The instantaneous gratification hit me where I almost uttered "I am glad that I took the time to come here!" I wanted to peruse the menu. To my "Give me a moment" statement, the kind lady said "Of course, take your time. We also have a Valentine's Day special drink right here!". It was a white chocolate based mocha which sounded quite sweet so I asked her if it was sweet to which she said "It's very sweet but we can always adjust it to half the syrup!" All kinds of considerate words were made in each of her reply. I decided to go simple today; I went with the drip coffee which comes with unlimited free refills. The lady gave me one of the cups and told me where the pot that contained the drip was located. Alongside the pot, there was a super mini refrigerator that contained two jars of cold milk: one is half and half and the other is oat milk. What a kind care the shop does to keep them chilled. The simple drip coffee was just what I needed; it hit the spot. And tasted clean with no burnt notes at all. Quality coffee indeed. As I was immersed in this review writing in the ambient setting, the shop started to fill with guests. Although it's so tucked in this little mountain town, there appear to be "coffee fanatic fans" that know this place. And like me, I assume that many of them are not the local town folk. There is no wonder why they are drawn to it; they know where to find great coffee spots. I loved every single bit of this cozy place. Somehow I left with five complaints, an identity crisis, and a growing suspicion that nobody in this building has ever met a bottle of leather conditioner. Let's start with the chairs. Those leather chairs are DRY. Not "could use a little moisturizer" dry. I mean divorced-dad-elbows-in-February dry. I sat down and the leather made a noise that sounded like it was begging me to finish it off. Those chairs are one ass cheek away from splitting open like a gas-station hot dog. Buy some leather conditioner. Rub it in. Sensually if necessary. At this point, those chairs need foreplay. Next: the cinnamon roll. WHERE THE FUCK IS THE CINNAMON? Calling this thing a cinnamon roll is like calling a handjob a honeymoon. Technically something happened, but nobody should be satisfied. I want CINNAMON. I want enough cinnamon that when I take the first bite, my Apple Watch asks if I've been exposed to an industrial spice accident. Right now the cinnamon is apparently working remotely. A few other items that need immediate executive attention: First, your napkins have the structural integrity of wet toilet paper. But now we need to discuss the coffee handoff situation because this shit is insane. When you put two drinks in front of customers, isn't it fairly standard coffee-shop behavior to SAY WHAT THE FUCKING DRINKS ARE? Something simple. "Latte." "Mocha." "Yours." "Hers." Anything.
