We went for some slices which have been hyped of late. After waiting for almost 15 minutes, we were served a Sicilian slice with pepperoni that was cold and had only a few cup pepperoni on it. Meh. The other speciality slice was a random assortment of ingredients that were also cold. Fried garbanzo beans and some other random stuff. Meh again. The little back patio for the slice area is also a bit depressing, with terrible hip hop blasting in the corner of the room. Oh and the slices were tiny. If you're going to do NY style slices, make larger pies and serve real slices. read more

My husband met a friend at Redeemer and I reaped the benefits of leftovers. There was only one slice but man was it good... left me wanting more! I got to try the Cacio E Pepe pizza and now all I want to do is go back and try more. Went to get a slice of pizza, was told they had the closest to a New York style pizza, in Denver. Ordered a slice and it was not good. Called and spoke with a young lady that played down my experience and I felt insulted, she then said let me get the manager. I'm not sure of the managers name on this night and I'm so sorry, this was the night after Christmas. He handled the situation so professionally, he reminded me that there are still businesses that care and believe in true customer service. He was accountable and expressed a desire to make it right for me. He did just that and I and my family are very appreciative and satisfied. We will be back. read more

Probably my favorite pizza in Denver right now, Redeemer's sourdough NY style pizza is uniquely good, perfectly cooked, and memorable. It's something different, and it's much, much better than Big Bill's. It's not big inside, so make a reservation online if you plan to dine in. This review is primarily from a Grubhub order. I've previously been to Redeemer and ordered by the slice. I'll say their pizza is serviceable and decent, but not extraordinary. For the style, I'd prefer Famous Original J's down the street. Big negatives to me were getting Caesar salad with brown, wilted lettuce that was either old or cut by a knife instead of hand torn. This is rarely a health issue but more of an aesthetic one which is unacceptable for any salad IMO. The Caesar salad itself is widely disliked by chefs around the country who attempt their own versions to make them stand out. In this case, a sesame Caesar which really doesn't work that well and has little resemblance to an actual Caesar salad. I'd be willing to bet most patrons like me would prefer a regular, well executed, traditional Caesar. Also, I ordered a side of marinara which was good, however ridiculously small for $2. More like a .50¢ side. Marinara is good tho, and I'm happy they use little to no sugar in it. Overall, I'd visit Redeemer again if I was close and wanted a slice after drinking, however wouldn't go out of my way. No complaints on service last time I went. read more

late night eats downtown denver. dont worry, once you walk in, its a fancy sit down restaurant but if you want slices they will direct you towards the back end where they serve by the slice with extensive beverage options. non alcoholic options as well. Had had the standard and pepperoni in the past (both are amazing) but wanted to switch it up and try something new. I couldn't find any reviews or pictures of this pie on yelp (here ya go) so I had to just try it myself. It did not disappoint. We got two pizzas, olives, and a salad to-go from here on the late night. First, if you've never been here it shares a wall with a pretty hoppin bar, with super loud music. Do not go here expecting a relaxing dining environment. The bad DJ's next door are probably the worst part of the experience, and they can't control it. So the good stuff. The pizza is fantastic. Their red sauce was our favorite, the Caio e Pepe was also very good, but a tad bit greasy. We also added prosciutto to the C&P, which was delicious but would prefer if they chopped it up a bit, so that you didn't take the entire slice of meat in a single bite. Last amazing part, their ranch is very dilly. If the combination of ranch and pickles is appealing you'll enjoy it (I loved it). The only misfire on the food for us was the simple salad's balsamic glaze. It's a bit sweeter than I'd like and more than I'd like. I prefer very light dressing most of the time. Perfection in a slice of pizza. Everything we ate here was delicious and showed attention to detail. I love when you go to a restaurant and know you are in the hands of people that respect the craft of making food. We started with the Caesar salad, chopped salad, porchetta and garlic knots. The Caesar salad and garlic knots were my favorite of the bunch. The garlic knots are unapologetic to anyone watching their waistline as they are stuffed with cheese and deep fried. I could have eaten the whole basket and then some they were so good. The Caesar salad was perfect and had just the right amount of dressing to cheese to crouton to lettuce ratio. I don't eat pork but the sunchoke sauce on porchetta dish was also outstanding. For pizza, we got three - the special of the day (sausage and squash), the diavalo and the standard. Two slices of the Sicilian with pepperoni also showed up at our table. The crust is phenomenal and unlike most pizza dough you will find. The standard had a fantastic tomato sauce, cheese and basil and was the one I focused my efforts on. Dunked in a bit of their dill ranch and this was a seriously good pizza. After seeing multiple Instagram posts about Redeemer (and also walking past them all the time when I am in RiNo), I popped in on a quiet Saturday afternoon after I had to run errands in the area. It was one of those super hot Denver days and you just want something fast but filling. I got to Redeemer a little after their lunch hours so I wasn't able to sample their specials. However, I got a slice of their pepperoni pizza and I was blown away. There were TWO different sizes of pepperoni on the slice and was thin, just the way I like it. The slice was big enough to fold it and shove into my face, as well as slightly oily (not greasy). Sorry to my favorite other Denver pizza place, I think Redeemer has placed you. I've occasionally dreamt about the slice I had (see pic). I'll be back.... Tip: They have a back area (follow the alleyway with graffiti) that takes you to their to-go window. Run there for their.... ice cream!! I went there last night to try a slice for the first time and saw Olive Oil ice cream as a daily flavor. I asked if where they source it or if they make it in-house. Surprisingly (for me), it was made in house, so I ordered it. It was astounding. I could taste the olive oil and then the salty flakes hit. It was perfection. Oh, and the NY style slice with sunflower pesto was great too especially that crust with a hint of sour flavor. The place was empty. Outside back area could be nice enough if you bring your own party. One pepperoni pizza and 2 cans of coke $35 plus tip. They do the thing we're you use your card and given an option of 18%, 20%, or 22%. Which is ridiculous, you get the same service that you do at McDonald's counter except you have to get your own plates. No Parmesan, no red pepper flakes, no oregano. I asked for a cup of ice and they yelled for me from the door to come get it. My point is no service given, but you don't tip after, you tip before. There was a large amount of grease on the mushroom and onion pizza, it leaked down my hand on the first bite, which did not impress me. Some may like their pizza greasy, but this was overly greesy. From the folks who brought you Dio Mio, Redeemer is here and I'm sure glad it is! I have been counting down the days, Instagram stalking on the regular, and even messaging these poor people in hopes of a slice of pie. Let me tell you, they didn't disappoint! The pizza is outrageous, it is what mushroom dreams are made of, I had two slices and was trying so hard to make room for more. The Ceasar salad is a must, it's a classic with a slight spin that leaves you coming back for more. Indoor seating is limited so make sure to get a resy before you come in. Only complaint was the music was just a little too loud sitting directly under the speaker, but other than that atmosphere and service was great top to bottom. Redeemer Pizza has a pretty good pie but it's pretty pricey- the one we ordered was $27 off the regular menu with no changes. We also got an order of garlic knots for $12- if we go back to Redeemer again we'll be giving those a hard pass- not our cup of tea at all. Sort of like cheese filled doughnuts. The best part of my Redeemer experience was the guy I ordered from on the phone. He was super friendly and seemed genuinely nice.
