I would give zero if I could. We have had multiple moves with the military and this is the first time we have ever had DESTRUCTION, POOR COMMUNICATION and INEPTITUDE of this magnitude. We scheduled a cross country move out of a 1300 sq ft house for situational awareness. This company delivered our belongs weeks after they were contracted and scheduled to be delivered which displaced my husband, daughter and our dogs. The company stated that this delay would result in a comp of a measly $400 which of course DOESN'T cover the cost of the hotel. The rationale the dispatcher provided to my husband after waiting for 6 hours for the delivery was "We are busy". I will post an update after this matter is resolved. All of this after reaching out (we have phone records to prove this) weeks before with zero communication from the company despite attempts to confirm, and ensure readiness and planning for the final offload. We needed the items delivered to a condo and to a storage unit as our new house is being built. The truck finally arrives on the second date that we scheduled (after multiple back and forth communications trying to schedule deliveries while my husband was working) and you can see just some of the evidence of the care they took with our belongings. Containers opened or broken and missing lids that were present and intact when packed, broken boxes, discolored boxes (water damage? How? Why?), open boxes that were originally taped closed, heavily and obviously damaged furniture.... almost all items covered in black charcoal like dust... The list goes on and on. Many of the crushed boxes are rattling. So we had my husbands grandmothers crystal shattered, my grandmothers antique table sewing machine broken, a mattress soaked and stained brown ( was previously white), baseball cards and comic books that were previously in great if not immaculate and in protective sheets or original boxes and packaging condition that are now warped and damaged, and box after box of wet and ruined items in the back of the truck. Mind you this is what we found due to crushed and open boxes- nothing was unpacked yet.... 2 local guys were brought in to help with the offload process. The driver didn't help at all and despite what I would expect to be normal did not have any moving equipment or carpet runners to help with the offloading process. Clearly our move was contracted out to a random guy with a truck. To make matters even more sketchy the driver asked my husband to sign a limited liability form after he began documenting the damages and voiced his shock and displeasure. This happened well into the offloading process. When I called The company I only got a scheduler who 'couldn't' help. When the truck was finally unloaded the driver again had the nerve to try to force my husband into signing a limited liability form. After the damage we have see without unpacking 1 box are you serious!!!! I would highly recommend that you consider a company that takes care in packing, provides and takes pride in offering customer service and takes more steps to communicate with their customers. read more

Unsure how this business has a verified license according to the state of CA a company with this business name does not. Best Fit is the one with a license They are not even listed as a DBA. Secondly was told items were being stored in miramar area yet belongings are in a warehouse at the border. This was not authorized nor was I advised. They full on lied when confronted. Having major issues getting my items released to a government authorized mover even tho I have paid all my storage costs to date. I had a move scheduled for the movers arrive from 2-6pm. After waiting around for 2 hours I decided to call and ask if they could possibly give me a closer estimated time of arrival. The movers did not show up until 4:45 pm on a Saturday. The movers moved slowly and didn't seem to have a lot of experience carrying heavy boxes or furniture. It seemed like one of them was just a kid. This was my first time using movers and I have to say I am extremely disappointed. For the amount of money I had to pay and for the amount of time it took them to move a one bedroom apartment to another one bedroom apartment it just wasn't worth it. i hired Best Fit to pack my UHaul pods for my move. The two that showed up to do the job were the worst I have worked with in 6 moves( thus 12 companies)! The guy in the house wrapped my furniture, turning full chests upside down..breaking numerous articles, and damaging pieces, and his co-hort packing the pods did the worst job ever. Packing all of the boxes in two pods and then fitting furniture in the remaining, he wasted an amazing amount of space and did so with no consideration for the objects he was literally pushing and shoving into whatever space there was. My mattress was laid down flat on top of a layer of gardening tools, and had another layer on top of it. Yes...there was damage... The company I hired on this end were laughing at the incompetency and rude lack of respect the guy had for the job he was paid to do. The office quoted me two different prices for their hourly and of corse, wanted cash......... hmmmm! The way the guy packed the pods, I paid for shipping space that was empty because of his inability to so the job. I would rate this company at the bottom of the pile of available options. The whole scheduling experience was delightful. They got very small details from me and provided me answers for any questions I have. I hired them via the Thumbtack App, but apparently they are not on that service anymore so I'm leaving my review here. On the positive side, I called and needed six items moved for the next day. They were able to accommodate me and the two delivery drivers showed up on time. On the negative side, they quoted me a cash price of $120/hour and a credit card price of $135/hour. (3 hours minimum) I was ok with the cash price and they took a $100 deposit from me via a credit card on the phone when I booked the movers. The person on the phone told me that if I paid cash to the delivery men after the move, they would refund my $100 deposit to my credit card. I only needed to move six items in total from my condo to a storage unit about 2 miles away. The drivers, in my opinion, were very slow in getting things done. These six items (couch, table/4 chairs, queen mattress, chest of drawers and TV stand) took them almost two hours to complete the job. I even helped them move to make things quicker. Another set of delivery drivers from the same company showed up at the complex for another move and the four of them chatted for a while after getting me loaded while they were on the clock. I'm not sure if they were taking their time to extend the work. After completion of the delivery of the items to the storage unit, I paid them $360 in cash plus a small tip. The delivery driver even told me that he couldn't charge me a trip fee because the job was so quick. Well after about 10 days of waiting for my $100 deposit refund, I had to call them to check. They said that the delivery drivers only received $260 so no refund was to be given. I protested and the person on the phone, Juliana, had to check with dispatch to review the tapes. I also requested a copy of my receipt but she said that they already sent it to me which was not true. I had to call back again later that week to follow up on the receipt which she finally sent and then she would call me back on the $100 refund. Juliana did return my phone call and said that I should get my refund in 3-5 business days. I then had to call Juliana back to follow up and she said another 3 days. In total it took me 6 phone calls and 25 days for me to get a refund of my deposit. I would never use them again and recommend that you are aware that getting back a deposit is time-consuming and I think that they move slow in order to add up the time. read more

Used them for a move June 25th. Was a bad decision, first they are supposed to call 30 min before they arrive, we'll they didn't even have my phone # to call me, they had a totally different #. During the move they had to take my headboard apart on my bed to fit down the stairs, they didn't ask me or tell me they were doing so, I understand they had to , for the bed to fit down the stairs. Well they lost all my screws for my bed and till this day I cannot put my bed together. They scratched up my walls in a brand new house poked holes in walls, they lost or stole my step stool. There were a bunch of hidden prices at the end of the move. Every box was labeled for what room they go in.. they left more than half of my stuff in the living room and didn't bother to even attempt to put in designated area. I called and emailed the company to tell them all of this and sent pictures, they claims agent said he would refund me $11 and to take a magic eraser to fix my walls. This is not my job, the he offered me $50 for the inconvenience. I told him that was unacceptable and something else needs to be done. Told them my attorney will be in contact with them and after that they stop all contact with me. Very rude staff. Plus I gave the workers a bunch of free stuff I didn't need like a tv, a bike, couches, tables.. they pretty much toon care of the stuff I gave them better than my own stuff. Who has ever heard of paying $135/hr per mover plus $135/hr double time charge. It's absolute insanity. They worked for 5 hours and the company wanted me to pay $1600!! Not to mention, only about 2 hrs of work was actually performed. The movers they sent didn't speak English so imagine how that went. I was moving from east of San Diego with a regular size house but plenty of items in the garage. The movers called ahead of time and verified the address. They were on time, everything went well and completed the move to Sacramento. Nothing was lost and nothing was damaged. Nobody enjoys moving but I would hire them again! Discount if you can pay with cash. Some moving tips; -Figure out a date to move and get locked into their schedule. -don't unload every single drawer, often times they wrap the entire dresser and you will save so much time. -When they unload they set up large furniture items like beds and the rest of the items are unloaded in boxes or bulk bins and they do not unpack. -There is a difference between unloading, and unpacking! If you know where everything goes I suppose they will unpack but you need to pay by the hour for that. read more

This was the worst move experience we have ever had. We Booked 3 professional movers and we only got 1 that was an actual mover and the other 2 guys were on their first day and did not know anything. They showed up an hour late and then had no tools at all to disassemble the furniture. We had to provide them with tools after they spent hours with a small alan wrench to take a part a bed. This was a small move with only 2 bedrooms, a living room and no personal items at all. They had no moving dollies and the 2 new guys didn't know what to do and the 3rd guy was not giving them any instructions. We had to instruct them and move our own items into the truck to keep it moving along. The main mover was trying the best he could without tools or skilled help and we did feel bad for him. The 2 beds took hours to take a part and they did not know how to put them back together at the delivery location and it is still not together. One of the beds collapsed the minute we sat on it and have to have it fixed and assembled correctly now seperatly. We called the manager mid day to tell them that our team had no tools and they never called us back or cared at all. The small amout of furniture this move was should have only taken 3 or 4 hours even with disassemble and reassemble of the beds. They took over 8 hours as they were slow, the 2 new workers standing around a lot and lack of any abliity to put the beds together. This was an absolute dissapointment and the customer service is the worst. They did not care about how bad this move was. There are still missing items that they left in the truck as well. This move that should have been only 3 or 4 hours ended up costing 1700.00 dollars and no personal items or kitchen was moved. They are crooks and do not care about the customer! My rating is based mainly on office management. I was scheduled for an afternoon move, was told the guys would arrive between 2-6. They showed up at 6:35. Although I don't blame them. They began to tell us that they had 2 moves before us where they were responsible for packing all the items. Why would you schedule two guys to do 3 moves in a day?! 2 of them requiring to pack all the persons belongings. Luckily, everything in my apartment was already packed and ready to go. I was expecting this move to take about 3.5 hours Max. It took them 4 hours and 15 minutes and it was only cut short because we told them to put all the boxes in the garage and we would sort through it. I don't blame the guys, I know they were exhausted. I blame the company for very poor scheduling. On top of all of this, I still have not received my itemized receipt because I believe I was overcharged $100. If I could give negative stars, I would. My experience with this "company" was HORRIBLE. The job took much, much longer than was estimated/priced (they started in the morning and were very inefficient). When they finally finished late that night, I was charged an exorbitant amount because of the additional time they unnecessarily took. I paid, wanting the long day to be done, not realizing until later that several boxes were not put in the rooms they were labeled for, some not even brought into the house at all, just left in the garage. Since I couldn't carry them myself (hello, that's why I hired movers.....), I had to hire another service to move those items inside. Many of the things that they did move into the house were damaged, including broken dishes and glasses, a broken heirloom vase, chipped bedframe, chipped/scratched side and end tables, scratched/torn office chair, damaged the device holder on a treadmill to the point it is no longer usable, and countless other things I found as I was unpacking. I called the company to see if I could be reimbursed for the damages and despite providing all the information they requested, including pictures of all the damaged items, they gave me the runaround and eventually stopped responding. I then filed a claim with the BBB and the company LIED to them and said they sent me a check reimbursing me for the damage when they did not. I considered going to small claims court, but based on how they run their business and lied to the BBB, I'm sure they would drag it out for as long as they could and it would only take more of my time and money. read more

I wish I could give this company zero stars. By far the worst moving company I ever used. They originally quoted $140 for an morning move and $119 for a afternoon move. They were supposed to show up at 8am because we had to hire moving coordinators for our place in Little Italy. They showed up at 1:30pm and originally didn't even tell us they were running late. Thankfully our building coordinator that we had to hire for our building was chill. The movers were nice guys and gave us wardrobe boxes and packed up our lamp shades and some random stuff in their boxes. We gave them back all the boxes. The move was 4.5 hours and it was estimated to be $535 for the $119/hour price plus $60 for the truck fee so $595 total. Also they were running a Presidents' Day promo for a $100 off. We went to pay and they said that our move was $787 with the discount for Presidents' Day and they took the $100 deposit off. (total discount of $200). We had the guy call his boss and they said that the move was originally $987 with the discount when they moved only 20 minutes down the road. They refused to take any more off. They claimed the additional $200 plus was for renting moving boxes?! I am mind blown. They guy put our stuff in boxes without our consent and never said it was $200 plus to rent boxes. Also, they damaged my couch which has permanent brown spots on it. They said that "I can file a claim". According to other reviews they never get back to people when they file a claim. This company is the biggest scam ever. Please do yourself a favor and do not use them. I normally never write these reviews but I had to spread the word. I want to report them to the better business bureau. I am disgusted how they can scam people so much! read more
