Good food and warm service - definitely worth a visit for the view from the patio - and the bar is fun too

Reds is our go to for date night. Always great service and great food! Great atmosphere for a night out too. And I love their beer menu! The menu seasonally changes so I never get bored. Whether I'm in the mood for a steak, pasta, seafood or a salad, Reds will have something that is delicious. We recently went with friends for brunch and Reds is now my go to for brunch. 4 Stars is probably spot on for this place. Only went once, recently, and it was for brunch. The pros: Location View Service The look and feel of the restaurant The "not" pros: The food is good. Don't get me wrong. Just not "mind blowing". Or even great. My home fries were regular potatoes mixed with sweet potatoes, good idea I guess, I'm just not big into sweet potatoes and I don't remember if the description mentioned that fact. My crab cakes were also crunchy, as if the shell was mixed in with the meat. My buddy got the chicken and waffles and he and his wife said the chicken tasted dry. But he said he still really liked it. This place is deserving of 4 Stars. A lot to like, and a little to improve upon perhaps. read more

We ate here on a perfect Sunday afternoon on the outdoor balcony. The service was so good and friendly. All of the food, we shared a lot of dishes, were well prepared. The crab cake was exactly what I wanted. The local Virginia beer offerings were great. read more

On November 8th, this venue hosted a dinner event for me, which, without exception, was executed flawlessly. The on-duty manager (Ian) went out of his way to handle any last-minute request which I presented. Most commendable was the fact that the SOLE wait staff member assigned to our function, not only precisely handled beverage, appetizer and entrees ordered, but also expertly presented individual checks for each guest at the end of the evening. Exceptional service and outstanding menu choices made for a wonderful evening at Red's Table. This establishment ranks high on my list as to how a venue should handle its customers...professionally and courteously. Yes for scenery and beers; no for food. This is a great place to enjoy the lake vibes and have a beer. There is a decent draft list. One huge drawback is that even on a nice day in May when you come for the express purpose to sit on the lake there are plastic panels down, which make it feel like you're inside. I really hope they will pull these up for the rest of spring and summer. My waitress was friendly and prompt enough, which I appreciate. The food is extremely lackluster and I was disappointed with being hungry after ordering a $19 "larger plate" crab cake that came with a single cake and no filling sides. It tasted ok but I would not recommend ordering it for that reason. read more

The service is always so good a Red's and food was delish. We sat at the bar and Ian was our bartender. Absolutely love the bread there and the wedge salad was amazing and got some balsamic reduction on the side to drizzle on top. read more

We came here for the first time for lunch. We were greeted and seated quickly. The outdoor patio area is fantastic- its covered and enclosed with space heaters, and offers a fantastic view of the lake. The food was excellent. They had an ample kids menu, which is critical when dining with a 5 year old, and the pancakes were prefect for her. I went with the eggs Benedict. The bacon was nice and crispy, the eggs perfectly runny when cut, and the home fried potatoes were well seasoned. Overall a very good meal, and we will definitely come back! read more

A church member/friend of mine who lives in Reston mentioned this restaurant and how great the food was. It is located near the water. The service was great and the food was absolute delicious. We tried some appetizers, drinks, entrees and their homemade strawberry ice cream. YUMMY! The bang bang shrimp on those tortilla chips, crab cake with the large tomatoes in the sauce. Soooo good! We had a great time and full bellies when we left. Nice place. It is in the cut. Now that I know it is there I will definitely return. read more

Went with a bunch of people for early afternoon outside dining. The server was friendly and competent - he kept up with all our needs. Food was good, drinks were good, and environment was very nice. Great view on the lake and even though it was super hot out, with the ceiling fans it was comfortable where we sat. We will definitely do it again. read more

Really enjoy this place. Has a great view and the food is always good. Not pictured is the pork belly we got as an appetizer. The fried chicken sandwich was a lot. Actually ended up discarding some of the ciabatta but that's not a bad thing. The risotto was also tasty. Service was a little spotty, not sure if that's because we sat on the patio, but every server working seemed to stop by and be serving us which led to a mixup on a drink order that was easily fixed. Adorable little restaurant right on the pond in South Lake Village Center. The view from the patio is beautiful! This is the perfect place to people watch. Made a reservation through the Yelp app and it was very smooth. The food was delicious too! Sad to see that another one of my Yelp reviews has disappeared completely. My first visit (about a year ago) was not very stellar either. The service was good, but my food wasn't great. I had their version of the gazpacho and it tasted most like celery and cilantro, nothing tomato-y about this soup. I also tried their fried chicken sandwich and that was blah. It was made a little better by adding mustard that I had requested (the sandwich was condiment-less), but overall, was somewhat bland. I believe it was on a brioche bun and the only thing I tasted was the sweetness of the bread. Fast forward to this past week. I went there for lunch with friends. I ordered the 2 for $20 meal - one app, one entrée, drink. I ordered the buffalo wings and Reuben sandwich. The buffalo wings were spiced with Red's red pepper sauce/seasoning. I wasn't asked how spicy I would like the wings, and they had a little bit of heat to them. The sauce was a little tangy and sweet but the meat itself was bland and the skin was not crispy. The wings itself, quantity wise, was good enough for my main course, but I wanted to try their Reuben. The beef was not seasoned and a little fatty. The Russian dressing was put on hot/toasted bread too soon, so the dressing kind of cooked off and the kraut did not have much flavor either. Service this day was not warm and fuzzy either. Heard from a neighbor that this was one of the most underestimated restaurants in the area, and they did not disappoint! Met friends for brunch, and we instantly made plans to return. Fantastic beer selection, as well as a decent mimosa flight! Everything we ordered was a 5/5 hit. Bang bang shrimp was not the typical run of the mill deep fried small shrimp bites. Would recommend anything that has their fried chicken! The side of Mac and Cheese was by far the fan favorite. While visiting the the Wolf Trap Filene Center, we enjoyed an elevated dinner before our concert. The service was great. We had several staff visit us and check on us while enjoying our dinner. My only advice, at least maybe during dinner, would be to lower the music volume a smidge. Otherwise, fantastic! read more

Just the place to be today, as it turned 73 degrees here in Reston I had an enjoyable time here sitting on there outside patio area.. the watching the ducks in the water, the scenery coming into season....birds chirping...and the air....so very relaxing. I sipped on my bloody Mary seasoned just right, I studied the menu. There are some interesting items.. All the food coming my way to other tables looked and smelled sensational.... The burgers were huge, and the salads plentiful. I tried the homemade Belgian waffles with fried chicken with maple sriracha sauce. Let me tell you it's an awesome combination of flavors. Been thinking about what else I can put that on....Y U M M Y.... Scott our waiter was happy to share information about Red's Table, being my first visit, I needed to get the scoop. Seems they have HAPPY HOUR everyday including Saturdays and sundays..along with brunch til 4pm. Live music on Saturday nights.. Pleasant atmosphere even on the inside bar...TVs. and music playing tooo.. Justin in the bartender explained they also have daily beer special and a cocktail... They have happy hours food specials, plus a regular dining menu.... Staff so very polite, and all smiles.... I will be back to give the mussels and oysters a try !!! Hosted my best friends bridal shower here and it was a huge success! We had a private room in the back and we were able to set up all the stuff. The food we ordered was delicious - 3 pitchers of mimosas, charcuterie, Brie to start. Everyone ordered off the lunch and brunch menu and no one was disappointed. Superb neighborhood restaurant with seasonal fair, relaxing ambiance and view of the lake. The deck is heated in the winter and has fans in the summer, so I always try to get a seat on the deck, but bring a wrap in the winter as well. The menu changes slightly with the season, but quality is consistently good and we always have excellent service. They have a good selection of local Virginia beers as well and, in the summer, you can't beat ice cold beer with wings and the view of the lake. Food Suggestions: P.E.I.
