I just have to say the staff is super friendly, they are just wonderful. Tracy is a sweet woman, she is always very attentive and makes sure that we are having a good time. Came here while on a business trip. I had the grilled pork spring rolls and the pho with filet mignon. The food was good but the pho broth was not a good pho broth. While it was a perfectly beef broth it lacked the essential flavors that a good pho broth should have. Namely star anise, cardamom, and cinnamon. If your just into standard Vietnamese dishes this seems to be a pretty good place, but if your looking for amazing pho then this place is a pass. read more

We ordered 3 appetizers and our pho and I was expecting the bill to be much more than what it was. I've liked everything I've tried here so far, that also includes a vermicelli bowl and spring rolls, I honestly just can't get over the chicken pho. It's probably the best one I've ever had, the meat is tender enough to fall apart, the pickles are just right, and the fried rice wasn't "heavy" like so many. The only thing I missed was the lemon & pepper dip for the meat. Excellent. My husband ordered the shrimp, pork, and chicken fried rice--spicy. He loves it. This was my first experience eating Pho. My brother and his wife asked my husband and me to join them for dinner. The waiter was very helpful. He answered all of our questions and was very patient with our inexperience. He was very polite and a pleasure to deal with. It was agreed that even if the food was mediocre, we would come back to see this waiter. However, the food was also very good. It was fresh and flavorful. The egg rolls were different (in a good way). They weren't your typical egg rolls from the freezer and fried. They seemed more authentic. Overall, the food was very good. The place is also clean. In the midst of the coronavirus craze, I did not have any concerns about cleanliness eating here. read more

I went to this restaurant expecting greatness and my goodness did it knock my socks right off. The appetizers were exquisite and delicious. The presentation was Michelin level and they are Instagram worthy posts. For the appetizers, I ordered the tamarind chicken wings and they were crunchy and the meat was so juicy, I recommend them. Next I ordered the salted egg yolk calamari and I personally thought this was a banger of a dish. In other restaurants, the calamari is usually chewy but in Remton it was soft and felt like pork belly fat in my mouth. Definitely recommend the salted egg yolk calamari. For the next appetizer, I ordered the tropical mango shrimp. Man these shrimps were so crunchy and juicy and the sauce that is accompanied with the beautiful crispy shrimp was delicious. Chef's kisses. The last appetizer I ordered was the Street-Food Rice Cake which was my personal favorite because how simple and tasty it is. All the appetizers that I ordered are must orders if you come to Remton. Now to conclude my review, I want to give shootouts to the best server in the restaurant, Quan. Quan was super attentive and always on the job. Even though he is busy with customers, he will still regularly check up and ask you how the food is tasting. This place is great. I travel a lot and have discovered that good Vietnamese food is usually found at the dirtiest restaurants with rude help. That is not the case at Remton. The food is great, the restaurant is clean and well air conditioned, and the staff is awesome. I spend about a week every two months in south Houston for business and I eat lunch or dinner at Remton several times each trip. I cant really comment too much regarding their menu as I'm a creature of habit and order the same thing no matter what Vietnamese restaurant I go to. We have been going to this place for quite sometime now. I still remember the first time we ate here. I waited for a long time for my food to be served while my family already had and were already eating theirs just to be told by the young Asian male waiter that he forgot to enter my order and that they just started cooking it. I cancelled my order and shared my wife's food. I just brushed it off that time as we wanted to like this place. Fast forward today, the same young Asian male waiter came to our table and started picking up our plates. He asked if he could get me and my wife's plates, I said yes. He however did not ask my son who was clearly still munching on his food and started picking up his utensils before I told him that my son was still eating. He proceeded to put the fork back to my son's plate to which I quickly told him to take it away as he already touched it. This rude young Asian male waiter never apologized and just proceeded to say "I'll get you another one." He did get my son another fork and I was hoping that he will not come back to our table and that the waitress who got our order will be the one who'll serve us our dessert. To my dismay, the same rude male waiter still came back with the dessert I ordered from another waitress and without saying a word placed it on our table without giving me and my wife utensils to use for the dessert. Such a rude unethical and unprofessional waiter! The food menu here also changed multiple times and I was hoping for the best but it was far from that. Yes they did expand their menu but the quality has gone down while the prices went up. The pork chop that my son ordered was mostly composed of bone and tendon. The chicken wings was far worse than it was before. The only thing consistent was the beef stew. It tasted the same as before but the price has way gone up. I don't waste my time leaving reviews, we would have just brushed it off had we not encountered that rude, unethical and unprofessional young male Asian waiter. The mediocre food and the high prices I was just going to let go but thanks to that rude waiter this restaurant just got a negative review. If I was able to give a zero star, I would have. PS: The two young female waitresses who got and served our orders were very nice, friendly and helpful. Another lady who I presumed is the owner was also nice and explained things on their menu changes. Just my 2 cents though, restaurants who are known to serve delicious food have one thing in common and that is consistency. I applaud you for expanding your menu but the quality should have been the same if not better. Lastly good restaurants understand that they are not only in food business but also service business. Pho 17 Is tucked in a strip center on Bay Area & Highway three. My first impression when I walked in was that the place looked clean modern and had plenty of space. I was greeted by Dean my waiter, he was very friendly and attentive. I tried the barbecue pork and vermicelli and spring rolls; both were good.
