Stopped in after hearing about this place a few weeks ago and am now obsessed! The honey cinnamon latte I had was sooo good and the turkey sandwich was huge and delicious as well, both for very reasonable prices. Super cute inside too - lots of light and good vibes. I asked the guy behind the counter for coffee bean recommendations, and he was very knowledgeable and happy to talk about all the different beans. Turns out he's the owner, and he told me how he goes to Peru every year to source the beans. I also grabbed a loaf of sourdough to go and it's no question my new favorite in Colorado. Really enjoying the Peru blend of whole beans I took home as well. Wish I lived closer, because I'd be coming here several times a week if I could! read more

I gave this place a second try after a year and I'm glad I did. The latte that I had was absolutely delicious and I also ordered a bagel with cream cheese and tomato. The bagel was fantastic, well toasted and a little crunchy, and the tomato was fresh and juicy. I absolutely loved it! The only cafe in the area. It holds its own and I love coming here when I'm in the area. Today we came the day before Christmas and this place is buzzing. Tons of seating despite the crowd. Family friendly options and holiday options as well. We ordered the Red Song tea and the peppermint mocha latte. If you ask to dine in they put your beverage in actual cups. Love sipping on a hot drink while watching the snow fall outside. The tea was delicious, slightly sweet. The mocha had no peppermint flavor whatsoever. But the mocha latte as a whole was good. Their pastries were sold at every table, but this time we stuck to the drinks only. They sell wine by the glass, bottles in the back. And also beer on tap. Such a cool place that's bright and airy. Color is located a few miles off of I-70 in Eagle. It's a large shop where they're roasting their own beans, serving up coffee, food, pastries and selling merchandise and bags of their beans. My husband ordered an iced vanilla latte with oat milk while I ordered a double espresso. The latte was pretty good, though not as coffee forward as he'd like while my espresso was sweet and smooth. I also brought home a bag of beans with mandarin and butterscotch notes, which I will grind and brew this week at home. It's a nice spot for a quick break on the drive from Denver to the Western Slope that isn't the big green chain. The Amazing Race must've been in town recently because there are posters all over the outside of the coffee shop, so it'll be a nice treat to see it highlighted when it airs. read more

All I really have to gauge my love of Color Coffee Roasters is my experience with ordering from them online - but it was GREAT! I ordered the Eclipse roast, and it was FANTASTIC. Nice and dark without being acidic at all... really nice. I live in Downtown Denver and Color Coffee is about two hours away from me, but I like to support CO roasters, so I thought I'd give them a shot and I'm so glad I did. I will absolutely order again. I thought the little handwritten postcard was a really nice touch - no other roaster I've ordered online from in CO has done that. I really, really like this coffee shop. The product is on point, and after doing research about the owners and their mission, like this place even more. Can get to be a socially live place, so if you are looking for a quiet spot to study this may not be the best because it's typically busy. But there are times it is chill. All the breads and pastries and made in house by Amaza Bread company right in the shop! They also carry a large collection of hot sauces, beers, and fine wines. Highly recommend stopping in to Color Coffee Roasters!! My mom and I are very picky with our coffee/ baked goods and WOW! The coffee was delicious (cappuccino with Califia almond milk). They roast the beans in house! We also got their amazing avocado toast on the homemade sourdough! All of the breads (lemon poppyseed, banana, pumpkin, and cranberry orange) we bought were light/fluffy and not too sweet, very delicious!! There is plenty of room to sit and eat or study! Could not recommend this place more! Definitely a perfect place to stop and get great breakfast and coffee plus staff was friendly! Also, great view and sweet town! read more

Drove 30 mins to support a local coffee shop only to experience a very below average latte. Service was lacking and the baristas completely blew off our order once we had chosen our drinks. The iced honey latte we ordered did not have any honey in it (or didn't taste like it did) so I asked them to add some. They offered to remake it and did, only for it to taste basically the same. Coffees were okay, specialty lattes were expensive ($7), but the ambiance was decent. read more

Color Coffee is quite enjoyable. While, I love their pastries....when they are baked properly. Multiple times and different months the Croissants where burned and raw on the inside. The last two times I'd been the pastries were great.... However, the last time there I asked to check the bottom of the pastry, so that when I got home I wouldn't t have to trash it. I asked the barista about the burn on the top, to which I heard that's the way "they are supposed to be", no I don't think so. Cool idea, local Roastery/interesting space. The problem is that the coffee isn't good. I'm not claiming to be an expert but I come from a city where coffee is religion. "Locally roasted" seems more important than quality. Also--barista's are BA Baracus. Poo attitudes. That's not what the coffee shop experience is meant to be. And for what is supposed to be a homegrown coffee shop experience - I would've hoped for at least some interpretation of why/what adds to the quality of the coffee. Instead I just got a beautifully poured but weakly flavored and un-rich drink which wouldn't stand up to even a Starbucks mocha by most standards. Bummer. read more

This has become my favorite refuge in Eagle. The coffee is divine, and I particularly swoon for their special lattes like the lavender honey latte and the new pumpkin butter latte. If you're peckish, you won't be disappointed, their waffles are ahhhhhmazin and I dig their quiche, toasted goodies, bagels and more. It's a lovely, modern coffee shop with outdoor seating and a couple of sweet nooks if you want to write your day away on your laptop. The coffee and food are good, but this place is really slow. Took about 30 minutes to get a cup of drip and another 15 to get a burrito. There were only 5 people in line in front of me. Come in if you have time for a slow lazy morning. The atmosphere is nice. But if you are looking for a quick bite and a coffee before a bike ride, look elsewhere. read more

Color roasts all their beans in house and they make the best lattes in the valley. I love their variety of fancy lattes, but my favorite is the simple syrup latte. Color also has great local beers on tap and tasty snacks-get the waffles! (Especially in late summer during Palisade Peach season. ) read more
