know when and how they added the pineapple.

The Piehole Porter I liked but the wife did not, kind of reminded her off her dad's pipe tobacco.

Stopped by Dark Sky Brewing Beer Garden & Atmosphere Kitchen for lunch before the NAU graduation…read moreceremony and it was a great spot to relax before the festivities. The outdoor beer garden is huge with plenty of seating, heaters for those crisp Flagstaff evenings, and sunshades for warmer days. There's indoor seating too, but the outdoor area is definitely the main attraction. It's also dog friendly, which was nice to see. You order both food and drinks at the counter and they bring everything out to you. We arrived right when they opened and there was already a line forming, so the place is clearly popular. The decor fully leans into Flagstaff's International Dark Sky designation with UFO, alien, and astronaut-themed artwork throughout the venue, which gives it a fun atmosphere. The drink selection was impressive with a huge variety of craft beers on tap plus cocktails, cider, and wine. We tried the Rainy Daze hazy IPA and the Vortices hazy double IPA. Both were smooth, flavorful, and not overly bitter or hoppy, and of course very hazy. Food was more hit or miss. The pretzel board was really good and the beer cheese was awesome. The fish and chips, however, were just okay. The fish tasted like the fryer oil probably needed to be changed, and the portions were smaller than expected with only three thin pieces of fish. The fries at least came out crispy and hot. Service was friendly, although interaction is pretty limited since everything is counter service. The all-gender bathrooms were also clean, which is always appreciated. There's a paid parking lot across the street along with metered street parking nearby. Overall, I'd come back for the atmosphere and the massive beer selection, but I'd probably skip the fried foods.
