I love Red Nails so much! We have been coming here for at least 10 years to get pedicures before trips or big events, and the service has been consistently amazing. The people who work there are so kind and funny. We always go with my grandma, who has been diagnosed with dementia, and they are so understanding and kind to her. So many colors to choose from and the color stays on forever! There are complimentary drinks, which is a nice touch! Red Nails will forever be our family pedicure place!! read more

Nancy is the best. I have been going to red nails for several years and just love those wonderful staff there.

I got a great pedicure on walk appointment. Lovel remember cash to avoid cc service fee.

Great service and a nice manicure every time. They are quick to get you in even when they are busy. A reasonable price as well!

For the last 3 years, Red Nails Salon is my go-to for both manicures and pedicures. They have a lot of pedicure and manicure stations - and walk-ins typically get seated right away. I see Trang and absolutely love her. She makes sure I am satisfied every time and I now consider her a friend. :) read more

Friendly staff! I was able to make a pedicure appointment the day of. They don't overbook so it feels comfortable when it's your turn. The deluxe pedicure felt so nice with hot towels, hot stones and body scrub especially considering that we live in such a cold climate for 6-months out of the year in Minnesota! My sister got the gel dip manicure and it went really fast and was applied with such gentle care. Stop in if you can! Great service and wonderful nail technicians! read more

I haven't been here in over 10 years because I was using another salon. After my previous one closed, I came back here and had an amazing pedicure. Service was excellent, pedicure was really well done (I have ugly feet from sports and cleats) and I was able to walk in. This may be my new place!!!! read more

I was able to get right in when I walked in. They had me sign in on a log at the front. They had plenty of colors to choose from. The place appeared to be clean and did not smell. I got a gel manicure for $40 and the massage at the end was so lovely. I love the job that was done. Completely satisfied. The only complaint would be $40 seems high for gel manicure. read more

I've been to this salon on and off for years. I usually go to Serenity Spa on Snelling but I was nearby. I was treated horribly tonight by 4 staff members - everyone knows that often at nail salons technicians talk #%*% about their clients, but usually it is a sentence or two and then onto being professional. This was beyond - the employees were clearly saying horrible things about the way I looked based on their tone and gestures, but it was especially clear they felt they could treat me without any care based on the lack of service I received. After the manager in front walked me behind the front desk no one greeted me hello, or offer to have me to sit down ... three of the staff members just grumbled and talked to each other while preparing my station, with not one comment to me, only to each other. I stood next to the chair for 5 minutes to see if anyone would invite me to sit, nope. Sat myself. There was a male staff member early 20's who was the rudest, looking me up and down hands over his mouth laughing a couple times, making gestures and the women getting my station ready were interacting along as well. I am a plus size chica and it was very obvious it was them discriminating me for my weight. I have thick skin (literally and figuratively ha!) and am usually unbothered and able to brush things off but as mentioned before this was beyond what I've experienced. Finally after sitting myself down and after one staff member lazily pointed to the gel color selection for me to choose, without choosing to try and interact with me, I stood up and and said you know what I'm canceling this... I walked out, the manager looked at me a little confused but not in a genuine way - I said I'm leaving. He asked why- I said your staff was very very rude. Asks Again: what? ....why? I said they were clearly saying some really rude things about me, I'm not stupid.... He said "I'm So sorry.." but again it didn't feel genuine. To go somewhere that's meant to be a place for self care and to feel beautiful and then be treated so cruelly ... no words except karma! The energy you give always comes back tenfold. I will never be going back here and have already let my friends and family know about this experience. read more

I just wanted to recommend Red Nails in the Highland park village and thank them for friendly and amazing service today. I had a pedicure that included a wonderful hot stone massage and a dip manicure. I brought in a photo of a natural pink color I liked, and Queen, the lovely owner, mixed two color dips to recreate the natural look I was hoping for. She took my dry, Minnesota winter hands and feet and made them feel and look terrific again. This was actually my first dip manicure, and it is super durable which is key for someone who never gets manicures because I destroy them before I get home. They also do free parafin wax hand treatment when you do a mani and pedi! Their business looked a bit slow, so I wanted to make sure we support this wonderful small business in our neighborhood and keep them open- read more

I've been going to this salon for about 6 months. Pretty convinced that Kimmy is the one and only that can do a decent dip manicure. Unfortunately, she was out last week (yay she got a day off!). Queeny the owner and one of the only 3 in the entire salon that know how to do dip. My cuticles a week later still are painful if I put my hand in my purse, or have anything come near them. She used the drill to cut my cuticles as well as using the cuticle cutter, and when I bled, she applied acetone. Everyone on of my fingers hurt, most bled around the nail-bed and underneath. If you go- if you want Dip- Kimmy is the ONLY one to trust. The salon DOES have a very nice selection of colors, and invested a ton that match both gel and dip. read more

I consider myself a very loyal customer. I shop local & been shopping same stores and hair dresser for years. For well over 10 years I have been going to Red nails. I have seen many changes over the years new management new owners new staff. As soon as I walked in the door today I knew it was different. I did not recognize a single face. I was greeted politely & seated right away. I received a pedicure manicure and an eye brow wax. While one was doing the pedicure another came over to do my brows. A little odd usually it's done in the facial room. She applied the wax used the tweezers to pull a few hairs. Never brushed them out nor did she trim them or shape them. On to the manicure. I did not want any color as I work in food service & cannot wear polish. Usually they would soak in warm soapy water then trim my nails and shape them then clean under and buff them. Apply cuticle oil and trim. Then a nice arm and hand massage followed by warm parfin wax. This time it was a quick soak and file and cuticle cut. With some hand cream applied. As I sat there looking around I could not help but notice how the cleanliness has gone down hill. The glass between us was very dirty the others as well. The counters and the back counters and shelves cluttered & dirty. I moved to the area to dry my toes under the air dryer this area was dusty & dirty as well. The trash can to dispose of the flip flops was over full with trash and very dirty. The floor looked like it had not been mopped in some time. When it was time to pay I thought I was dreaming. My total was $92.00 dollars. She charged me full price for that manicure. But wait there's more as you walk in the door there's a wall where all the polish is kepted there's a statue of a Buda with burnt old sticks of incense around it. On top of a few of those old sticks were old nasty cigarette butts!!!! WTH. Needless to say I won't be back. read more

I am literally not even out of the chair yet and i needed to say how great this place is... not only did i get the electric pumice stone but then she broke out the scrub brush too. Wow absolutely amazing and definitely worth it! read more

I went to here for years I went with a guest and the owner was very rude,. We made two appointments for two nail people. We had plans after and she did not have two people. I tried to speak to her about it so I could change plans and the owner ignored me- I left since when make appointment I have keep them . The owner does not respect appointment. She also does not keep the place clean and is dirty. I am sad to write this the place was close. I will go back to twin city nails where they respect appointments. read more

Every time I look at my toes I have a resentment. I'd asked for the toes to be cut straight, and not short. Well, the slightly heavier set gal butchered my toenails like she was doing surgery. I'd asked for a natural nail finger nail repair where I'd caught a deep chip and all she did was cut it with the clippers. It's just bad vibes in there, too. The new owner seems really witchy. Done. read more

I've never been disappointed here. But really, who can complain about having their feet massaged, and their toes painted all pretty? I usually go on a weekday, during the day, so I've never had to wait, but once found myself here on a Sunday and it was PACKED. No wait though. Yes, it's a bit of a chaotic mess, and I'm fairly convinced someone is ALWAYS talking about me, but who cares. Good people. Good service. $30 for a pedicure. read more

One of the worst experiences I've ever had. The woman doing my manicure was new and was not trained properly to use the buffer machine to take my gel manicure off. In the process, she buffed the tops of all my nails off which made my nails brittle and caused continuous pain which I still have a day later. Another woman told me I would be ok but I could tell they were all talking to each other knowing something was actually wrong. They then said the only thing I could do was get a dip manicure which I didn't want and still charged me. It will be a long process to grow my nails back and I hope this didn't cause permanent damage. read more

Nice and clean establishment. But nails were poorly done and EXTREMELY overpriced. My gel manicure had air bubbles in it. She filed it before it had dried and then didn't fix the smudges. I would not return. read more

I was nervous going in for a mani/pedi, but was pleasantly surprised with the precautions they've made due to COVID. Plexiglass separations in front of manicure & pedicure chairs. Made an appointment for a full acrylic set with Gel polish (The appointment making was very easy and quick so points for that!), showed up at my time and headed in, was greeted and shown to a seat, and my service began- everything off to a great start! About 15 minutes in, a nice lady that had been waking around approached me after I had selected my colors (from what I thought was a gel color book) and told me that I should *absolutely* get dip rather than gel & acrylic. Personally, I don't know that much about nails but wanted to stick with what I've done before so I tried to politely say no, to which my next 10 minutes in the chair were spent still attempting to turn down the dip set until I finally gave in to stop the pushing. I was told it lasts up to a week longer than acrylic, that it's safer, which I did look up and seems to be true- but not when the nails fall off 10 days after they were applied, with the gel top coat that was applied pealing up 3 days later... No extraneous usage of my hands or anything that would cause them to literally just pop off.... sad to say I won't be returning both from the extreme pushing of different services than scheduled, as well as the poor application read more

Horrible. I went in to remove my old acrylics and get and gel manicure. The lady doing my nails didn't soak my acrylics but ripped them off! It hurt very bad and left my nails very damaged. She cut my cuticles to the point where they bled, and my final gel polish was all lumpy and bumpy. Would not recommend. read more

This is my last-resort spot for a pedicure. My biggest complaint isn't the actual service, but the disorganization and chaos that's ever-present there. Once, I made an appointment, arrived 10 minutes early and then sat waiting for 30 minutes as walk-ins got seated before me. Once I finally got a chair, no one was ready to fix up my toes, so there I sat some more. Eventually (45 minutes after my scheduled appointment time!) I just walked out. The owner, instead of apologizing or offering a discount, was like "You can't wait a little more?" Um, no sir, I can't. Anyway, your money is better spent somewhere else, as the service and pricing options here both aren't exceptional. read more

Whoever voted Red Nails as "best pedicure" has never had a good pedicure. The shop is crowded, noisy, and works like an assembly line. If you want an efficient, quick, acceptable pedicure or manicure, Red Nails would be fine, except as far as I could see, they don't disinfect their tools. The nibs for the filing machine were simply kept in a jar with no Barbicide. The files/buffers were re-used. I will not be going back. read more
