Horrible experience from a service stand point. It's not a sit down and order your food and your waitress will be with you restaurant. Very much fast food style without having fast food. We waited in line for about 15 mins to get our order, paid for it, and then we sat down waiting. What we did now was was wait for about 30 mins and still no food. We saw others that came after us get there food. We decided to go up and check what was going on. They FORGOT our order ‍ we had been there a total of 45 mins and they had forgot our order. We got our refund and left. Biggest part is service, please go out of your way when you make mistakes. HOLY GUACAMOLE !! This place was the bomb. If you're tastebuds are in the mood for a cultural journey, this place is a great restaurant to try. The food is unique but nothing so crazy, your kids wouldn't want to try it. The menu was simple and the food really fresh! The price was a little more than I expected but still definitely in the 1.5 dollar sign range. My husband and I ordered the Lomo Soltado (substitute sweet potato fries) and the 1/4 chicken. The reason I say it is a diamond in the rough, is because it is in a very unassuming location with very simple decor and and a simple menu. I am going to start off by saying I really really really wanted to give this place a 5 star. Went tonight with my wife and kids and ordered a lomo saltado, ají de gallina and half a chicken with yuca and rice, when I ordered the guy told me they had run out of chicken and that it would be a 30 minute wait so I said that was okay. 30 mins later the lomo saltado and ají de gallina came out and to me it wasn't a surprise it took that long cause if you read their reviews that's a normal wait time for them. My wife and kids ate their food and literally finished it all, the cashier came up to me to tell me the chicken was done (50 mins after I ordered) but that they had run out of rice... I was forced to pick a side I didn't really want because I honestly wanted the rice but I wasn't gonna complain because I was pretty hungry by then so I just told him to bring me French fries. It took another 10 mins after that for them to actually bring me my food out. I manage a chain of restaurants (5 locations) and if any of my food takes that long and on top of that sometime my customer ordered ran out I would have given that meal for free or offered free dessert, anything to make that customer feel he was important. And that I acknowledge we messed up and that his business is important to me. But in this ocassion not even a sorry was offered to me. Overall the food was really really good (with exception of the sweet potatoes fries that were soggy and cold) the lomo Saltado had a good flavor and the aji de gallina did as well, and when my chicken came it was not good, but great!!! Prob some of the best I've had here in Utah. But for an hour wait? Just not worth it. It saddens me because it's locally owned and family owned and I know they are trying to figure things out because they are starting to get more reviews and customers..... but good customer service should always be the end goal and I felt that didn't exist there with my experience with my meal. If you go when it's not busy, go in and eat because the wait won't be long and you will enjoy it! I just don't recommend it when you see 10-15 people in there. read more

Being a new spot in town with Lomo Saltado, I had to try it out. The location is usually pretty busy and it's understandable why: If you've heard of Lomo Saltado and haven't tried it before, I would recommend this one to try out for your first time. Not to mention their roasted chicken that nearly just falls off the bone sometimes. It is pretty tender and very well seasoned. I've found that unless you are starving, it's not hard to share just one order of Lomo Saltado with one other person. Love the chicken and green dipping sauce. Took my mother here (been here about 15 times). Ordered eat-in. After dropping a tip in jar, girl at register told me I should have given it directly to her. Looked at her confused when she called my name at counter that the order was ready. It was all bagged up. I said something to her but she shrugged it off. Took it to the table and realized it wasn't exactly what we'd ordered, but I didn't want to make a fuss. We divvied up our food and were eating when the girl reappeared and said we had the wrong order. She took the other container of food we hadn't eaten and went and handed it to another customer (although we had touched it). This happened a few months ago but remains a sore point for me. For those of you not familiar with Pollo Inka, my condolences to you and yours. It is a beautiful place with a variety of authentic dishes and sumptuous desserts. Sadly, my fortunes had changed since moving here. Though there is "Se Llama Peru" in Provo, I yearned for more. A friend recently recommended Red Fuego and I ventured out to try it. I was not disappointed. Though their dishes aren't as extensive as other places and they don't have Picarones (A tragedy of massive proportions!!), their rotisserie chicken was amazeballs! I ordered a half a chicken knowing I could take any leftovers home. I could not eat it soon enough. In fact, there. were. No. Leftovers. Their fries, plantains, rice and chicken were all to die for. Oh yum! I'm starting to realize when I find myself saying "I wish this was in my neighborhood" I should write a review. For $8 I had one of the best meals I've had in a long time. There's a good selection of side dishes, as well. I ended up ordering the steak dish. It's grilled steak and vegetables on a bed of fries and rice. The vegetables may have been the highlight of this dish. They were perfectly grilled. And the sauce they gave to eat it with was amazing. My co-workers all got the chicken and couldn't stop raving about how great it was. I'll have to try that next time. The building is very clean, modern, and pretty informal. The chicken is so moist, full of flavor, and delicious! Most places' chicken tastes OK on the outside, but then when you get to the inside it's kind of bland and not so flavorful. The salad was awesome, the fruit seemed carefully picked, the fries were crisp and fresh, and I loved the rub they used on the chicken. Food came fast as well!
