They offer both dimsum and desserts menu here also. I ordered the pork fried rice and I wasn't too satisfied with it. Taste was ehhh so I had to add some soy sauce and siracha to get flavor. I was meeting one of my girlfriends here for a late lunch, and upon walking in, the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing. I feel like they have a good modern take on a Vietnamese restaurant. It's bright with booths as well as a few tables, you're also able to sit at the bar. They do have seating on both sides of their bar, and it doesn't seem too crowded. I was greeted immediately and asked to take a seat at any of the booths, the booth I happened to pick had a missing set of utensils. Once I was seated I waited about 10 minutes until a waitress came to check on me. She brought over some menus and apologized for the wait. I was still waiting on my friend so I wasn't in any rush by any means. So I just took my time looking over the menu, which I was surprised at how decently sized it was, they have a menu for their drinks alcoholic and non, which includes cocktails, beer, liquor, boba teas and smoothies, coffee, and juices. For desserts they have custard buns, red bean sesame balls, salted egg yolk sesame balls, crispy cake rolls, crispy cake rolls with ice cream, mango panna cotta, creme brulee, and a variety flavors of bingsu, and then a menu for their appetizers and entrees. They also have a Happy Hour Monday-Friday from 3p-6p. They offer fresh oysters, Bahn Mis, dim sum, stir fried noodles, fried rice, vermicelli bowls, rice plates, and pho. Once I heard my friend would be arriving shortly the waitress came over again and asked if I wanted any water while I waited, I told her yes but that I'd also like to order a couple of Thai teas and some appetizers. I started with their fried sampler which comes with wontons, eggrolls, and pot stickers, each come in a pair and with pork, it's also accompanied with a sweet chilli sauce. I also ordered their pork and prawn siu Mai which only come in three. My girlfriend finally arrived and came just in time for the Thai teas and appetizers to arrive. The Thai tea was perfect for me, they already serve it in a to go cup for you, in case you want the Boba added, so it's the film plastic top cover, it was already mixed well, and not too sweet at all. The fried sampler plate was good as well, I must say that the wontons were my favorite, each item had enough meat in them that was packed with flavor. Their siu Mai was good, it tasted different from what I'm used to, but that could be because of the prawn, still was good though, I just wish they had four instead of the three, which would make more sense if you're sharing. After we finished our appetizers we decided to order some wine, we tried their Moscato, which wasn't overly sweet but I very much enjoyed! Definitely recommended if you're a Moscato fan. For our entrees I had their chicken pho, sub with egg noodles (for $1 more), they do have the option for grilled chicken if you're wanting to upgrade that as well, and she ordered their beef curry with a fried egg (also additional cost). Their pho was very good, I actually didn't add any sauce to their broth, and the egg noodles were thin and merried well in it. I just wish that it came out hotter, I definitely did not like that it came out warm. My friend also enjoyed her meal and said that her curry was good as well, and was not too spicy. For dessert we had their Creme brulee, which was small in size, but considering how much food we had, it seemed like the perfect ending to our meal. A little more tart, and not as good of a toasted sugar top, but not bad. It is a little on the pricier side for Vietnamese food than what I'm used to, but it was a good different and we had an overall enjoyable experience here and will be coming back to try their other dishes! read more

I have been looking for a Vietnamese spot in Clear Lake to satisfy my cravings! Interior is very clean with plenty of booths and open seating. They have a very expansive menu with a menu just for drinks and cocktails. They also have a very thorough food menu with dim sum and Vietnamese options. On this visit, I tried the pho tai, beef stew, and Vietnamese coffee smoothie. The pho had a pretty flavorful broth with heaping portions of beef. The beef stew was a bit thick but quite delicious as well. The smoothie had just the right amount of coffee to ice ratio. Overall, I had a decent experience here. As I walked into the restaurant I was immediately greeted and asked if I was dining in. I was surprised because I came in 30 minutes before closing to pickup my meal I ordered online. I waisted only a few moments until the server brought me my meal packages in a bag. The bag was well secured and it allowed me to transport the meal without it falling over. The inside of the restaurant is under construction, so it seems a bit small but I can say the food is well worth it. They had plenty of table seating with a few booths if you prefer. I saw a full bar inside too which is another nice touch. This meal was absolutely delicious. I normally order chicken pho and it is sometimes dry from other places with the chicken kind of bland. This place was the opposite, the chicken was so delicious I wanted to order more on the side. I could eat this chicken everyday! It was crunchy outside as if it was seared, juicy inside and flavorful. It could hold up on its own. The broth was enough to fill out the contain 1.5 times, so you can have extra broth. The veggies were fresh and the bean sprout were crisp. I liked that they added a fork, spoon and chop sticks in the bag. This was a great touch. read more

This place was super cute, small but cute and they have a full bar. I'm always excited to find a great Vietnamese place close to home. I used to live in China town and I miss the food so much. The menu here is great, they have so much to chose from. I ordered take out and everything was packaged great and fresh. I ordered some shrimp spring rolls and egg rolls. I enjoyed them all very much especially the egg rolls. I also ordered a bahn mi and jasmine green milk tea. I wasn't the biggest fan of the tea, it wasn't as flavorful as some I've had before. It had been over a year since I'd eaten at Remton. Previously, the tables seemed to belong to a cheesy Vietnamese diner. The food was excellent, though, and we came back many times back then. The menu used to be reflective of a restaurant that didn't offer a great variety. This has all changed. It's been a year since they remodeled and when we walked in the door in March, 2024, the place looked great - staff friendly. A VERY different experience. One of the waiters watched as I was shivering and offered to turn the heat down - in my section. His knowledge of food was not just great - he was enthusiastic about it! The Bahn Mi (pork sandwich) used to be, in my opinion, second or third best in that area. Now it ranks higher than the rest. My husband had the pho - same thing. Much better than last time and last time's feast was excellent. The pho stock is still amazing. There were four menus to choose from - including a lunch and daily special. Certain things, for sure, came out of the freezer and into the frying pan (the problem with having TOO much variety - can't always have everything on the menu prepared fresh). Nonetheless, you can still tell the care taken in presentation and preparation. I hope you have the time to taste some of Vietnam's special items and the charm of a lovely, tasty and up-to-date dining experience. Or... simply sit at the bar and watch sports! Great place! I started with the Creamy Wontons. Real Crab meat, not imitation like you get at some places. Fried to perfection. For the main course, I had the Vermicelli with the Grilled Pork. It was very well done. The pork was well spiced with just the right amount of crisp around the edges. The Vermicelli was cooked perfectly. Not to sound like a member of Generation Z, but this place slaps! That means I really like it for those wondering if I could translate to plain English. I'm very familiar with nearly every Vietnamese restaurant along Bay Area, but I didn't know Pho 17 existed until today. It's in this strip center located at the intersection of Highway 3 and Bay Area (if you're heading westward on Bay Area it's to your right). My aunts and I dropped by earlier today after getting groceries. Barely seconds after we walk through the door, a nice gentleman who I believe to be the manager warmly greets us and tell us to have a seat anywhere. We choose a booth. I semi-scan the business, which is spacious, clean and very well-lit. The menu has some very solid options to choose from. Though I sadly learn that the lunch combo wasn't available on weekends, I turn lemons into lemonade by selecting a rice plate. A grilled pork one at that. I start things off with a pair of what I think are the best spring rolls I ever tasted. What are they filled with? Grilled pork. Sure, shrimp is the common ingredient, but I just can't pass up my go-to filling. Let's talk about the grilled pork rice plate. I'm really impressed with the presentation and even more enamored with how super delicious the meat is. It's easy to tell that the kitchen staff put a lot of effort in making the entree. I went with a group of family and friends (6 of us) on a Friday evening. The restaurant was not packed but they were busy. It's obvious that half of their dining space is being renovated at the moment, including their restroom, so only one restroom is available for customers (a mild inconvenience). The interior is very nice--modern, clean, and bright. We ordered quite a bit of food, but I will only discuss what I ordered: special pho, stir fried noodles (birds nest noodles), vermicelli with grilled pork, egg rolls, and a mango bingsu. The food is good! Egg rolls were hot and crispy. Their egg roll sauce is weird, though; instead of fish sauce, they give you this viscous sweet chili thing. I prefer Vietnamese egg rolls with fish sauce. The vermicelli with grilled pork was good. The pork was well seasoned and it's kind of a big portion. The bird nest noodles were good, too, even though it's more Chinese than Vietnamese. It tasted exactly what I expected it to taste. My husband had the special pho and he said it was good. Finally, the bingsu... I was a little worried because I was afraid they would make the bingsu (a Korean thing) all Americanized, especially when the other bingsu offerings on the menu have non-Korean, non-Asian toppings, like cereal or Oreos. No fear, the bingsu is pretty good. The mango is clearly fresh and not from a can. The shavings are creamy, not watery. It is a bit overly sweet, but I'm fine with that. I liked that they top off the bingsu with popping tapioca balls. Overall, the dessert was a nice surprise! Our waiter was a young man, who was mostly attentive. We had to flag him down towards the end, but no biggie. They did add 18% gratuity because we were a party of six. We came here on a Tuesday afternoon. The place wasn't packed at all, very clean. The waitress was nice and seated us promptly. She was also attentive and came back to check on us throughout our lunch. I really like that their menu has pictures, lots of options, but it's not overwhelming. I ordered their chicken spring rolls, street food rice cake, pan fried turnip, and bbq pork bun. I was a big fan everything except the pan fried turnip. The flavor tasted a little fishy, and was hard to finish. We dipped in soy sauce and it even the taste a bit. They're on the pricier side for dim sum dishes but I think the quality was great and their presentation is very nice. They also have bin su desserts and milk teas. I got the Thai green tea, which is a go to for me at other boba shops. I wasn't a fan of theirs and didn't finish my drink. Let me break down my ratiing. The service was a 2.75. The waitress was very concerned about the television channels that were playing. When I awkwardly tried to wave her down, she couldn't see me, even though I am a presence most places. I finally found somebody to bring me a shaker of salt so now we move onto the food, which, incidentally was all over the salt shaker. The food was 4.5 star FANTASTIC. I started with the mango shrimp appetizer. There were about four large shrimp, fried to perfection on top of a mango salad. It was dressed like Cinderella with stawberry pearls. When I asked about the short ribs, my waitress got all sparkly telling me about the house's special dish. It was presented beautifully and literally on fire. The beef had been marinated with Asian flavors. The two sides that I ordered were the sticky rice cakes and the house salad. The rice cakes were deceiving. I thought they would be a nice salty component to my dinner, sort of like hash browns. However, they were made with coconut milk and a little on the sweet side. Disappointed. Just disappointed. The food was not good and traditional. I got the com tam, and the meat wasn't good. The pho was bland, and have you looked at the bean sprouts plate? It was so little. A traditional pho restaurant would never. They also did not have different sizes for the pho bowl and that was odd. If you're looking for authentic Vietnamese food then this isnt your place. The only positive thing was that the staffs were friendly and helpful so that was nice. As far as the decor and the atmosphere, it was a super cute restaurant. Unfortunately, my friends and I did not enjoy our food and it was overpriced for what you're getting. *edit: "broken rice" or "steamed rice" yes, the texture is different, nonetheless, still wasn't good. I forgot to mention we also got Bo Kho and it was not flavorful at all either. Although the pho sizes at this place is "equivalent" to most pho restaurants, it seems like they still gives you less noddles. If you go to any Vietnamese restaurant, they will always give you tons of basil and bean spouts without you asking. I've never experienced a bite of veggies, lol. The food here is very good! The service is fast and the waiters are attentive. They recently renovated and I absolutely love what they did with the place. They created a bigger bar area and when you walk in the ambiance is more inviting. I'm pretty addicted to their Street Food Rice Cake or Banh Bot Chien. It's nothing like anything I've ever tried but it's everything I've ever wanted in my mouth at the same time! Haha! Especially with the sauce it comes with! The textures and flavors are just lovely. Try it if you're feeling adventurous one day! The Sesame Balls with Red Bean are my go-to for dessert. The smoothies and boba teas are also really good here. Prices for pho are about $6.20 to 7 which is really enough to fill you but of course you can always order some summer rolls on the side or whatever. Their pho and rice dishes are great. Nothing super special but just good, standard Vietnamese fare. They are always quick to serve you. I can pretty much get in and out in like 20-25 mins if I wanted to. Very clean. TVs all over the place playing sports (which is why my wife never likes it when I sit facing one of the screens). Only complaint is that it's a bit cold, but I think that's on purpose because you don't want to overheat and get uncomfortable when eating hot pho, especially in the Houston summers. Give it a try.
